Are you convincing yourself to stay small in your business because it feels safe? That's the challenging question at the heart of this transformative episode. As soul-led entrepreneurs, we often tell ourselves we're "content" with our current revenue, but what if this mindset is actually fear in disguise?

I dive deep into the psychology behind our resistance to scaling, revealing how what seems like contentment might actually be a subtle form of self-sabotage. For coaches, creatives, and healers, your business was never just about making money—it was about creating profound change in the lives you touch. When we shift our focus from revenue to impact, everything transforms.

The truth is startlingly simple yet powerful: "When we play small, we reach small." There are people around the world waiting for exactly what only you can offer—your unique approach, your specific message, your particular brand of support. By limiting your reach, you're inadvertently limiting how many of these people will ever find you. Your movement remains confined, not because you lack value, but because you've chosen comfort over expansion.

Don't let technical challenges or unfamiliar business systems hold you back. Find support, learn what you need to know, or partner with someone who complements your strengths. Remember that scaling doesn't diminish your authenticity—it amplifies your impact. Ask yourself today: How might you support more clients? How could your message reach those who need it most? The world needs your light now more than ever. Are you ready to shine brighter?

Coaches, healers, and creatives—how much money are you leaving on the table?

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, this is Annie Veblen-McCarty and I'm gonna
teach you how to be effortlesslyproductive.
I've been an entrepreneur forover 20 years and I got sick and
tired of experts preaching whatbusiness and life should look
like and what I should be doingas a leader and to turn a profit
, only to find myself wastingtime, burned out, feeling

(00:22):
inauthentic and still not makingany money.
On this show, we are ditchingthe shoulds.
I'm giving you permission to dobusiness differently.
As a certified master coach, Ibelieve that everything you need
to have success and build thelife and business of your dreams
is already living on the inside.

(00:43):
I'm going to empower you tolean into what you do best, help
you see your path forwardclearly and give you the
strategy and action steps alongthe way to become effortlessly
productive.
Let's dive in.
Welcome to today's episode ofEffortlessly Productive.
Today, we are diving intotalking about scaling scaling

(01:07):
our business and we are going tobe focusing specifically on
something that I have heard.
So many people say that theythink that they don't need to
scale their business becausethey are happy with the revenue
they're at or the amount ofrevenue that they want to make
to make ends meet in theirbusiness and just to be

(01:30):
comfortable, to be content.
It doesn't take that manyclients to work with and I do
love people really leaning intowhat they want and what their
goals are.
However, I often find that thisbelief is actually coming from
more of a place of scarcity.
This is maybe not the mostempowering belief, and that's

(01:53):
what we're going to dive into alittle bit deeper today.
When I dig into this as a coach, I often find that people have
set these smaller goals forthemselves and have talked
themselves into being contentand being happy and just being
okay with staying at a certainlevel of revenue in their

(02:15):
business, because going to thatnext level feels really scary.
And maybe you are in asituation where the income
you're making with your businessyou're good and that's amazing
to be good.
In fact.
I want you to take a second tocongratulate yourself and
celebrate yourself and be soproud of what you have achieved.

(02:38):
Many entrepreneurs and businessowners out there who do not
achieve that place of being goodwith their income, being good
with the revenue they arebringing in.
So if you are in that place, let's just first of all take a
second to give you a huge shoutout and celebrate you right now.
However, maybe you're listeningto this and you're like well,

(03:00):
that isn't me.
I am not at the place where Iam comfortable with the amount
of income and revenue I ammaking in order to make ends
meet, in order to support myfamily.
In order to achieve these goalsthat we have in our life,
whatever they are, I do need alittle bit more revenue or
income, or maybe a lot moreincome, and that is totally okay

(03:23):
too.
But most of us have taken thetime and if you've not done this
, I highly recommend doing this.
Take a look at the offers thatyou have or the offers that you
want to create and launch.
Maybe you're just kind oflooking at it more like your
containers that you have and youhaven't maybe fleshed those out
yet.
You don't know exactly what'sgoing to go into them, but you

(03:45):
know, for example, maybe youwant to offer a high ticket,
one-on-one package and maybe agroup program or a membership,
so we kind of have a price ideaon those, a range, and we can
actually break that down and belike okay, in order to achieve
the income or the revenue goalthat I have, in order to achieve

(04:25):
the income or the revenue goalthat I have.
I would need this many highticket clients and this many
people in my membership or in alower ticket offer, and that is
a great, great place to be.
That's a great number to havein mind.
And maybe you're looking atthat number and you're like okay
, but I don't need to scale mybusiness in order to reach that
number.
And I think that's for most ofus, like we probably could be
relatively comfortable in ourbusiness without having to do
massive, massive scaling.
However, maybe you're somebodywho has these huge goals and
you're like no, no, no, I knowthat I need to scale.
And that's another take on thiswhole thing right when you're

(04:47):
like I know that I need to scale, but today I want to focus on
the idea we're going to have alittle bit of a perspective
shift here because, even thoughmaybe we could be comfortable,
we could make ends meet, wecould bring in the income that
is going to be good for ourgoals and for our family without

(05:07):
really doing too much scalingin our business.
Remember, business is not allabout revenue.
It's not all about the moneythat we are making.
Yes, that is a very importantpart of business.
That's a very important thingto take into consideration.
I want you to have thesefinancial goals, I want you to
get to a place where you arecomfortable and that all of your

