Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome back to the
Elijah Rising podcast.
I'm your host, micah Gamboa, and today I'm joined by a very
special guest.
We have Frankie Mazepika withus.
You may remember him from a fewepisodes back where he shared
about his previous book.
Today we're going to talk aboutyour second book, which is
really exciting.
How about, before we do that, you introduce to yourself, to
(00:24):
our listeners?
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Alright.
Well, a pastor at church in theWoodlands, texas it's called
Celebration Church, and yeah, Imean I love my wife, I've got
three kids, I've got two dogsthat annoy me, and I've known
you guys now for about fiveyears.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Yeah, it's incredible
time.
I know, I know Flights.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
I can't believe in.
Yeah, I remember when your babywas like six months old, three
months old.
And I remember when I, when Imet you guys, I was sitting in
my kitchen.
This is what led to ourdiscussion, or led to me calling
(01:09):
you guys to meet you guys.
I was in my kitchen, I washaving lunch and my laptop was
open and my splash pages.
Is that what you call it?
Yeah, sure.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Sounds good.
Yeah, sounds good.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
So when I open up and
I get online, fox News pops up
and so right on the like, Ididn't even have to scroll down.
It says Elijah Rising stopsCanadian company from coming to
Houston to open up a.
(01:43):
What was it?
A robot sex brothel.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah, which is
perfect timing that we're doing
this episode, because ourprevious episodes we actually
revisit.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
that it's a five year
anniversary, oh my goodness.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
And so we had to
re-explain like I'm sorry, what.
What are we talking about?
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Exactly Like when I
read it, I'm sitting there
eating lunch at the counter inmy kitchen and I read that and
I'm like what in the world Right?
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
And so I'm looking at
it.
And I didn't know anythingabout Elijah Rising and so I'm
looking at Elijah Rising likethe link where I could click on
the link and just the title ofthe article was alarming.
but I was so curious becauseI've never heard of anything
(02:32):
like that in my life and so likemy hand kind of hovered over
the mouse because I don't knowwhere this is going to take me.
You know, so I click on ElijahRising and and first I read the
article and I'm like how in theworld did you guys stop this?
Like it got the White House'sattention.
(02:55):
It was insane, like I've neverheard.
And then I click on it and Ihad an idea.
I was like maybe they'reChristian because Elijah Rising.
And so then I start readingabout you guys and I'm like
these people are in Houston, they're at the tip of the spear
(03:17):
on stopping sex trafficking.
And then, like regularly youguys are going into brothels
trying to get these victimsfreed.
And so that's when I called youguys up.
I was like okay, I got to meetyou guys and I had one primary
motivation to bring you guys toour church and just raise as
(03:39):
much money as we could and giveit to you guys.
And we've been partners forfive years now you know, and so
it's been an awesome, awesomepartnership.
Like our church family lovesloves, like they get excited
about the opportunities to give,I mean it's been a fun
(04:01):
relationship.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
It really has, and
from our end as well.
I mean, we've really enjoyednot just getting to know you,
frankie, but also your team, your attendees.
You know they've really ralliedaround not just Elijah Rising
but that kind of antitrafficking focus as a whole,
yeah.
But there are other focusesthat your church really carries
in, bodies that I would say youlead the way in, that are so
(04:27):
important not just for theChristian community at large but
for anti traffickingspecifically.
And your previous book was kindof all centered around the
power of God.
Do you want to just touch onthat real quick.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yes, the title was
your divine invitation access
the Holy Spirit to complete yourassignment.
And you know that book willalways be dear to my heart
because that was basically rightabout the journey that I took
(05:01):
to go from just praying andhoping that people would be
healed to actually seeing peoplehealed.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Yeah wow.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
And so now when I
pray for people to get healed at
our church, people get healedevery single Sunday.
Now, not everyone we pray forgets healed, but it is not
uncommon for deaf ears to open, blind eyes to open.
Our prayer partners experiencethe exact same thing, and so in
(05:32):
that book I just walk peoplethrough a very practical journey
, because I used to look atthese ministers or even people
who were just in thecongregation, and I've always
looked at them and I thoughtyou're picked right, You're
picked to pray for people andsee miracles and see healing.
