Speaker 3 (01:46):
Hi, it's nice to have you.
Welcome to the Electric SpiritPodcast.
Hi, jamie, thank you for havingme.
Yeah, definitely.
I'm glad you're here, and Idon't know if you just want to
tell the audience just a littlebit about yourself.
I know I introduced you, but Idon't know if you have anything
else to add or yeah, I'm just.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
You know, I've been practicing in the healing arts
for the last seven years, but asa facilitator, but exploring my
spirituality for more, muchlonger than that and I'm trying
to bring now it's my focus touse ancestral wisdom.
I'm very close to my Filipinoheritage but I was raised as a

(02:27):
Filipino American, so thisdichotomy of being raised in
American culture with the rootsof my parents at home of the
Philippines, know bridging thatgap and helping other I call
generational cycle breakers nowof this generation, regardless

(02:48):
of where your, you know, ancestors are from kind of
helping us all tap in.
That's really cool.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
I love that.
I think that's really important.
Can you describe yourtransformative experience in
Bali and how learning thesewellness modalities impacted
your personal journey?

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Yeah, I mean I'll trace the year before I moved to
Bali.
You know, bali is a place thatI find myself coming to back to
every year.
But before that and before Igot into all the healing
modalities, that was when I justleft my life in New York of
very high pace.
I worked in luxury, fashion andadvertising.

(03:31):
Go, go go, if you told me Iwould be meditating like 10
years ago.
I'm like Jamie, that's not mypersonality, that's not my
mindset, I'm just going at thespeed of light.
So when I got to Bali and Inever thought I would live like,
be very islandy in this place, but there is just so much access

(03:51):
to all these healing modalitiesand practices and I think I had
left the time in my life whereI was ready for it and so to
have it just around, not onlyyou know New York back then in
New York was just yoga classesand yoga classes about other
modalities, have the opportunityfinancially to see healers and

(04:29):
take classes and everything.
I just learned that, wow, mynervous system was shocked
before I came and I thought thatwas just how I normally
operated, like I thought it wasjust a norm to be always amped
up and, have you know, haveanxiety in my life.
I equated that to to beinggoal-driven, um, and obviously

(04:51):
now realizing you know thatwasn't serving me oh my goodness
, wow, what a change oflifestyle so you like yeah,
right yeah, would you ever goback to New York in the fashion
world?
I'm just curious If someone gaveyou an opportunity?
Probably not.
I went to New York a year ago,you know, and while I loved it,

(05:15):
I realized, like that energy, itjust is not me anymore.
And it was very triggering anda lot of and in even the fashion
, when I left fashion corporatein a bigger conglomerate it was.
I didn't find purpose in that.
I wasn't helping the world onefashion handbag at a time.
And, you know, although I stilllove fashion and I look more to

(05:39):
ethical, sustainable brands andI love seeing like supporting
independent, especiallyespecially small um artists,
females are.
It's great, I don't know.
I'm trying to get myself backto back that way.
Right, exactly.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Right.
I kind of figured you'd sayback to Bali, because that's a.
I can imagine it was a lot, youknow, after a while it was
probably like maybe you, justyour soul, evolved and you just
didn't want to, you didn'tresonate with it anymore.
You know that and maybe evenevolving.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
It was like coming back home to myself, like the
real soul.
Oh yeah, you know, we put onall these layers or conditioning
of what we thought we want andthe achievements or what was
make my pursuit of happiness andI'm like, oh no, that that's
not true happiness or what Ithought was.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Right, I know a lot of people are caught up in that.
I guess you could call it therat race, right?
And I think when they slow downand kind of think it's like why
am I doing this, you know tothink it's like why am I doing
this?
You know it's.
Yeah, exactly interesting.
Yeah, so you're a reiki masterteacher right in a breath work
and sound healer, yeah, and howdo you integrate the various

(06:54):
healing modalities you'velearned into your practice?

