Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey , Robert, it's good to see you
again. Nice to see you. You'vebeen alright .

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Very good. Very good.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Okay. Awesome man.
Alright , well , uh, last timewe talked you're still doing
traffic tickets and things suchas that, right?

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yes, sir. Yes sir.
We, we've been, we've beenhitting the ground hard and ,
uh, we've, we've been , uh,representing the city of El
Paso. Uh, we, we, we encompassall areas of El Paso from the
far east side to the centralsouth, lower valley, upper
Valley, west side. And

Speaker 1 (00:28):
I saw that you have a West side location in El
Paso, traffic ticket from West.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Yes. We, we have , uh, uh, office on the west side
and , uh, that allows eeverybody who lives , uh, west
of, west of, let's saydowntown, downtown area of El
Paso mm-hmm .
Going west towards cant ,Anthony, Texas. We, we handle
all those people on that sideof town as well, so that , um,

(00:53):
they don't have to drive , uh,too far to, if they wanna come
to the office. Okay. They cando that or of course we, we
have , uh, uh, developed asystem so they can do
everything by their phone oronline in case they can't come
to the office. But yes, we havean office on the far west side
now. Cool.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
So you guys fight speeding traffic tickets , um,
as a traffic ticket attorney,I'm sure you do all paper
violations, right?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Oh yeah. We do any kind of paper violations from
speeding to registration to noinsurance to , uh, cops will
give tickets for , uh, brokentaillights, broken headlights.
Um, and really what it is, isthey just wanna pull you over
so they can run yourbackground, run your, run your
records to see if you have anyactive warrants, which is

(01:39):
another very important thing isthat if you have a ticket from
a couple years ago, which a lotof people do mm-hmm
. That theyforgot about, please make sure
you give us a call so that wecan get those warrants removed
and lifted. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
That happened to me one time. So

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah. And, and they will , it's common . They will
arrest you , uh, if, if theyhave , if they see that you
have an active warrant, you canget arrested at that spot. And,
and , uh, that's not, that'sthe most unpleasant thing that
you can go through becausethey'll have your car
impounded. You'll get arrested, you'll be taken to a booking
station and you'll be spendingat least six to 10 hours in

(02:14):
jail. Uh , unless , uh, youknow, unless you're not able to
bond out. I've known peoplethat spent a couple months in
jail for a traffic ticket. Well,

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Lemme ask you a question. Um , once you get a a
warrant for a traffic ticket, can you handle it yourself? Or
do you need to hire a , awarrant lawyer for, or a
traffic ticket lawyer forwarrants? Can they , can I go
take care of that myself Andlike for example, let's say I
got a , a ticket for speedingand I just never did anything.
Can I still go to court andrepresent myself? Or do you

(02:41):
need to hire a lawyer at thatpoint?

Speaker 2 (02:43):
You can, but it's gonna be a lot more expensive
for you because you're gonnahave to pay the entire warren
bond, which is gonna be upwardsof over $250. Mm-hmm
. Uh , you'regoing to have to , um, uh,
there's very specific waysyou're gonna have to go

(03:04):
actually go in person of thecourt. You're gonna have to pay
it, and then , uh, you're gonnahave to request a court date
and then , uh, you're gonnahave to take time from work ,
uh, school , uh, to show up tocourt. And then once you get a
court date, you're gonnaprobably have to be spending ,
uh, several hours waiting incourt for your case. Mm-hmm

(03:27):
. And , uh, youknow, for anybody who's not
familiar with the law, it couldbe very frightening because the
, uh, state of Texas is gonnahave a highly experienced
district attorney that's gonnabe looking for convictions on
you. So you run the risk. It'svery risky , uh, that you will
not only lose all the moneythat you paid for the warrant,

(03:48):
but you'll get a guiltyconviction on your record. But
what I recommend, and thereason why is if you hire me, I
am, I , I , I can get yourwarrants removed and lifted
without you having to pay thatwarrant fee that the city
assesses. We can do that for avery nominal fee. Uh, and you
won't have to worry abouthaving to go down in person,

(04:10):
having to go get a cashier'scheck money order. You don't
have to worry about having acourt date, spending hours of
your time sitting in courtroom.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Yeah. Time is money for sure.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
You don't have to worry about doing any of that.
You don't have to. I don't even, in fact, I don't even want my
clients to go to court. Itwould be nice for my clients to
see me fight in court becausethey have no idea how hard I
fight, but it's better thatthey don't go to court. I can
represent them without the needfor them to be there. And more
times than not, once I get ,uh, that case, I will get it

(04:43):
dismissed and they won't haveto pay the warrant fee. They
won't have to worry aboutgetting arrested, and they
won't have to worry abouthaving a guilty conviction on
the record by hiring me.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Oh, that's great.
That's, that's prettyconvenient. And so even though
you make one mistake, you cantake care of it by hiring you
to go to court and fight thoseviolations.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Yes. Yes. And, and , and , and , and you don't have
to spend , uh, a significantamount of money. Uh, we, we try
. We're very reasonable , uh,very affordable. You don't have
to pay the $250 warrant feethat the city's gonna want. And
that's for each warrant. I'veseen cities wanting to collect
over a thousand dollars onpeople that have multiple
warrants. You don't have toworry about paying that. Uh,

