Fighting Traffic Tickets in El Paso: The Role of a Traffic Ticket Lawyer

In bustling El Paso, where the sun shines brightly over busy streets, the likelihood of receiving a traffic ticket is a reality many drivers face. Whether it's for speeding, running a red light, or failing to yield, traffic violations can lead to hefty fines, increased insurance premiums, and even points on a driver’s license. For those looking to contest these tickets, a traffic ticket lawyer can be an invaluable ally.

The Importance of a Traffic Ticket Lawyer

A specialized traffic ticket lawyer in El Paso understands the nuances of local laws and the legal processes involved in contesting a ticket. Here’s how they can assist:

  1. Expert Guidance: Traffic laws can vary significantly from one jurisdiction to another. A lawyer with experience in El Paso traffic cases will have an in-depth understanding of local regulations and procedures. They can guide clients through the legal maze, ensuring they know their rights and options.
  2. Case Evaluation: A traffic ticket lawyer will analyze the details of the case, including the circumstances of the violation and the evidence presented. They can identify potential defenses, such as improper signage, lack of clear visibility, or procedural errors made by law enforcement.
  3. Representation in Court: If a case goes to court, having a lawyer is crucial. They can present a strong defense, cross-examine witnesses, and argue on behalf of their clients. Their familiarity with the court system can make a significant difference in the outcome.

Finding the Right Traffic Ticket Lawyer in El Paso

When seeking legal representation for a traffic ticket, it’s essential to choose a lawyer with a strong track record in traffic cases. Prospective clients should look for:

  • Experience: A lawyer who has successfully handled traffic ticket cases in El Paso.
  • Client Reviews: Testimonials and reviews from former clients can provide insight into a lawyer’s effectiveness and approach.

Conclusion

Receiving a traffic ticket in El Paso can be frustrating, but it doesn't have to be the end of the road. A dedicated traffic ticket lawyer can help drivers navigate the complexities of traffic law, fight for their rights, and work towards the best possible outcome. By understanding the importance of legal representation, drivers can make informed decisions and protect their driving records and wallets from the repercussions of traffic violations.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right . Hey, Robert. How's it going, man?
Good,

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Good. How are you?

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good. Good to see you again. Good to thank

Speaker 2 (00:05):
You. Likewise. Thank you.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Alright , man. So how's everything going in the
traffic ticket world in ElPaso?

Speaker 2 (00:10):
It's good. You know , uh, we have , uh, uh,
fortunately, we're fortunate to, uh, have the trust of a lot
of clients. Uh, the city of ElPaso, it comes to us because ,
uh, there's a lot of cops outthere that they, they like to
give tickets, they like to pullpeople over for any little
reason. Um, so , uh, it's, it'sbeen, it's been good. Uh, you

(00:33):
know, we , we've been blessedand we have a good support team
and we , uh, uh, valueourselves on customer service
and providing the best for ourclients. The best legal
representation I've been doingthis for , uh, over 20 years.
Uh , and so , uh, I'm , I feellike , uh, I've , uh, mastered
, uh, the defenses for traffictickets here in El Paso. And ,

(00:57):
um, and , uh, every day Istrive to continue , uh,
maintaining , uh, focus on justrepresenting my clients to the
best of my abilities. And sofar I've been , uh, fortunate
enough to do that. So I'm veryblessed.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yeah. We did this podcast before about a year
ago. And so El Paso TrafficTicket Firm, you know , um, you
guys have a pretty highdismissal rate. I've seen your
reviews just shoot up the, thecharts, lot of five star
reviews. Do you do anythingdifferent than the other
lawyers to get dismissals?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
You know, I think it's, it's the dedication that
I put towards , uh,representing my clients in this
area and field. What I'venoticed in my colleagues is
that they , uh, that's nottheir priority. They, they take
on other types of cases. Theytake on , uh, civil cases,

(01:50):
family law cases. Yeah. Uh ,they have a wide spectrum of
case that they deal with. Andso they don't allocate and
dedicate the time that I takebecause representing clients on
traffic tickets is my numberone sole priority in my
profession. That's all that Ifocus on doing. I focus on all
the case law. I focus on , uh,the , um, attention to detail

(02:14):
that it takes, reviewing thesecomplaints. Mm-Hmm .
reviewing , uh,the officer's citations. I
spent a great deal of time justfocusing on that because that's
my pa passion. That's what Ilove to do. And , um, and , uh,
I would , uh, you know, I , Iwould think that I probably am
, uh, one of the very best atrepresenting , uh, the citizens

(02:38):
of El Paso. Uh , bothcolleagues and judges have ,
uh, looked to me for guidanceand, and how, how I , uh, go
about representing clients and,and , um, and so I, I , um,
feel very blessed and fortunatethat I'm in the position that
I'm in where I can dedicate100% of my time on my clients

(03:00):
for traffic tickets.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Right. And you know, last time we talked , um, now
you have two locations. So ifsomebody's trying to find a
traffic ti ticket lawyer nearthem, you're pretty much
conveniently co locatedthroughout the whole city now,
right?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Oh, yes. We, we encompass the entire , uh, city
of El Paso. That includes fromthe very far west side, which
is Vinton , Cillo area , uh,Anthony, Texas , uh, all the
way to , uh, horizon, the fareast side, the horizon area,
Clint. Uh, we, we have, have abroad spectrum of coverage for

