Today, Paige welcomes Matt Arnett, the Community Pastor and Director of Business on Mission & Church on Mission for The Bucket Ministry, a nonprofit organization that works to provide the love of Jesus and clean water solutions to communities in need around the world. He is also a committed husband and father with a strong heart for engaging children in missions, believing they are not just recipients of ministry, but active participants in God’s work. This is such a beautiful conversation full of reminders that we as parents have the incredible privilege of discipling our children and empowering them to go out into the world to be a light for Jesus.

• Asking: What is my daily mission?
  • I believe that we have been made on purpose, for a purpose. How are we talking to our kids about their purpose every day? How can they be the best friend they can be? How can they be the best team member? How can they be the best follower of Jesus?
• Helping our kids identify what makes them unique
  • When we ask our kids about what they love to do, we can encourage them to be a light in those arenas. Maybe your kid enjoys video games - how can they be a light and build community in that area? Perhaps they are a gifted athlete - how can they show Jesus through their actions on the team?
