José Luiz es investigador del Departamento de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad Federal de Pernambuco, Brasil. Es el creador del plan de gobierno para la reducción de homicidios Pacto por la Vida, con el que se logró reducir en 40% los homicidios en el estado de Pernambuco, al nordeste de Brasil.
Aram, maestro en política pública, es oficial de programa para América Latina de Open Society Foundation. Se ha concentrado en el desarrollo de la campaña #InstintoDeVida en los siete países más letales de América Latina.
