Speaker 0 (00:00):
Welcome to today's
episode of Effortlessly
Productive.
Have you ever felt like youwere doing all the things in
your business but you are juststuck?
Maybe you are stuck with newclients coming in.
Maybe you feel like you're justtalking to the same people over
and over and over again.
Maybe you are somebody who isstuck at that $3,000 to $5,000 a
(00:24):
month mark and, no matter whatyou do, it just feels like you
cannot get that income to budge.
I know that I have had times inmy business where, month after
month, or even year after year,I was capped at an income and it
felt like, no matter how hard Iworked, I could work harder and
harder and harder.
(00:44):
It felt like, no matter howhard I worked, I could work
harder and harder and harder andI would get the same results as
maybe working less, maybe notbeing as intense, and I just
couldn't break through thatplateau.
So we are going to talk todayabout a few of the reasons this
might be happening.
Now, obviously, there are lotsof things that we could dive
into.
This would be something that, with a one-on-one client, we
(01:12):
would spend a few months deepdiving into all of this.
But I just want to share withyou some of the common things
that I see with some of myclients and also some things
that I have experienced in mybusiness as well.
One of the main reasons whypeople get stuck in their
business is because of actuallya dysregulated nervous system.
When we show up for ourbusiness, that energy that we
(01:34):
have, that reaction that ourbody has to what is happening,
dictates a lot of what happens, result wise, in our business.
We can approach this from moreof a life coach perspective
where if we have a certainbelief that, no matter what I do
, I am only making this muchmoney, I'm just stuck, that is
(01:57):
actually going to manifest, that's going to make us feel a
certain way.
That belief is going to make usfeel a certain way which is
going to make us take certainactions, create us taking
certain actions or also notdoing certain things in our
business, which then actuallycreates that story.
Also, when our nervous systemis dysregulated, that looks like
(02:20):
being in fight or flight mode.
So a little bit of feelingexcited in our body can be a
good thing.
Right, there are certain timeswhere we want that slightly
elevated nervous system response.
However, when that gets takento an extreme, that can look
like any time you get a messagefrom a customer Sometimes even I
(02:41):
will see this where sometimesit's a good message from a
customer.
Sometimes even I will see this, where sometimes it's a good
message from a customer it'ssomebody saying hey, I want to
sign up with you for thiscontract, and because our
nervous system is sodysregulated that sends us
completely off the charts, running for the hills, right,
that looks like that flight mode, right, where maybe you don't
(03:04):
open that message and respond toit for a week, maybe you go do
other things instead, or maybeyou do open it and you have the
thought or the belief whereyou're like I don't know what to
say, I don't know how torespond to this, and so we can
get into these modes ofself-sabotaging.
Because our nervous system isdysregulated and because we want
(03:27):
to actually avoid all of that,we want to bring it back down
into regulation.
But we get stuck right.
We get stuck in thatdysregulated state and that
makes it so we have a reallyhard time actually coping with
and responding to in a moreintentional, mindful way.
We tend to respond from thatplace of fight or flight or
(03:50):
another nervous system responsethat we can have is freeze.
Freeze is where we've actuallytaken it a whole other step
beyond fight or flight, and weare now stuck.
Freeze or fawn mode is wherethis looks like burnout.
I have experienced extremeburnout myself in my business
(04:13):
and in my life.
I have so many clients who areat one level of burnout or
another.
The burnout that I experiencedwas actually to the level where
my body started to have symptomswhere I literally could not
show up to work.
I was so sick and I felt soterrible.
(04:35):
I was literally at a point inmy business where things in my
business were affecting me sostrongly and probably things in
my personal life as well.
Right, this is usually notisolated to one thing, but I was
so heavily in that burnout modethat I was actually having
physical symptoms that weremaking me slow down.
(04:58):
I physically could not show upand work to the level that I
wanted and that I had beenaccustomed to.
My body was shutting downbecause that was a sign that was
the only way that it knew toget rest.
Now, that is a pretty extremecase.