(05:31):
financial dreams are comingtrue.
But again, like I said at thebeginning, we often end up
convincing ourselves to play alittle bit smaller because we
can hit that income level andjust be good.
But I want you to think aboutyour business not through the
lens of income for a minute, notthrough the lens of revenue I

(05:54):
minute.
Not through the lens of revenue.
I want you to think about whyyou are doing this and, as a
soul-led entrepreneur, whetheryou are a creative, whether you
are a coach, whether you are inthe spiritual coaching realm,
whether you work with businessowners, entrepreneurs, no matter
what you do, you are herebecause you are a visionary, you

(06:17):
are a healer.
You have this greater purposeon your heart and in your soul.
That is driving you and I knowthat because I am you.
I know that pull, that you getthat excitement that fills you
up when you think about allthese lives that you are
changing, about all these peoplethat you get to help each and

(06:41):
every day.
You have such a huge mission.
It's not just a mission, it isa movement.
If you start to think about andvision and dream the impact that
you want to make on this world,my guess is that is something
huge, and it doesn't necessarilyhave to be huge in numbers, but

(07:02):
it is huge in impact.
It is huge in the depths ofyour soul and the depths of so
many souls that you are going totouch and you are going to help
and you are going to serve.
And so when we start to keep inmind about this impact, all of
a sudden things shift right.
Yes, we might always want likea little more income, a little

(07:23):
more income, but we will get toa place in our business where we
are comfortable.
There is that income levelwhere you are comfortable, you
are good, you have all of yourbills paid for and maybe you
could have a little bit extra togo play.
But when we start to thinkabout the impact, that is an
area I find that especially you,my friend, especially you, that

(07:45):
soul-led entrepreneur, you wantto make as big of an impact as
you possibly can, as deep of animpact as you possibly can, as
deep of an impact as youpossibly can.
And so this perspective shiftI'd like to offer you is that
scaling is not just about yourincome, it's not just about your

(08:06):
business revenue.
It is about the lives that youare reaching and the lives that
you are touching.
There are so many people outthere in this world who need you
.
You are literally that hope andthat light that they have been
looking for, and by you startingto scale your business, that

(08:27):
means that you get to reach morewomen.
When we play small, we reachsmall.
When we play big and scale, wereach big.
This is about your movement.
This is about your impact.
This is about your legacy thatyou are leaving for the world.
So scaling is about so much morethan that money, right?

(08:51):
Scaling is about so much morethan the money.
It's about reaching thesepeople who are all over the
world who, literally, arewaiting for your light and
waiting for your hope andwaiting for your healing or your
creativity or your beauty oryour coaching.
They're waiting for yoursupport.
When we are able to reach more,we are able to spread our

(09:15):
message further.
We are able to spread ourmessage to more people who want
to hear it and who need to hearit.
And when we spread our messagefurther and we are able to work
with more people.
When we have that bigger impact, that is when we start to
create real change in the world, real massive change.

(09:38):
And as a collective imagine ifevery single one of us went into
business with a perspective andwent into each and every day
saying how many lives can Iimpact and how can I impact them
in the deepest way possible.
If each and every one of us didthat and took that approach to

(09:58):
our business, imagine the changethat we could affect in the
world.
So when you start to thinkabout scaling because now we're
going to bring this back thismight require some tech
knowledge that you don't have.
It might require some energyput into these scaling and
building techniques and businesssystems.

(10:20):
That is maybe not yourwheelhouse and I would encourage
you, if you're like this is notat all my wheelhouse, go find
somebody who can help you andsupport you.
Go find somebody who can do itfor you or do it with you.
I love to do things with people.
I love to help people buildthese business systems and these
automations and these ways toscale their business, because

(10:43):
not only are they getting tolearn how to do it, they're
getting my support along the way.
So I walk them through how todo these things, and then they
are empowered and they know howto do it in the future.
Or if they decide that they'regoing to hire somebody to do it,
they know exactly what is to bedone and that way they can hire
the very best person for thatjob so that what comes out of it

(11:08):
is so beautiful and so perfectand so supportive of their
business.
When we can start to think aboutthis impact and affecting this
real, huge change across theworld, we're going to lean into
this, we're going to lean intothis, and when these fears and
these worries and these doubtsand maybe insecurities, when

(11:29):
things come up with our businesswhere we're like I don't quite
know how to do that or I'm notsure how to support that many
people in my business, when wecan remember that impact that
we're having, we will find theanswer.
We will start asking ourselvesmore powerful questions like how
could I support more clients?
What are all the ways that Icould support more clients in my

(11:52):
business?
What are all the ways that Icould have my message spread to
more people?
What are all the ways that Icould have my message spread to
more people?
What are all the ways that Ican create more of an impact and
more of this real, lasting, impactful, soul-level change
across the planet.
So take this with you, lean intoscaling, ask yourself who do I

(12:14):
know or who do I need to meetthat can help me with all of
this, and let's go.
Let's go make some real changehappen on this planet.
Let's go spread that hope andspread our light, because people
now need us more than ever.
I hope you have a beautifulrest of your day.
I can't wait to catch you onthe next episode of Effortlessly

(12:36):
Productive.
Let's go do this.
Have a fantastic, magical day,my friend.