Speaker 4 (06:58):
yes, so, um, all three, as you know, learn more
and more like.
There's another training I wantto take, because just so many
different you can't say like, atthe end it's all the same at
the end it's allowing the lifeforce, energy, this universal
consciousness that connects usall, this unconditional loving
energy, to flow properly throughus, regardless of the

(07:19):
modalities.
Right, but yeah, in my ownpractice, you know, I'm using,
or when I'm with clients andothers, it's kind of a fusion,
because now, with freaky was mygateway, but all of it allows me
to really tap into my intuitionand allow spirit or in like
transmissions to be channeled.

(07:39):
So when I'm working with other, with whether it's people,
groups, you know, an onlinegroup or in person, I'm so an
open channel at this pointbecause I'm over the years, have
tapped into who I am, but noteven me, not ego right Of like
the universe or the spiritthat's trying to guide us, so

(08:02):
pulling on the differentmodalities of what I think that
person or the spirit that'strying to guide us, so pulling
on the different modalities ofwhat I think that person or the
group needs at that time andallowing it to just kind of fuse
.
So usually, though, if it'sbreathwork.
It's breathwork because I loveguiding people through that and
maybe I will give a littleenergy healing through to help
move the energy or ground at theend, and then a little bit of

(08:24):
sound bowls at the end to helpground or like tune in.
But I also like working when ifit's just Reiki, reiki, sound
bath, sound bath, breathwork, breathwork, maybe if there's a
fusion.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Wow, that's nice.
And then when?
If someone goes to your websitelike what, what kind of session
could they book with you?

Speaker 4 (08:44):
Yeah, so it is kind of you can.
You can book the three separateones.
A breathwork, that full hourdedicated purely because of
breathwork journey with me, isempowering that person to be
their own healer and it's, it'sa, it's a 30 minute, like you're
breathing in a specific 30minutes to allow.
Yeah, life force, energy to flowto you and go through this

(09:06):
journey and experience.
And then, or if you want, Ialways say do you want to do the
work, cause you'll be betterfor it on the other side.
So that's breath work you wantme to do and would you just like
to receive which is more forpeople who want, who just need
to feel lighter.
They need them to breath work.
If you've done a breath work,it's, it's, it's.

(09:29):
But some people are just likeit's just, they're just heavy.
They've gone through grief, they've gone through stress and
they don't have it with them towork.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
They just want to feel lighter yeah, definitely do
you do anything virtually?

Speaker 4 (09:42):
so, especially since pandemic.
Like all of us, I'm sure withyou, we had to move on, and
before that I hadn't practicedmuch virtual, because I love in
person.
Yeah, y'all had to get onlineand then I was meeting people
through word of mouth all overthe world that needed healing.
So, and you know, energy knowsno time or space.

(10:02):
You can, whether you're inGreece, bali, new York, I'm here
in California, and whetheryou're in Greece, bali, new York
, I'm here in California.
It's all with the intention andset that you're going to feel
something over there while I'mhelping move energy from over
here.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Oh yeah, definitely I agree with that.
So that's good.
So that's good to know you doit virtually in case the
listeners want to book a sessionwith you, so that's great.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
The majority of my clients are virtual-sensitive.
They're all global, oh nice.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
That's great, wonderful.
And how did embracing wellnessand mindfulness help you
reconnect with your true self, and what specific practices were
most influential of thistransformation?

Speaker 4 (10:45):
I will say, like I was saying so, reiki was my
gateway into this.
When I I learned Reikiselfishly, just for myself,
cause I in Bali I was actuallyit was at a breathwork workshop
and I was shaking and vibratingand that happens to me after
sound baths, and someone puttheir hands on me too and my
body and my nervous system justinstantly went and just grounded

(11:08):
.
I'm like I need to learn that.
If I can learn that with justmy hands, you know to do it to
calm myself down at any time.
So when I got finished Reikilevel one training, which is
just over a weekend, it wasfairly really simple that I
didn't know how accessible itwas to someone that wasn't
trying to be a practitioner orjust use it for their own you

(11:33):
know well-being.
But I was very dedicated and Iwas giving myself Reiki morning
and night.
I was practicing on my dog, onmy partner, on my friend's
babies, but especially with me.
What it did was help me.
Yes, it gave me a tool to learnto channel life force, energy
and clear any blockages.