I didn't realize that you couldvolunteer for that.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Wow, that's such a
good way to put it Right.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
I didn't realize that
you could do that.
And so I just said, okay, god,use me as an example of a person
who's not seeing any of thesethings happen.
And then now I'm seeing themhappen so I could tell other
people about it.
Use me as an example.
And that very thing happened.
And that's why I wrote the book, because, again I would say
(06:22):
just tell me exactly what to do,god.
Give me the one, two, threesteps.
Even if there's 42 steps, I'lltake each step serious.
But nobody ever told me whatthey were, and so I kind of had
to discover that on my own.
But it's so duplicatablebecause it's all scriptural.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
I love that.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Yeah, it was a fun
book to write.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Yeah, and the first
one.
Now you've written a secondwhich we're here to unpack a
little bit and I'm reallyexcited to host you today
because we have such a commonthread, common theme, kind of.
I don't know our backgroundsare the same, meaning that.
So your next book is calledIgnite your Life.
(07:08):
Right 14 Things that Happen whenyou Pray, and so it's all
centered around this theme, thatof prayer being integral to the
Christian walk and developingyour life in Christ and what
happens when you do that.
So do you want to introduce ourlisteners to that kind of
second?
I do.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
I do so when the
journey began in 2018, when I
wrote the first book and what Istarted realizing is, while I
was praying, saying, okay, god, make me an example of a person
who's not experiencing anyhealings or miracles, I started
(07:46):
noticing that, as I was praying, other things started happening
that were phenomenal, and sothen I started praying, I'd set
my alarm on my phone, like I'mnot coming out of this prayer
room until which was usually mybedroom or a room at the office
I'm not coming out until thealarm goes off.
(08:09):
And it started off at 30 minutes.
And you know I don't liketalking about it because it's so
personal to me, but just tomake my point, you know it's
very easy for me to pray twohours now and it just kind of
worked up 30 minutes, 45 minutesan hour.
But I started seeing all theseother things happen and then I
(08:29):
realized, oh my goodness, like, for example and in the book I
talk about 14 things that happenwhen you pray but one of them
is battles that we're facing.
They are won or lost dependingon whether or not we're praying.
In Psalms 56, nine it saysevery day you call for help, the
(08:55):
tide of the battle turns.
And so to back up and say, okay, I'm in the middle of a battle
and if I pray I'll win.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
If I don't.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
I won't, you know.
It's that simple.
Because let me think, what'sthat scripture?
Second Corinthians, 10, nine, where it says the weapons of our
warfare are not carnal, youknow so carnal means anything
that you can do on your ownRight, but they're mighty in God
for the pulling down ofstrongholds.
And so battles are won or lostdepending on whether or not we
(09:32):
pray.
And that's, I think that's thefirst, the first or second
chapter.
But then I came across anotherverse, and this is another
chapter, where I realized thatseasons shift when we pray.
And so for me, I've been in somany seasons from like God, I'm
(09:53):
tired of being in this spot.
Like I want.
I want to be closer to you, andI realize I'm always going to
have problems while I'm on earth, but I want different problems,
right, like these problems.
I'm done.
I'm done with this.
And in Daniel 2, 21, it sayssuch a, it's such a.
(10:14):
It was such a breath of freshair for me.
Because it says in God changesthe times and the seasons.
I mean he obviously thatincludes I don't know winter,
spring, summer, fall.
I mean obviously it includesthat.
But it means much more thanthat.
(10:35):
He's saying I changed theseasons.
In other words, he looks at usand says okay, you've been in
this season long enough, andevery season we have prepares us
for the next season.
And you're ready.
Now You're equipped, you'reready, let's go to the next
(10:55):
season.
And but these shifts of seasons, they come through prayer.
So if you're not praying, youcan get stuck in a season way
longer than what you should be.
You know the the story aboutthe children of Israel wandering
around in the wilderness for 40years.
(11:17):
You know.
The examples go on and on, butfor those who pray, the seasons
change.
I'll just share one more, justfor the sake of time.
But when you pray, you're ableto impact the lives of those who
are not even praying forthemselves.
(11:37):
So good.