(03:37):
all the El Paso , uh, citizens.
They can go to either one ofour offices and we've, we've
made the transition to , uh,provide services so that the
clients don't have tonecessarily go in person to get
the representation they can.
Mm-Hmm . doeverything online now. We have
, um, we have apps. They can, they can scan a little , uh, a

(04:02):
little barcode, the QR code, scanner, QR code on their phone
so that it takes 'em directlyto , uh, our website where they
can go ahead and read up someinformation about our services,
what we provide. They can giveus our , the information. They
can do it all online. Theydon't have to make a phone
call. They don't have to comein person. We've made it very,

(04:23):
very easy for , uh, anybody whoreceives a traffic ticket to
get like legal representationas soon as possible. Because
the worst thing that you can dois get a traffic ticket and
just not do anything about it,because then you run into other
problems when, when thathappens. And , uh, so yeah,

Speaker 1 (04:42):
They get like a warrant

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Or something, they'll get a warrant, they'll
give the police , can you helpa to arrest ? Can you help them
with a warrant? Absolutely. If, if, if for whatever reason,
you know, I , I understand, youknow, we all have , um, busy
lives and sometimes , uh, itmay not be our PR priority to
deal with it right away. And so, uh, I understand that that
does happen at times where weforget about it and then we

(05:04):
start getting notices in themail, threatening with a
warrant , uh, threatening tocome to your place of business
or your home to arrest you.
You'd never want that situationto happen. Uh, and so , uh, we
, um, we definitely can help ifanybody has a warrant, it's
very important that they callus as soon as possible so that

(05:26):
we can get those warrantslifted so that you don't have
to worry the next time thatyou're driving down the road
and you see a cop car behindyou. And you don't have to have
that panic, that fear that, oh,great, is he gonna run my
license plate and find out thatI have an active warrant and
pull me over, and then I'mgonna have to get my car towed.
It's gonna be at the impound.
I'm gonna have to pay hundredsof dollars to get my car out,

(05:48):
plus I'm gonna go to jail. I'mgonna get arrested, I'm gonna
get booked. Fingerprinted. Uh,that's, that's a , a mess that
you just do not want to findyourself into. So in order to
avoid all those problems, it'svery important that , uh, you
reach out to us so that we canhelp you and get those warrants
lifted, get your casedismissed, and so that this

(06:10):
doesn't become a problem foryou later on. So

Speaker 1 (06:14):
I know you're a traffic ticket attorney and you
do mostly speeding tickets ,uh, no insurance, no
registration, all types ofmoving violations. Is there any
other, like , uh, 'cause I knowthat's a class C dis
misdemeanor. Do you do otherclass C misdemeanors?

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Oh , absolutely. We do all kinds of , uh, there's ,
uh, you know , uh, what , whatnow is very common is , uh,
drug paraphernalia. Mm-Hmm, , uh, where,
where the officer will pull youover and he'll, he'll claim
that he smelled , uh, marijuanaresidue in the vehicle. Or
sometimes he'll ask you if theycan search your vehicle. And ,

(06:51):
uh, my advice is always don'tlet them search , um, unless
they have a warrant or probablecause. But sometimes , uh,
unfortunately , uh, you know, people don't know that. And so
they give 'em permission tosearch and then they come
across, let's say , uh, uh,some sort of a vape pen device
used to smoke marijuana, or ithas some residue in there.

(07:11):
They'll actually , uh, they cantechnically arrest you, but
what they're usually doing nowis they're issuing a Class C ,
uh, or a class C citation forpossession of drug
paraphernalia. And , uh, thosecould be very serious. And it's
very important that you , uh,contact a lawyer. Uh, hopefully

(07:33):
it's me, because you don't wanta drug paraphernalia on your
record. 'cause if you go tocourt and you try to handle it
yourself, most likely it'sgonna be you're gonna have a
conviction and then it's gonna, uh, cause a hindrance. If you
wanna apply for, let's say agovernment position that yeah ,

(07:53):
that you have that , uh, onyour record, they may not , uh,
give you a position. And sothat could be very detrimental
to your future. We also handleopen containers. People , uh,
sometimes will , you know, bedrinking an alcoholic beverage
while they're , uh, operating amotor vehicle and they're not
supposed to. And , um, and whatwill happen is the officer will

(08:15):
claim that they smelled alcoholin their breath. They'll see an
open beer can, or let's say,let's say a , a water bottle
that has alcohol in it, or forwhatever reason, they'll ,
they'll , uh, they will giveyou a citation for possession
of an open container, which isalso,

Speaker 1 (08:33):
And you guys fight those viol , those citations as
well.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Right. And those dismissed , those are very
important that you fight thosebecause if you have that on
your record, any type of jobthat requires you to do any
kind of driving , uh, youremployer may not wanna hire you
if you have , uh, a convictionfor a open container in your
vehicle because they don'twanna run that risk of having
liability for an employee thathas already have a history of

(08:58):
alcohol in their vehicle. Thatcould be very serious and , and
that could prevent you fromgetting a , a well paying job.
And so I do my best to fightthose and get those off my
client's records so that itdoesn't affect their potential
future employmentopportunities.