(11:53):
Yeah, but it's like when haveyou just laid there with
yourself At that time I was sodisconnected to myself Just lay
there and felt, felt your heartJust and breathe, and in silence
, and try to understand theenergy moving within you and and
after, doing like a month ofthat, day in and day out you

(12:14):
know 21 days creates a habitthat, in the 90 days, creates a
life, makes it part of yourlifestyle, that it just became
me.
I, I like, lived and breathed, channeling this life force,
energy, through to me and I,just over the years my friends
have noticed I've just become acalmer or I'm like the person
they want to be around when theyneed to calm down and ground

(12:34):
down.
They like, oh, they're like, can we meet up in person or can
I just talk to you on the phone?

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Oh, that's really special.
Wow, that's amazing.
We need that nowadays.
Yeah, with everything going on,and can you elaborate on
intergenerational and ancestralhealing and trauma?

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Yeah, so I kind of alluded to that in the beginning
, but I love working withpeople's ancestors, if you, you
know, for those of you listeningif you still aren't I'm sure
those listening to your podcastdo, though but if you don't sign
on, the whole thing of spiritguides, spirit animals, guardian

(13:14):
angels we all have ancestors.
At least we all have ancestorsthat came before us.
They live within our DNA, theylive within our blood cells, and
all we need to do is tap intothat wisdom and guidance that
they're just waiting on thesidelines to give us wisdom and
guidance.
And then also and this is likeeven saying intergenerational

(13:36):
trauma, whether it's ancestorsfrom thousand years ago or just
our grandparents, ourgreat-grandparents, they all
went through something and eventhey, whatever little t big t
traumas, they all went throughsomething and unfortunately,
even those traumas were passeddown to us.
They just translate and morphinto different things every

(13:58):
generation.
But then some of the thingsthat we're dealing with, whether
it's like limiting beliefs, maybe it's an addiction or
something that wasn't, becauseit was a trauma that happened to
us in childhood.
It might be something that wasjust passed on, inherited.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Oh, I see, oh interesting.
Wow, it is interesting to thinkabout.
When you just said that it'slike I know this, like we're,
you know we have traits of, likeour.
You know, I never met my greatgrandparents but we have, you
know, dna of them and it's justreally, I mean there's got to be
something more to this lifebecause, you know, I have a

(14:35):
friend that's an atheist, likeshe doesn't believe there's
anything after this, and wedon't really talk about it.
Um, as a matter of fact, I nevertold her I was psychic either,
because, um, I don't know howshe would take it, but we are
good friends, but I just tellher, I just do the life coaching
part of it, never bringanything else up, but it's
interesting, you know, when youthink about it, there's got to

(14:56):
be more to this.
If you know we're, you know wehave the DNA, I mean it can't
just be like this is the end.
You know what I?
I mean we're, we still havethose people that passed on that
are a part of us.
It's amazing, yes, so I meaninteresting to think of.

Speaker 4 (15:14):
Like um say you know, I led somebody through an
ancestral healing journey.
Right, yeah, they saw or theyrealized, you know I'm just
giving an example the women, thewomen in your family line,
years and centuries ago, whenwomen were really told to like,
not speak, and maybe they thisis an example Maybe one of them

(15:36):
had her tongue cut out, right.
But then what happens is herdaughter saw that.
She never spoke up, she neverused her voice, she was too
scared.
Her daughter saw her mom neverspeak up, so she never spoke up,
down, down, down.
And now you, let's say you, oryour, your cousins, are like I,
I'm, I don't know, I'm just,yeah, I don't even want to on

(15:58):
social media, I don't, I don'tknow why, I don't want to share
my opinion, and but I know it'simportant.
So then you take it uponyourself, you're like, no, this
is something is important and Iam going to share because my
truth matters and it can impactpeople.
Right, I'm giving an example.
Now you're breaking the cycle.
You have just broke that cycle.