(05:23):
we, we, you , all you need todo is either make a phone call,
try to hire me online. We look,we look at your history to find
out where you have warrants. Wefile the appropriate paperwork
to, to the court, let him knowthat I'm representing you to
have no further communicationswith my client to remove the
warrant. I'll get a judge tosign an order that lifts that

(05:44):
warrant, so automatically youcan breathe a sigh of relief so
that you don't have to worryabout a police officer knocking
on your door wanting to arrestyou or going to your place of
business and having theembarrassment of putting
handcuffs on you in front ofeverybody and taking you out.
You wanna avoid that at all, atall costs. And so my best

(06:04):
recommendation is to you is ifyou have a warrant, please call
us right away. We can generallyget your warrant removed
within, within a matter of ,uh, day to three days.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
That's a pretty quick turnaround time.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
And , and it's very importantwe do that as quickly as
possible because , uh, therecops are out there everywhere
in the city and they're lookingfor people that have warrants
because it's a tremendousrevenue income stream for the
city. Uh, you know, it's, it'sa big business for them to
arrest people to assess warrantfees, to lock you up. That's,

(06:37):
that's , uh, that's anincentive for them. And, and
it's unfair and it , and it'snot right, especially for
people who are on low incomethat can't afford to pay the
warrant fee mm-hmm . Uh, and we give
you the opportunity to not haveto go through that ordeal of
having you spent time in jail.
We will get that warrant liftedfor you at a very low cost to

(06:57):
you.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
That's pretty good.
Um, so, you know, you're aticket attorney here in El
Paso, Texas, and I'm sureyou've seen all sorts of cases
and things like that. Um, is ithard to just , uh, dismiss a
traffic ticket as an attorney?
I'm sure you have to have someexpertise, but like, 'cause I,
I noticed your reviews online, you know, you guys have almost

(07:20):
a 5.0 score, which is almostperfect. And like, what, what
makes you a better, like, there's other lawyers, right?
That, like you have competitorsand things like that. Like is
there something that you dothat gives you such a high
rating and such a highdismissal rate?

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Yeah, it , and , and it , it comes down to
preparation. I think more thananything. One of the things
that I pride myself from all ofmy other colleagues is I will
review your case personally andbeforehand instead of right at
the time of court, so that Ialready have an idea of what
the problems that I see in thecase are. Uh, you know, the

(07:55):
police officers, the districtattorney, they're human beings
just like all of us, and theymake mistakes. And my , um, my
, uh, focus is on looking forthose mistakes and pointing
them out. And that's the bestway to get a ticket dismissed.
I've gone through a lot ofexperience in having , uh, been
involved in certain issues withregards to the filing of the

(08:18):
formal complaint, which is thecharges being brought by you.
There's certain requirementsthat have to be met. And I look
for deficiencies and problemsin those charging complaints
Gotcha . That other lawyers maymiss. And I know that through
my experience, through researchof case law, and I find those
problems issues all the time.

(08:38):
And then the other thing I'vecome across is I'll , I'll come
across with officers who arethere to testify in , in the
case, and it turns out that ,uh, through their testimony,
they , um, they didn't , uh,they didn't charge the correct
offense. And I will find a wayto get those cases dismissed as
well, if for not charging theperson with the correct

(08:59):
offense, basically throughtalking with the police
officer. Because most, most ofthe time, unfortunately, the
police officers do lie, they domake mistakes. And I, I am an
expert at finding out thoselies. Mm-hmm .
And I know which officers tochallenge on , on, on what,
what their , uh, uh, claiminghappened. And , uh, because
I've been doing this for a verylong time and I've seen

(09:20):
everything from , uh, lyingofficers to , uh, DA's , uh,
misrepresenting what the actualcharges should be. And if you
don't have an somebodyexperienced like I am , uh,
you're gonna miss that. Andthen what's gonna happen is
you're gonna have that guiltyconviction on your record.
You're gonna have to paytremendous amount of court

(09:40):
costs , fines , uh, and then, and then once you have , uh, a
record, you're gonna have to ,uh, deal with problems whenever
you try to , uh, apply for anytype of government position ,
uh, any type of governmentposition's. Not gonna want hire
somebody that has a traffic ,uh, criminal history on their
record, or anybody thatrequires you to do driving for

(10:01):
a living. They're, they're notgonna , uh, they're not gonna
wanna take any liability andrisk by hiring somebody who has
a record. So it's veryimportant that you hire an
experienced lawyer to keep yourrecord clean and , uh, to fight
the police , uh, and to , uh,do everything that they can to
make sure that your case getsdismissed. Cool . And that is