And so when you have a friend, you have a loved one, and they
just seem to be in a rough patchor off the rails, so to speak,
and you're like, oh God, likethey're not even acknowledging
you.
I don't even know if they havehelp or hope, because if you're
not in their life, I know theyhave no hope.
But in Mark, chapter nine, thisfather brought his son, who was
(12:04):
possessed with the devil, andhe asked Jesus for help.
So essentially, he was praying.
He came to the Lord, he prayedand we know the end of the story
, where the young boy wasdelivered.
Well, the boy didn't come toJesus, the boy didn't ask for
(12:25):
help, it was the father who didand the Lord honored his prayers
.
Another example Lazarus wasdead.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Right, he could not
ask.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
He was dead.
Dead people can't pray.
He's wrapped up in a tomb.
It was Mary and Martha thatcame to Jesus and put their
request at his feet, and prayed.
And, consequently, lazarus cameback to life.
And so you take these storiesand you look at a mother and you
(12:59):
say, hey, if you have a son ora daughter, that is just
breaking your heart.
Your prayers are so powerfulthat it can impact their life.
And Paul was in prison and hewas cold, he had no coat.
He talks about that.
He was essentially down anddepressed.
(13:22):
And in 1 Corinthians, no, no,no, it's not 1 Corinthians.
Let me think yeah.
So in 1 Corinthians, 1Corinthians 111, he says this he
goes you helped me when youprayed for me, right?
And so why did he need help?
Speaker 1 (13:42):
He was in the prison,
he was stuck.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
He couldn't.
Yeah, his hope was beingdrained, and so at some point
and I like to kind of dive intothat, like when did he know he
was getting help?
Speaker 1 (13:58):
He could feel
strengthened.
Yeah, his spirit was morebuoyant.
Exactly yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
He just started
noticing wait a minute here, I'm
not as down as.
I'm not as depressed, I'm notas weak.
I feel like I'm gettingstronger.
And then he's like well, howcould this?
Oh, you guys are praying for me, you know, and so I just
believe that if people knowexactly what's happening while
(14:26):
they're praying, that knowingdoing gap will be closed, right,
they know they need to Sure.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
We all are like.
Yes, we understand that prayeris important.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
I know I need to, but
to actually do it it's very,
it's very difficult, but whenyou know what's happening, okay,
now there's some.
There's some fire in theprayers.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Yeah, I love that.
So we I say we're similar inthat way because we use so value
prayer we keep it as one of ourfour pillars.
So the Elijah Rising started asa prayer meeting and that was
all we did for like a year, probably more, and so we tried
to keep that as part of thefoundation.
(15:07):
But there's always more.
You're never like oh well, I'vearrived at the prayer summit.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
You know, I am now
the superior prayer person.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
There's no such thing
as that, Because I think it's
Paul.
He's like you need to bepraying continually, Like
there's never an end.
It's always a constantcommunication back and forth.
And there's another book that Ireferenced sometimes, but he
talks about it just being likethis communion with the Lord,
Like it's not.
Like there are times when weclobber into our room and we
(15:41):
shut the door and we do it inprivate and it's, you know,
focused, intense, intentional.
But then there's other timeswhere you're like, hey, this is
a breath prayer in my car.
Like I'm constantly communingwith the father.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Yeah, what did you
just say in my car?
This is like Like a breathprayer.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
They talk about like
I love that phrase.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Like a breath prayer.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Like God, help me,
you know, or whatever.
Like you, but you areacknowledging.
It takes a form of a measure ofhumility to say, like man, God,
I need you, I can't do it on myown.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Yes, yes, it's funny
you would say that cause.
Smith Wigglesworth said shortprayers are powerful prayers.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Amen, I love that,
isn't that great and he's like
the king of prayer.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Yes, yes, short
prayers are powerful prayers,
you know, and some people say, well, I can't pray very long,
can you say a sentence?
Yeah, because that sentence isreally, really powerful.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
Yeah, and I think, I
think to your point just start,
yeah, right, you start with 10minutes a day and through the
faithfulness, the diligence, thediscipline, perseverance, like
it's like a muscle.
Yeah, you grew it.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
And it's again.
It's not like a performance,it's not like a I'm earning
God's favor.
You're just communing with theFather.
There's another woman who Ilove.
