or your pillows or your couch, wherever you are.
My point is to just relax. So stay tuned everyone and let's
get right into it. Welcome to Elm with Eli.
Stay tuned. I just want to say sorry about

(00:58):
the bad audio in this episode guys, my microphone wasn't
working and the zoom that me andPete were doing our interview on
was kind of acting up a little bit.
I just want to say I'm sorry about the bad audio but yeah and
future episodes we should hopefully have way better or
you. Welcome to the podcast, Pete.

(01:33):
How are you? Yeah, good thanks.
Happy to be. Have you got anyone to games
anytime soon? You've got a game this Friday,
but I won't be playing a good, ashoulder injury that I'm
carrying two, should we? Open next week.
Well I hope the games got well thanks for being today's guests.
Have you been on a podcast before you know, been on one
before I think it was like earlyin my career Duda integrate much

(01:58):
like not just on a podcast below.
Get off the game. I interviewed a little bit, not
so much, not very good with getting interviewed, but I think
the more you do it, the better you get at it.
So, yeah, sometimes I get interviewed and sometimes I try
and stay away from being in Swedish.
The first question is like, well, I'm not sure it's really

(02:19):
question, but could you tell thelisteners a bit about you?
And what inspired you to get into rugby?
Because I didn't know. Yeah, my name is Pete.
Some 31? I was born and raised in
Melbourne. Donald my schooling in
Melbourne, what inspired me? I've made that inspired but my
older brothers and my dad playedrugby.
So I kind of just grew into it. Yeah grew to love the game and

(02:43):
still playing today which is pretty cool you know how to do
any other sport further, just mainly Rob.
Yeah, well in school, right be wasn't very big enough and say
we didn't have our Lisa. I played a bit of AFL and school
which is pretty cool experience was In fit enough for the game.
But, you know, getting that contact side of things, compared

(03:05):
to write, B was a good experience.
And I recently started playing golf.
I was, I've been, I've been out a couple times and haven't been
great, my teammates that I go with the very good.
So I sort of just learning for them and hopefully I can get out
to play. Now the answering.
Yeah. How did it all start as in like,

(03:26):
how did you join the Rugby teamsthat you're now in the wallabies
have boundaries? I think, when I first signed my
personal contract, never really had goals such as playing in
these Granite teams, but it justworking hard and just knowing
what you wanted to get out of playing the sport.
I think the main thing was that I was playing with some of my

(03:48):
good mates and enjoying the sport, which sort of led me on
to sign border. What?
Louise? And the Bambi's thing I like
most is like getting to play with your good nights.
Do get look. A lot of injuries or is it
pretty nude? I've had a few by Lucky.
They weren't very serious ones. I think the longest I've been.

(04:10):
That was maybe six to eight weeks.
Well, yeah. What injury was that?
I think that might've been my me, which was quite a few years
back. Now, lie, apart from that been
pretty good with injuries for fear.
What do you top three? Favorite things to do in your
spare time? Or like what do you like to do
in your spare time? I mean, I got Dolittle Kids that

(04:32):
I enjoy spending time with and my little dog Russell, I'm a bit
of a gamer, so play a bit of Call of Duty and probably just
put just hanging out with friends and family.
What is your favorite food or meal?
My favorite part. I know my favorite food would be
needles or like Ramen soup with noodles.

(04:55):
That'll be my favorite food and meal.
Yeah. Okay so everyone today we have a
special fact of the day because you guys get to fax to that's
literally one plus three. Today's first fact is that all

(05:25):
the electricity powering the internet, weighs the same as a
strawberry? Surprisingly, the whole thing
weighs just 50 grams around the weight of a single strawberry,
but the actual information in it, weighs less than a speck of
dust. A strawberry.

(05:55):
Why why me why us? Why the strawberries The second
fact is that a hippo's jaw or opens wide enough to fit a
sports car inside pretty small sports car.
I'm alright. Do you have a favorite movie or

(06:19):
a favorite show that you like towatch David movie off the top of
my head? I'd have to go with Enemy at the
gates but an old movie it's likea action movie.
So it's like getting the wars. What's your favorite memory from
when you were a kid spin? During the weekends at my
cousins. Staying up late, eating junk

(06:41):
food and playing video games. Do you have a favorite memory
from playing rugby as well? That's a run out in front of my
parents for the wallabies. Yeah and I got to meet you at
church and like this. Oh great.
What do you like about coming tochurch?
And what role does faith have inyour life?

(07:02):
Grew up in the Catholic Church? Go to church as a family and I
like that. I get to do that with my own
kids and just standing there that you put God into
everything, you know that you can achieve anything and do what
you want in life. People pay for me is the reason
why Should I am where I am today?
So yeah, like I do love playing with your kids at church.

(07:25):
What is it like being a dad? It's probably the best job in
the world. I think watching them grow and I
can be headaches at times but I think just watching them grow
and learn new things and how they are with their siblings and
it's pretty special to see and Iheard you had some exciting
changes coming up and like a bigmove moving to France.

(07:47):
Yeah. Hey, so tell me more about.
What's next deal? Career and family?
Yeah, so we picked up a new opportunity in France, which
would be a big change for us after it.
Exciting will be in a town called Bordeaux.
Yeah. So it's a little bit challenging
but exciting at the same time I think you'll be pretty cool or

(08:08):
my family to experience and pretty cool to have the kids
going to school and learning French.
That's where we'll be headed fornext year.
Now, it has been a pretty quick interview, but like the last
question before we wrap up, is if you could give any advice to
my audience, what would it be? And whatever you want to do in

(08:31):
life? Make sure you enjoy it and make
the most of it. Yeah, sometimes doesn't last
forever. And change is good.
Yeah, thanks so much for being today's interviewee and it's
been really inspiring to hear all about your life and what you
have achieved. I'm That we could do an
interview, thank you. And I hope you have a great
adventure. Thank you so much, guys.

(08:54):
Thanks for having me and greaterthan plea.
See you at church on Sunday? Yeah, yeah.
See you then. Okay, thank you.
Thanks.