However, I do know otherentrepreneurs who have
experienced that as well.
(05:18):
Where they go into the shutdown.
They literally are gettingphysically ill, physically sick,
that dis-ease right, because ofhow hard they've pushed
themselves and how far into thatburnout state they are.
However, this can also looklike more mild burnout, where
you're just exhausted all thetime, where the littlest things
(05:41):
in business come up andliterally send you into that
area where you're like I'm done,I'm just done for the day.
Right, I have to unplug.
I have to go do something else.
Done for the day.
Right, I have to unplug, I haveto go do something else.
I just physically cannot makemyself do this, and so what this
looks like when our nervoussystem is dysregulated in these
other states is part of why ourbusiness plateaus, but also our
(06:06):
income gets capped right.
So we do need to regulate ournervous system, and there are
lots of different nervous systemregulation techniques.
There are a lot that I teach myclients and teach the people
that I work with.
Some of them are as easy asjust some breathing practices.
So we can do kundalini, we cando breath work, we can do
(06:27):
meditation, we can do lots ofdifferent things, even just
sometimes standing up from yourdesk taking a sip of water,
getting outside breathing somefresh air.
Those can be things that canstart to regulate our nervous
system, but we have lots ofdifferent strategies and
techniques that we can use on adaily basis to help us regulate
before we get to those places ofthe burnout or the fight or
(06:52):
flight mode.
So that is a really importantthing that I suggest, especially
if you are at a place where youare plateaued start to
introduce some nervous systemregulation techniques into your
daily routine, into your rituals.
If you are interested in divingmore into that, I actually have
a program that is about tostart called R&R Rituals, where
(07:15):
it will be like a monthlymembership.
So definitely reach out to me,come reach out on social media,
at the system seer on Instagram.
I would love to share moreabout.
That is going to be all abouthaving those techniques to
regulate as well as wideningthat window of tolerance,
because a lot of the time, what's happening is people are
(07:37):
really good at actuallyregulating their nervous system.
The problem is their window oftolerance of where they are
regulated is so narrow that theyhave a really hard time being
in that place of regulation.
Now, this is not to say that wewant to even have a goal of
being regulated all the time.
That's just not realistic and, honestly, we want to be a little
(08:01):
bit excited sometimes.
We want to be in thatheightened nervous system state
sometimes just not to theextreme.
So we can work on widening thatwindow of tolerance so that we
are more frequently in thatplace of regulation.
Then we actually don't need todo the regulation techniques
(08:21):
quite as frequently and it canbecome more of a place where you
do some regulation techniquesas an ongoing ritual and then on
an as needed basis.
But it's not like I open mymessages and I have to regulate.
Now I'm going to post socialmedia content and I have to
regulate.
And somebody messaged me and Ihave to regulate.
(08:41):
And I got a text message and Ineed to regulate.
And I need to build thiswebsite and I need to regulate.
Like we're not constantlyregulating.
I'm hopping on to teacher calland I need to regulate.
I have a one-on-one with theclient and I need to regulate.
Right, we can get into thatpattern If our window of
tolerance isn't wide enough.
We can get into that patternwhere we literally every single
(09:03):
thing we do in our businesssends us into one of those other
states of nervous system statusand we have to just constantly
be regulating.
Much better if we can justwiden that and then just stay in
that more regulated place andhave those more emergency
techniques, but it's not aconstant throughout the day.
(09:24):
So that is number one.
Is that nervous system workright?
Number two is having businesssystems, having a structure that
supports you.
Now, when I talk about businesssystems and structure, a lot of
people where their mind goes tois all the strategy that they
have been taught.
(09:44):
And strategy is an amazingthing.
We need strategy for ourbusiness.
We need to learn how we can gopost on social media in a way
that is compelling and bringsclients with us.
Maybe they're interested in theprograms we're putting out,
(10:14):
maybe they're downloading afreemium that we have to offer
Like.
All of that is strategy.