She says to pray is to justopen yourself up to the.
Holy Right you know, and if wethink of it in that way of like
we're just opening ourselves upto the Holy Spirit, to the
(17:16):
Father, and letting Him do thework, yes, yes.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
I was talking to
somebody recently and they said
I just don't know what to say.
Yeah, I don't know what to do,and I said you know what?
God knew that we would strugglethere, Right, and so he made it
crystal clear what to do whenwe're trying to pray when we're
in there and it's in Philippians4-6 where he says pray about
(17:46):
everything and then thank Himfor everything he's done.
And so when we're praying it'sthat continual cycle where
you're praying about every worry, every concern, everything you
need, right?
The people that say I don'twanna pray because I'm always
asking for things he's asking, like, if it's on your mind, pray
(18:07):
about everything.
And the cool thing about thatword everything is it means
everything.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
Yeah.
He cares about every detail oftheir lives.
That's what the Bible says, andhe wants to be a part of it,
and so there's this cycle.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
You pray about
everything, and then you praise
Him for what he's done so good.
You pray about everything, youpraise Him for what he's done so
good, and your entire prayertime is just over that.
And praising Him for what he'sdone.
I mean I've been walking aroundin my house and saying, god,
thank you for this carpet Right.
I mean I've been in homes, ifyou wanna call them that, in the
(18:41):
barrios in different countries, and it's all dirt right.
Pray for the simplest things, and as you pray for simple
things, more things will come toyour mind.
I love that I'm not in thehospital right now.
Thank you that my childrenaren't in the hospital.
Thank you that I'm stillmarried, right, or whatever you
(19:02):
know, whatever comes to yourmind.
So you praise, and then youpray about whatever's on your
mind, that's good.
You praise and you just go backand forth, back and forth, back
and forth.
That's really good.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
And it's so important
, I would say we see such a
performance culture.
I mean, we're in America, forgoodness sake, Right, and we're
so ingrained into everythinghyper productivity, performance.
It's this drivenness of theworld, really the world of flesh
and the devil that like push it, it's constantly pushing.
(19:36):
So you're feeling this pressureand the only way to really
relieve that pressure is tosurrender to the Father, you
know, and the only way you cando that is to cast all of your
cares on the only one, the onlyburden bearer which is Jesus.
And it says, like he daily bearsour burdens.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
And so in this I mean
I know it's the same as a
pastor you have you're carryingso much with the cares of your
church, your family, thefinances of everything trying to
keep all the wheels.
And we feel the same thing.
You know, in anti-traffickingyou feel a lot of pressure to
see these women recover andhealed and reached.
You always want to do more youknow, but the only solution, the
(20:21):
only one who is able to carrythat amount of pressure?
Speaker 2 (20:26):
is Christ.
Well, if the problem is too bigfor you, you're not the one
that's supposed to solve itright.
And so when you and your teamare looking at victims that are
being abused on it, I mean, it'sthe modern day slavery.
I mean, if we knew the lifethat they're living, I mean I
(20:51):
think all of us would just quitour jobs and just join Elijah
Rising, right.
But there's a part of us andI'm just speaking for myself I
know that it would just ruin mylife to know.
And so it's kind of like thankyou, elijah Rising, because I
(21:12):
can support you guys in whatyou're doing.
I can pray and know that youguys are the tip of the spear
and for those of us who partnerwhen we're in heaven, we'll get
to reap the same reward as youyou know.
You know, we need you and youneed us.
(21:34):
And so you know, and but thenfurther you know.
I like to say everyone hastremendous burdens, even though
they look different you know,For one person.
They're just praying to God.
They stay out of the hospitalmy wife has said it before cause
(21:54):
she got really really sick forabout nine months.
She couldn't get out of the bedand she said if you have your
health, you have an awesome life.
Yeah, yeah.
And I know you can talk aboutthat too, and so you know, all
of our burdens are different, but they're equally as heavy.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Yeah, oh, no, totally
agree, you know, and we've been
to get out of that.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
How are you going to
get out of that?
If you can change it, you wouldright.
And so to say, okay, like whenI pray, the tide of my battle
turns.
Yeah, and it's a powerful thing.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
We, as believers,
have the authority.
