Sam Brasfield served in the Navy for 36 years, first enlisted and then earned his commission as an EOD Officer, ultimately retiring as a Captain. While he had a very successful military career, the focus of this podcast was on how he chose to exit the military.
Being given the opportunity to through-hike the Appalachian Trail by Warrior Expeditions, along with the encouragement and approval from his wife to be gone for six months, he chose a rigorous and uncommon path.