But until we can start to havethe structure and the systems in
place, all of that strategy inthe world is not going to matter
.
And the reason is because thestrategy is just work, work,
work, effort, effort, effort.
And if it's not organized, ifit's not structured, if we don't
(10:38):
have a plan for it and as westart to grow our business, the
reason why I put that magicincome level of about three to
5,000 is I have found so manyentrepreneurs they can get to
that three to five thousanddollar mark Not easily, not
without any effort, but it'smore sustainable to get to that
(11:01):
level without having the systemsand the structure in place.
So, without having those things, we can get to $3,000 to $5,000
pretty easily just by hustlingand working hard.
However, when we get to that$3,000 to $5,000 mark, that
tends to be a place where formost entrepreneurs, most coaches
(11:23):
, most spiritual entrepreneursand creatives, we hit that mark
and we're doing that everysingle month and that's a decent
amount to make every singlemonth, right?
However, when we start to lookat scaling past that, if you
don't have those businesssystems in place to start to
automate some of it, if youdon't have a structure or a
(11:46):
system, could look like youhiring somebody else as well,
hiring team members, to help you.
So if we don't start to havesome of these things in place to
support us, we are doingliterally every single thing in
our business manually.
It's taking a lot of time, butit's also taking a lot, lot, lot
of energy, and that energyexpenditure that is part of what
(12:11):
is tapping our nervous systemright, and this is why this is
all related.
This is why I teach all of thistogether because it's all
interconnected.
We can't do work on one withoutworking on the other.
When we work on them both atthe same time, that is where
that magic happens.
That's where we can push pastthese plateaus.
(12:31):
That's where we can start toscale.
That's where we can take ourbusiness to another level.
When we look at some of thesebusiness systems and the
structure that we want to put inplace, this can look like
organizational systems and Idon't mean like you have to be
somebody who has yourspreadsheets and your planners
(12:52):
and all of that.
That doesn't necessarily needto be what the structure looks
like.
For some people they're goingto love spreadsheets and
planners and time blocking andall the things and that's great.
But if you're somebody who isrunning for the hills, as I am
saying that, that doesn't haveto be what structure looks like.
It can be maybe a flow of yourday structure.
(13:14):
It can be a structure of when Iget into my DMs here is the way
that I like to have theseconversations and the flow that
happens.
It can look like a content plan,so we can look at our strategy
behind the content, which ismore like what we are posting
and the messaging that we have, but how are you making sure that
(13:36):
you are posting on all theplaces that you want to on
social media and maybe doingemail marketing?
How are you keeping all of thatorganized?
How are you making sure thatyour message that you are
putting out there is unified andcohesive and makes sense to the
people who are watching you andis not just scattered all over
the place?
That's an example of astructure that we can put into
(13:59):
place to make sure that ourbusiness makes sense to the
people who are out there, because what we're posting
across all of our differentplatforms and email marketing is
now organized in a certain way.
And again, the organization isup to you of what works for you.
I have things that work for meand I help my clients put in
(14:19):
systems and structure that worksfor them as well.
However, it doesn't have tolook like everybody else's, and
that's kind of the differencewith strategy.
When people teach strategy,it's often this is what worked
for me.
Go do this exact thing and thisis how you do that.
When we talk about structureand systems, we want to make
(14:42):
sure that it's supporting us,that it works the way our brain
works, that it is a system or astructure that is going to be
sustainable for the long haul.
So that could be an example ofa structure that you put in
place is how do you keep yourcontent organized?
How do you make sure thatyou're posting on all the
(15:04):
platforms that you want to anddoing the marketing in all the
places that you want to withthat cohesive message?
How do you repurpose content?
What is the plan for that?
Do you even do that?
If we can get a structure intoplace that could help us stay
more consistent with that, andactually we create one piece of
content and then it getsrepurposed many, many, many
(15:26):
times, that one outlay of timeand energy that we put into
creating that one thing can thenbe magnified right, Because
we're duplicating it and usingit over and over and over again.
