Julián sale libre de la cárcel y con emoción se reúne con su familia. José tiene en mente un último plan para que Lucía y Javier vuelvan a estar juntos y puedan dejar atrás los malos entendidos. Muy pronto Javier y Lucía volverán a mirar el cielo juntos.
Por fin llega el día destinado para el asalto del banco. Lucía planea también asistir al banco para retirar su dinero. El robo comienza y al intentar escapar, el “Negro” se encuentra de frente con la joven artista, queda paralizado, y es en ese momento dramático que la policía le dispara. Concluye un triste episodio en la vida de Lucía.
Se acerca el día del asalto al banco por parte del “Negro”. José se encuentra con Javier y le insiste en que aprenda a pedir perdón. Lucía se encuentra muy pensativa y está dispuesta a escuchar a Javier y aceptar sus disculpas.
Lucía planea asistir al banco para retirar una gran suma de dinero y empezar a construir su estudio de escultura. Por su parte el “Negro”, planea también dar el golpe al banco para conseguir millones y cumplir su deseo de volver junto a la joven artista.
La policía está cerca de atrapar al “Negro” y sus compañeros en el Barrio de la Niebla. Damián intenta convencer a Lucía de volver con el doctor Javier. La joven artista se encuentra confundida y temerosa, piensa en volver a Europa para continuar con su carrera y encontrarse con el Conde.
Damián le cuenta al doctor Javier sobre Lucía y su temor de encontrar al “Negro” cerca del Barrio de la Niebla. Damián arregla la situación con su novia y busca con esperanza que su hermana vuelva con Javier. Pronto la joven artista tendrá noticias del “Negro”.
Lucía pasa por Damián a la escuela y lo encuentra triste. El joven está pasando una desilusión amorosa y busca al doctor Javier para contarle sus penas. Javier lo escucha y le propone visitar a su novia en el Barrio de la Niebla.
El doctor Javier, nervioso, visita en la cárcel a Julián para disculparse por sus absurdas actitudes. Al día siguiente también Lucía visita a su padre y le da la noticia sobre la nueva propiedad de la familia.
El “Negro” se encuentra perdido en sus pensamientos y espera la hora para asaltar el banco. El maleante sigue obsesionado con Lucía y recuerda sus momentos junto a la joven cuando tenía una vida miserable.
Lucía muestra un nerviosismo incontrolable al ver acercarse el carro de Javier a su casa. Don Ignacio se encuentra con pena y arrepentimiento por la situación de Julián. Susana visita a Lucía para pasar la noche y conversar sobre la vida y el amor.
Damián le cuenta a su hermana su encuentro con el doctor Javier. Lucía está convencida de ir a vivir al campo y olvidar a su esposo. José acompaña a la joven artista a comprar un rancho a las afueras de la ciudad. Lucía recibirá una visita sorpresa.
José intenta convencer a Lucía de los cambios en la actitud de Javier para recuperar su amor. Damián y Javier se encuentran platicando de la vida y del amor. Julián espera una visita que pueda cambiar su destino.
Javier se encuentra desconsolado y no puede dormir. Por la madrugada, Javier visita a su amigo José para pedirle disculpas. Lucía está cada día más segura del fin de su matrimonio y se dispone a trabajar para salir adelante.
Tati se alegra por las noticias de Lucía y su éxito en Europa y busca que el “Negro” pague por sus hechos. Salvador vuelve de visita a casa de Tati y poco a poco el amor los encontrará.
El “Negro” tiene una última esperanza y está decidido a estar con Lucía cueste lo que cueste, su mente está invadida por furia y desesperación. Por su parte Lucía, está lista para vivir su exitoso presente y se prepara para un futuro prometedor. A la joven artista cada día le interesa menos su relación con Javier.
El “Negro” sigue escondido en las cuevas a las afueras de la ciudad, al enterarse del regreso de Lucía, apura su plan de robar el banco para poder recuperar el cariño de la joven artista. El “Negro” también planea estar junto a Lucía, aunque sea contra su voluntad.
Lucía vuelve a México y se reencuentra con Damián. La joven artista sigue muy enojada y prohíbe a su hermano encontrarse con el doctor Javier. Mientras en el sanatorio, Javier y Susana buscan la forma de que el doctor recupere el cariño de su esposa.
Javier ya se encuentra en México e intenta juntarse con su cuñado Damián. El hermano de Lucía le reclama al médico el haber abandonado a Lucía en el momento más difícil. Lucía pasa sus últimas horas en Madrid y en un ambiente de nostalgia, se despide de su amigo el Conde.
Susana y Lucía brindan por el amor. La joven artista está convencida del final de su matrimonio con Javier. El Conde italiano quiere seguir a Lucía en su regreso a México y sigue anhelando ser su esposo. Lucía tiene un presentimiento respecto a la situación de su padre.