(10:22):
what I do.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Just going through your site , it looks like you
guys do occupational driver'slicenses as well too. Can you
kind of expound on that alittle bit? Just kind of what,
what that is and what theprocess is to get that? Um,
yeah , if I'm a customer, youknow , a client of yours
looking to get that ,

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Basically it's, it's a situation where anybody who
had at one point a , uh,typically most people have what
we call class C driver'slicenses. That's where, you
know, when you went to driver'sed when you were young or you
took , uh, you took a test atthe Department of Public
Transportation and you passed, and , uh, they give you your
license. Well, there's certainsituations that can come about

(11:00):
later in life that the state ofTexas can actually suspend your
license or evoke it. Uh, andit's either because of traffic
tickets or because you werecharged with a serious criminal
offense like driving whileintoxicated or driving without
financial responsibility. Whatwe commonly know as insurance,
the state of Texas will suspendyour license. And that's

(11:22):
happened quite often. And whathappens once you get your
license suspended, you're notlegally allowed to drive
anywhere in the city for anyreason. And so what we do is we
give people an opportunity tobe legal, to drive their
vehicle for purposes of work, for purposes of school, for
purposes of medical necessity.
If you've got a loved one who'ssick, you need to take him to

(11:44):
the doctor , uh, for treatment.
You can be legal. You don'thave to worry about getting
pulled over and being arrestedfor driving with a suspended
license. We give you thatopportunity to get what's
called a occupational license, which is kind of like a
temporary license that allowsyou to drive legally it's good
for up to two years. We can getit longer if you need more
time. Some people, you know,it's gonna take 'em time to ,

(12:07):
uh, get their , uh, licensesituated because of , uh,
traffic tickets orreinstatement fees that they
owe. Those costs can be veryhigh. And so what we do is, in
the meantime, while you'retrying to work out to get your
license back, we can give you away to quickly, with low cost
to you to be able to drivelegally on the street. And we
can generally get you a licensewithin a matter of a few days.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
That's awesome

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Concern .

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Yeah . That's pretty cool. So, so you do these
speeding tickets and stuff likethat. What happens if I get a,
a traffic violation and I justdecide, I just put it in my
glove box and just forget aboutit?

Speaker 2 (12:44):
That's, you know, unfortunately that's pretty
common. You know, we, we have,we all have very busy lies.
We've got personal issues thatwe're dealing with , uh, stress
related .

Speaker 1 (12:53):
What what will happen though? Like, what are
the consequences?

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Well, if you forget about it, which is common,
which happens , uh, after, after, typically after 30 days,
the court will , uh, issuewhat's called a , uh, warrant
because whenever you sign thatticket, you promise to appear ,
uh, usually within 20 days toanswer your citation, whether
you're gonna plead guilty to itor not. Guilty. If you fail to

(13:18):
do that within those 20 daysafter you got the ticket , uh,
they'll issue what's called aviolate . You violated your
promise to appear in court.
That's what happens when theofficer asks you to sign the
ticket. And so that warrantgets generated. And what that
does is that it's a basically apiece of paper that says that ,
uh, at any time you can bearrested , uh, you're subject

(13:40):
to arrest. And what will happenis if you in a car and you've
got this active warrant, they'll, they'll pull you over
and they, they'll run your, they'll run your information,
they'll see you have an activewarrant, they'll, more than
likely you'll get arrestedright there. Hmm . Or you'll
get arrested at your home,

Speaker 1 (13:54):
But you can help with those too . Right.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
We can help with those. It , it , it's important
that you call us so that youcan avoid paying all the
warrant fees and having to gothrough the embarrassment of
getting arrested. You give us acall, we can get those warrants
removed for you at a very lowcost, and we can get those
warrants lifted for you withina matter of a few days.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
That's amazing.
Well, that's cool. Well, it'sgood to see that you got
another location convenientlylocated on the west side. So
anybody that needs a trafficticket lawyer near them, and
you live in that part of town, they can just hop to your
office , um, hire , call you orhire online. Is that correct?

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Yes, yes. You know, we, we, we have offices , uh,
throughout El Paso, so , uh, wemake it very accessible to
anybody what , depending onwhat area of town you live on.
But yes, most definitely thefar West side. Anthony Cillo ,
uh, SU Park area. Uh, if, ifyou have a ticket and you're in
that area, you live in thatarea, we have an office very

(14:49):
close to you.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Cool. And so Paso traffic ticket from West, you

9 9 1 2. Um, and let's see whatyour guys' phone number is
gonna be. (915) 200-1133.

(15:12):
you guys have a 5.0. It'sperfect.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Yes, we've,

Speaker 1 (15:15):
That's pretty impressive.

Speaker 2 (15:16):

representing , uh, the city ofEl Paso for several years now,
and we've been able toestablish a reputation , uh, a
good reputation for fighting, fighting these traffic tickets.
And that's, that's what, that'swhat we're here to do.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
That's amazing.
Okay. Well, Robert, thank you.
It's good to see you again.
Thank you. Alright ,

Speaker 2 (15:34):