That's how we magnify ourlimited resources of energy and
time.
An example of a system a lot ofthe time when I talk to
(15:47):
entrepreneurs and we start todive into what systems they have
, people are often very familiarwith something like I'm going
to say, the word lead magnet.
You know I really don't likethose super market-y terms, but
that's what people are familiarwith Basically a way to get new
people into your world to get toknow you.
Do you have a freemium?
So that's an example of asystem.
(16:10):
Let's say you have a free guidethat you give away.
Do you have a system wherepeople can fill out a form and
get that delivered to themautomatically, where you're not
having to manually send that tothem?
So that could be an example ofa system.
Another system that a lot, lotlot of entrepreneurs are lacking
is a client onboarding system.
(16:31):
When somebody joins yourprogram or joins your one-on-one
container or wants to work withyou, how do you make sure that
they know what resources youhave available?
How do you make sure they knowwhere to book their calls with
you or what time the calls arefor the program that they are
doing?
Is it an evergreen programwhere they need to be able to
(16:53):
log in?
How do they know where to findthat?
So if we are onboarding peoplemanually every single time, that
can be a ton of time and energyexpenditure.
That could be time and energythat we were using somewhere
else instead, and that's anexample of something that is so
easy to create a system for.
(17:13):
Now it could be an automatedsystem, but it also could be a
system where we have a teammember who it's their job to
onboard all of our clients andreach out to them too.
This is where, again, one sizedoes not fit all, and this is
going to look different foreverybody's business, but we can
put some of these more commonsystems in place in a way that
(17:36):
works for you and supports yourbusiness.
So once we're able to regulateour nervous system and we're
able to have in place somestructures and systems for our
business and the two workinghand in hand together, that's
where we're able to come out ofthat survival mode.
We're able to have more timeand energy to keep growing our
(17:57):
business, to keep growingourselves, to maybe take that
course that you wanted to take,to do that certification, to put
all the certifications thatyou've gotten into practice, to
create that new program that hasbeen on your heart for the last
three years that you just havenot had the time and energy to
do.
That's how we do this.
(18:18):
So I want you to start to thinkabout, especially if you're
somebody who is capped at thatthree to 5,000 mark in your
income or you're like I justit's the same people over and
over.
I'm not really growing, I'mjust kind of sustaining.
Let's figure out what we can doto put in place to break through
that plateau.
(18:38):
When we are able to breakthrough those plateaus, when we
are able to regulate our nervoussystem and grow our business
systems and structures, is whenwe can then start to scale our
business.
Scale our time and energy right.
Multiply that time and energy.
Without us actually puttingmore time and energy into those
(18:59):
same things over and over, wecan output our time and energy
into new things that are goingto expand our business.
So when we are able to scale, that's where we finally start to
bust through those income platescale.
That's where we finally startto bust through those income
plateaus.
That's where we finally startto bust through those plateaus
of us just again working withthe same people.
That's where we can start tobust through those patterns of
(19:23):
living in that burnout state offeeling like we need to just
hustle, hustle, hustle harder, and that's where that magic
starts to happen.
So I hope this episode helpedtoday If you are interested in
diving deeper into both thenervous system regulation and
the business systems andstructure, because, like I said,
(19:43):
the two are so intertwined.
When we can do both together iswhere that real magic happens.
That is why I am currently inthe process of creating the
System Seer Playbook.
So this is going to be astep-by-step playbook where you
can go through and learn how toregulate both your nervous
system and build those businesssystems hand-in-hand both at the
(20:07):
same time to support both.
Reach out to me, go on mywebsite, drop me an email, send
me a DM on social media.
I can get you hooked up.
I am having a special pre-saleprice.
Once this thing launches, it'snever, ever, ever going back to
that price again.
So I am super excited and weshould be ready for launch in a

So I hope this helps you somuch.
I cannot wait to hear what themost impactful part of this has
been for you, where you feellike maybe you're the most stuck
or maybe it is the combo of thetwo.
(20:51):