(16:20):
You have helped heal yourlineage, like seven generations
back, and now you're paving theway for the legacy you want to
leave forward, for the sevengenerations forward.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
Wow, that is so cool.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
That's really interesting In our lifetime.
To help heal like our lineageIn our lifetime.
To help heal like our lineage.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
Yeah, wow, that's remarkable.
I love that, wow, and can youshare more about your upbringing
?
You grew up in San Diego, Ithink you mentioned, and how
your parents' immigrantbackground from the Philippines
influenced your ambitions andvalues.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Yes, so, yeah, I grew up in San Diego and I'm still
here in California, born andraised, and with them they both
immigrated on their own.
So they met here, they gotmatchmade by a common friend.
But they didn't meet in thePhilippines, but they both came.
My dad came when he was 17through the US Navy, so we're a

(17:19):
naval family.
My mom, the Filipinos, are inthe like medical industry and
they both came.
They were the only siblings intheir families that I mean I
have huge family in thePhilippines, but they came to
create a better life forthemselves and the future
children that they didn't knowthey were going to have yet.
And so with that, that mix ofbeing raised in American Western

(17:44):
culture but with very, verydeep rooted traditional Filipino
, heavy Catholic, very strongCatholic, very strict
conservative, very strictconservative so a lot of things
that we were taught then.

(18:04):
You know, it was a lot clashingfor me, because then I had
friends from all different, various backgrounds that were
raised you know, from differentfamilies and stuff, especially
not, you know, conservative orstrict.
So it was a really interestingconflict.
But so their whole thing wasthey came to have like it's the
American dream.
Especially coming in the 70s,80s, it was like, yeah, american

(18:24):
dream right.
Like yeah, hence you, your kids, go to college and then they're
going to like be successful, sobeing, you know, studious and
getting good grades, going to agood college, getting a good job
, that was, that was just thepath and that was really, really
ingrained in me.
I see?

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Wow, that's wonderful .
And how'd you end up in NewYork?

Speaker 4 (18:49):
So I, for whatever, for whatever reason, I was
always attracted to New York.
Even when I was younger, I'dnever gone to New York, maybe I
was just seeing it on TV.
So I think it attests topeople's personalities and how
environments attract them.
I know, like, why San Diego isso chill and laid back.
People who, born and raisedthey, never leave because we

(19:11):
have like America's finestweather.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
Right, no.
And the moment I stepped out inNew York, like my parents, let
me go, as in high school, tomeet my cousin, I instantly I
knew, like all the things I hadthought about New York.
I knew, like I felt so alive, wow, being there.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
That's interesting.
But that was.
You know, I wanted to.
I loved fashion, I waspassionate about it.
So my only way in my head whenI was younger, thinking I can
show my parents I could besuccessful that route is to
climb the corporate ladder in a,you know, I worked for a big
luxury name brand, so that madethem proud.
Like, see, all these thingsthat I thought would make them
proud.

(19:54):
I just did it for them oh, oh,interesting, wow that's.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
But you, you had a dream and you fulfilled it,
which is admirable, because alot of people don't act on it.
You know they're afraid.
So you actually went to.
I mean, for somebody inCalifornia to go to New York is
a lot.
I used to live, I used to liveback there and I'm in California
, so it's like it's so slowpaced in Southern California and

(20:23):
like you go to like Boston orNew York or even Chicago or like
I, my family's from, andthey're like zooming around and
like it.
Just, it's just so fast backthere.