It doesn't necessarily meanthat, okay, we prayed once and
it's automatically gonna befixed Sometimes.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
yes, right, that does
happen.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
But we also see
persevering prayer, travailing
prayer, fervent, effectiveprayer of the righteous in the
scriptures, and we see men andwomen who, throughout history,
prayed for days, weeks, months, years to see something
accomplished.
Because there's a struggle inthe heavenlies, right that we
(23:03):
are interacting with.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
There's a battle
there.
There's a battle, yeah.
Yeah, I love talking with you, micah, because you're as
passionate about prayers thananyone I've ever met, but and I
know we gotta stay concentrateon the time.
But I really gotta say this youknow, sometimes our battle
shifts in.
The whole season changes in asecond.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
I can't even count
how many people I've seen healed
in a moment.
But to your point, sometimesthe seas, even though the battle
is shifting, it needs to shiftmoment by moment, day by day,
before that victory comes.
But there's two things you getevery single time you pray
(23:54):
immediately, and it's in Hebrews, chapter four, verse 16,.
It says when you pray, let's goto the throne of grace with
boldness, because when you prayyou will always receive mercy
and grace.
So good, every single time sogood, and so mercy says hey look
(24:15):
, I remember that you're madefrom dust.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
And I'm not.
I'm not, I'm not looking at youwith angry eyes, I'm looking at
you with loving eyes.
My mercy, my love and durstforever.
So you receive mercy every time, and then you receive grace
every single time.
And what grace does is it makesyou strong where you're weak
(24:42):
and you get that every singletime, and so if the battle
shifts in well, the battle'salways shifting every time you
pray, but if the battle lasts, awhile you always have the grace
to get through that.
But if you're not praying, nograce.
(25:03):
Good luck, lower yourexpectations.
You might be there a while.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Yeah, yeah, it might
crush you in the process.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Yes, you know yes.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
I know we could share
so many stories about the
practicality of what that lookslike.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Can you share with
our listeners, maybe one
testimony where you've seen hey, this has been a lesson that you
maybe put in the book orsomething throughout your life
of the power or the efficacywhere prayer made a difference
and you know for a fact, like,if I didn't pray, that wouldn't
have happened.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Yes, yes, I'll use a
personal one, my wife, for
whatever reason.
Help me with this.
I can't believe I'm drawing ablank here, vertigo.
Vertigo she was having Vertigolike crazy and for people who've
had Vertigo it's debilitating.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
And going to a doctor
.
It's like they're grasping forstraws.
Try this, try that, but she wasin bed for months you know,
Should hold the wall to get tothe kitchen.
I mean, it was terrible.
It got to the point where ourkids weren't even expecting her
to be standing up when they gothome from school.
(26:16):
I'm dropping them off fromschool.
I'm picking them up for like itwas, just terrible.
And then I remember walking intomy office and in Psalms 5-3, it
says every morning I wake upI'm gonna lay the pieces of my
life on the altar and I'm gonnawait for the fire to fall.
(26:36):
And so I would go into myoffice and I would close my eyes
and I would say I'm coming toyour throne right now and I
would visualize to the best ofmy ability To be in at his
throne and coming before my kingand I would say sometimes
you're my father, sometimesyou're my savior, but right now
(26:58):
I need you to be my king and I'mcoming before you and I'm
asking you to heal my wife.
I'm asking you and I did thatover and over again no doctors.
They had no answers.
You know they had no medication.
You know it's not like that.
She can go on a garden of Edenfast, like nothing.
(27:20):
And then I remember I just camehome one day and she was up, she
was walking around and she gotstronger and stronger.
And I know that had I notprayed, that would not have
happened.
That would not have happened.
And so you know, in the book Icite a lot of different examples
.
And you know, I just know, Iknow in my heart, because it's
(27:43):
happened to me, that when youknow the 14 things and there's
more.
But you know, my hand wascramping while I was writing so
to speak, you know.
But when you know what'shappening, you just pray more.
And to go back to the title ofthe book, it really does ignite
(28:05):
your life.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
I love that and we
need it in anti-trafficking
right.
We need the power of God, thegrace of God, we need to be
sustained, we need hope, likethere are survivors who speak
out now, who are leaders, whohave come out and they're like
you know, therapy community.
