Operación Sonrisas
Cada tres minutos nace un niño con labio o paladar hendido. Cada tres minutos. La estadística es altísima, y hasta que no te toca un caso cercano, es que empiezas a dimensionar las estadísticas y a entender el impacto que tiene en la vida de los niños, especialmente cuando la familia no tiene los recursos para atenderlos de manera segura y oportuna.
Operation Smile es sin duda la luz, la guía y la esperanza de miles de niños al rededor del mundo que necesitan una cirugía. Más de 300,00 pacientes han sido atendidos y sus vidas han cambiado para siempre.
En México, Operation Smile inicia en Guadalajara. Nuestro querido Jalisco como siempre, abriendo las puertas y el corazón, siempre solidario, siempre sirviendo.
Operación sonrisa no solo opera de una manera hermosa y generosa, sumando a especialistas, doctores, voluntarios, hospitales … cada quien poniendo lo que hace y lo que tiene al servicio de los demás, sino que también acompaña a los pacientes y a sus familias de manera integral para que puedan completar su tratamiento a largo plazo.
Fue un gusto platicar con Mauricio su director, un chavo súper echado para adelante, comprometido con la causa y un apasionado de lo que hace.
Este episodio me pareció increíblemente esperanzador, porque es esta ayuda rápida e inmediata que cambia vidas y que literalmente, en solo 45 minutos, les regala una sonrisa a sus pacientes.