Speaker 4 (20:35):
Yeah, I mean, I think that's just maybe my
personality trait.
But then here I am, back toBali and we have property down
in Costa Rica.
Talk about like that's veryyeah right.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
That's cool.
Wow, at what point did yourealize that working in
corporate fashion andadvertising was no longer your
dream?
I know we kind of talked aboutthis, but what were the key
factors that led to thisrealization?
I'm just curious.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
You know, I don't know, because that was always my
dream, since I was little Likethat, to do that, to live in New
York, land a job in a you know,a globally recognized company
and do that.
But I, maybe that was mechanging globally recognized
company and do that.
But maybe that was me changing.
You know, we were saying thatlike my soul, or maybe it was my

(21:25):
inner true self really comingthrough and realizing that what
I thought was making me happy, what I thought mattered, which
is the brand that you worked for, where you worked, your title
and things in fashion it justwasn't fulfilling me.
I like realized that I lookedaround in a meeting and what my

(21:46):
coworkers were stressing about,or loving, or like working you
know, burning the midnight oilfrom, like I think it just hit
me.
I'm like for what?
Maybe I am changing and thesethings just don't matter to me
anymore.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
There's somebody I know I know this is going to
sound kind of mean, but a friendof mine.
Both know her and she achievedall this stuff and everything's
like status with her.
My friend was talking about heryesterday and she said, well,
she just has everything.
She has this great, perfectlife.
And I said you know what?
She's really not that nice.
I said you know, maybe she hasall this stuff.

(22:21):
I was just being honest.
It's like people remember youfor being kind, really than what
you achieve.
It's like you can't take thatwith you.
So I don't know.
I think too, when you ascend alot of this stuff in the 3D
world kind of doesn't matteranymore the status and the money

(22:42):
and what you're driving andwhat kind of clothes you're
wearing.
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
Yeah, exactly.
It's weird that that was allcoming a few months before I
really jumped into all of it.
It was almost like my ego brainwas catching up first, before
even my soul.
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
Yeah, that's interesting.
It's interesting how that works.
I don't know.
I just thought I'd give that asan example, because it's, I
don't know, it doesn't meaneverything, it's not everything.
I think that's why we're here.
It's a life lesson.
We have to figure this stuffout.
It's a lesson that we have tofigure this stuff out.

(23:21):
You know, it's all.
It's a.
It's a lesson that we have tolearn.
I feel, how we live our lifehere on earth and you seem
pretty, um, you seem like an oldsoul, which is cool because you
don't, you're not that old andyou kind of had all this come to
you at a I feel at a youngerage.
You, you?
know a little life left in you.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
I'm older than I look .
But fortunate to like right Alittle early on in pivot yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
Right, yeah, definitely, yeah.
Yeah, I didn't mean to bringage up, but I'm just saying you
just seem like you're an oldsoul.
It's pretty, it's pretty cool.
I'm just curious what inspiredyou to become a serial
entrepreneur and how did livingin Bali, mexico, costa Rica,
influence your journey andperspective on life and work?

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Yeah, and I guess this is an added answer to where
in fashion was also because Ididn't want to work for someone
else anymore.
My partner he is, you know, heworks for himself, so he'd be
15-20 days of vacation time inour six days and that's it.
It's not like and I was.

(24:41):
You know, this is pre-pandemic.
So I had to go to an officeMonday through Friday.
So that was a big thing.
Was I realized how alive I feltwhen I traveled and when I was
in other countries exploring theculture?
But I then I wanted to livethere.
I wanted to not just go fivedays, 10 days, I wanted to

(25:02):
really immerse myself in thelanguage, the culture, the food,
the way they heal and wellness.
So I reverse engineered.
I was like, what can I do frommy laptop, waking up anywhere in
the world?
So I started to learn differentthings of selling online,

(25:27):
having an online business.
So that's kind of where itstarted.
I love business in general.
I went to business school.
I got my master's in business.
It was only up until last yearwhere I decided to fully commit

(25:48):
to my healing business.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Yeah right, that's really great that you did that.
I don't know if you want to addanything else.
I have one last question, but Idon't know if you want to talk
about anything else, or aboutthe services you offer or
anything about generationalcurses, or do you do that or not
?

