Today we will step away from the kitchen for a while and discuss another aspect of the Mediterranean lifestyle. Movement.
In fact, we will look at the idea of moving in two ways: "move," as in change your location. Moving to another city or country. Studies show that where you live is at least as important as "how" you live. It can have profound effects on your happiness, and as a result, your longevity.
But we will also discuss movement in the sense of exercise. Nothing too strenuous, but just enough to keep us younger and healthier.
However, I end the episode with a more extreme form of exercise, and that is in the form of a short essay I wrote about my time living in Rome and training for a marathon. It also happened to be a great way to get to know different parts of the city on foot instead of from a crowded bus or popping out of a metro station. I hope you enjoy it and your feedback is very welcomed.