All of those things I needed.
(28:28):
But really the most effectivetransformational moments have
been with my times with Jesus.
He is the healer, he is therestorer, and so we as believers
, whether you're inanti-trafficking or not, you're
still working with humanity, whois broken.
We are all, so in need right, and so we need that infusion of
(28:52):
grace and mercy like you'retalking about.
And if it's as simple as like.
Okay, let's figure out how topray, you know.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
And see, that's what
I love.
I love every facet of ElijahRising.
But when you guys rescue ayoung lady, I mean within that
same day, you guys areintroducing Jesus in that same
day and you recognize that, okay, they have been through things
(29:24):
that are so bad they may nevereven tell us.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
Yeah right.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
And for them to be
healed and made whole.
That's not something that canhappen any other way.
Yeah.
Then calling on the Lord.
So you guys start praying forthese girls immediately and
that's why you guys are seeingthe fruit that you're seeing in
this ministry.
(29:48):
I mean it's powerful, it truly,truly is.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
And let there be more
.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
We need the church to
arise.
Right, right.
We need intercessors.
You know, the church is thehope of the world.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Yeah, yeah.
And we get a lot of questionslike, well, why is he for the
Houston so bad about trafficking?
I'm like, well, honestly, it'sa heart of man issue, humanity
issue right.
If the and I really believethat, if the church putting
myself in this bucket, you knowif we were taking our place on
(30:23):
the wall of intercession, cryingout for the Lord's like power,
revival, repentance,transformation to come
Collectively.
I think we would be in a verydifferent position.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Oh my gosh, we'd.
You know, our power is relianton our prayer life, and so would
we be in a different position?
Absolutely, because ourvictories would be more often
and they'd be more powerful.
And so, yeah, 100%, 100%.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
So let's one more
takeaway that you want our
listeners to have before we wrapup.
Is there anything that wehaven't covered that you really
feel like, man?
This is really important.
I want them to know.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
You know, I think
that the last thing that I would
want to say is and this is oneof the chapters in the book too
that prayer changes thetrajectory of your life.
You know, I had a birthday afew years ago and I thought to
myself if I extrapolate, extrapolate, how may I say that?
(31:32):
Yeah, extrapolate, yeah, thankyou, I speak for living but I
can't say words.
But anyway, I started thinkingif my life stays at the same
pace as it is right now, 15years from now, I'm going to see
moderate changes.
(31:53):
You know, incremental changethat's a better word,
incremental changes and you know, am I going to be happy, you
know, at that point, and youknow it was very depressing.
It was very, very depressing, and so I said I need my
trajectory to change.
I needed it to be higher, Ineeded it to be sharper, and
(32:16):
what I mean by that is thecloseness that I have with the
Lord has got to be.
It's got to be closer, and Iwant my impact when I talk with
people In Charles Finn and Italk about him in the book how
just someone's countenance, justthe light in their eyes, can
(32:39):
cause someone to feel convictedof their sin.
And so this can happen withanyone.
And so I really started prayingand I started noticing new
doors opening, you know, newrelationships.
When God opens up doors for you, it's not because we display
(33:00):
this tremendous amount ofstrength.
In Revelation 3.8, he says see,I have opened up a door for you
.
And then watch this, I know youare very weak.
Right.
And it's just like oh mygoodness, thank you, cause I
don't want to feel like I got tohide the obvious.
I know you are very weak, butyou've remained faithful to me.
(33:22):
And so when he opens up a door, the door is not a physical door
.
It's new opportunities, it'snew relationships, it's a
greater responsibility, it'smore influence, and so that
changes your trajectoryimmediately.
(33:44):
Yeah and all of that circlesback around to being faithful.
You can't be faithful if you'renot praying.
So, I know that you're weak, butyou've remained faithful.
You've continued to put yourmind's attention, your heart's
affection on me and say thoseone sentence prayers so watch
(34:04):
what I'm about to do.
I'm gonna change yourtrajectory.
I'm gonna open up doors for you.
Speaker 1 (34:08):

Knowing exactly what happenswhen you pray.

love that.
So January 2024, in case peopleare listening, at another time.