Speaker 4 (26:07):
I just saw it out there.
I have people figure it out.
It's all about releasing, youknow, through any modality, all
the different modalities, I dothat.
It's working with your energyto release anything that's been
stuck stored there, whether it'ssince you were born, whether
it's karmic, since you, you know, inherited free your soul, came

(26:29):
into the earth.
So I always have differentclients that have like different
things.
I mean, I did a dark entityrelease with someone the other
week because they felt liketheir family member put a curse
on them.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
You know right, okay, interesting.
That's why I brought that up todo generational curses, because
my clients talk about that.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
Yeah, energy of things.
I always say there's nothing Ihaven't, you know, done and that
I'm afraid to work with, because I just love working with
ancestors.
So I think that's where we'd gowith that, because my whole
thing now is as a Reiki masterteacher and breathwork.
So I love to empower otherpeople, empower you and your
audience, everyone that they aretheir own healer.

(27:09):
All that wisdom and, you know, innate intelligence lies within
us all.
So I'm actually at the end ofthis month I'm kicking off a
three-month group mentorshipprogram where it starts with a
level one training so you getthe Reiki training, you get
attuned to the symbol so you canchannel the life force energy

(27:29):
through to you.
What I found was most programsit's in a weekend and then
that's kind of it.
You're on your own, but this isa three month cohort so you're
with people along the spiritualjourney with you, and each week
we'll meet and I teach you aboutthe chakra systems, working
with your energy and especiallytapping into your intuition.
And we do all of that throughother things.

(27:51):
So there's breath work, learning about ancestral healing
and intergenerational trauma.
We do that all in the programtogether, working with birth
elements, and then I tap into alittle bit of human design,
because that's a great way oflearning how to with your energy
.
Yeah, it is so it'spersonalized for each individual

(28:14):
of how to best use your energy, going forward and then even
channeling through the AkashicRecords.
So I cover all of that in theprogram?

Speaker 3 (28:22):
Oh, that would be great.
And you said it's a coupleweeks long and it's live, it's
going to be live.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
So it kicks off at the end of October, so that last
weekend in October we do yourReiki training and then we meet
every week for 12 weeks.
We'll have the breaks, becausethere's Thanksgiving, and then
we have our Christmas breaks, but then that to like I always
say, we clear all that space inright.
We release what no longerserves us so we can make more

(29:01):
room for opportunities in ourlife.
So it'll clear all that stuff,so you can call in all your
intentions for 2025.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Oh, wow, that's great .
Do you want to give theaudience your website again?
I know I gave it in the intro, but yeah, so it's justmy first
namecom, so it's hesalizacom.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
Okay, there I can send you.
Another link is a free um.
I have a free guided meditation, activation meditation to help
you connect with your energy andintuition, so you can try to
doodle it on your own.
But then there's the wait listto sign up for the program and
all the details for that as well.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
Okay, and then I'll have it on Instagram too when we
release the podcast.
So then I'll tag you in it sopeople can find you, and then
I'll be in the show notes too onApple.
Yeah, so that's great,wonderful.
And our last question is ourtagline for the Electric Spirit

(30:00):
Podcast is igniting your spirit.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
How do you ignite your spirit?
I dance, oh wow, I just, I justum.
So in hollywood, in la, there'san amazing.
It's called the hollywood bowlfor those who've been, but it's
a big amphitheater and theybring the best group.
So I just saw a band there lastFriday and just danced, and it
was just yeah, it's wonderfulthere.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Yeah, I've been to some shows there and I have a
friend that lives in Pasadenaand she's always going over to
the Hollywood Bowl.
So, yeah, dancing is wonderfuland the music like just and some
music dancing.

Speaker 4 (30:31):
I feel like that ignites your spirit and you
dance like no one's watching.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Exactly, yeah, when I was in high school, I used to
have dance parties with just thegirls, so I'd invite them over
Really and we would just dancein my parents' living room.
Wow, yeah, that was so cool.
Yeah, it was fun.

Speaker 4 (30:53):

well with the class coming upand hopefully our listeners will
sign up and because it soundsreally wonderful yeah if they
want to really you know whetheryou want to be a healing arts
practitioner or not, and youjust want to learn how to like
