Boundaries are essential—even in the spirit world. As a medium, I'm frequently asked if I constantly see dead people floating around me. The answer surprises most: no, spirits aren't bombarding me 24/7. They respect my energy and personal space, typically only appearing when I'm actively working with clients.
This boundary-setting is crucial for my wellbeing. Connecting with spirit requires significant energy, and if they constantly demanded my attention, I'd have nothing left for my family, self-care, or simply living my life. My late discovery of mediumship abilities wasn't accidental—it reflects my purpose to bring a grounded, skeptical perspective to this metaphysical work rather than living permanently between worlds.
Popular media perpetuates misconceptions about mediums being constantly "open." Shows depicting psychics approaching strangers in grocery stores are largely staged (imagine the liability of putting unsuspecting people on TV!). The reality is far more nuanced and controlled. However, exceptions do occur—like my recent facial appointment that unexpectedly turned into a spiritual encounter. Without actively seeking connections, I found myself receiving messages from my esthetician's departed grandmother, grandfather, and eventually her guardian angels. The experience felt divinely orchestrated, reminding me that when spirits do break through my boundaries, it's for a significant purpose.
These rare boundary-crossing moments reveal an important truth: there are no coincidences. When someone genuinely needs spiritual messages, my guides find ways to place me in their path. Though ethical lines can sometimes blur, I've learned to trust these divine appointments. So while I'm not constantly talking to dead people, I recognize that when they do appear unexpectedly, someone needed to hear exactly what they had to say. That's the delicate balance of mediumship—maintaining healthy boundaries while remaining open to those moments when breaking them serves a higher purpose.

I thought I would take a quickmoment to answer a question that
I get all the time, and youprobably heard me answer it
several times.
So, rip, apologize to all ofyou, but what I get asked all
the time is oh, you're a medium,you must see and talk to dead
people all the time.
They must be all around you allthe time flocking you.

And it's such an interestingquestion because my answer is
always no, always no.

And it's so interesting becauseI think there are some mediums
out there who are bombarded, soI'm going to put that out there
right now.
But I am personally not one ofthose.
Spirit tends to respect my time, my energy.

They come to me when I'mworking and really pretty much
leave me alone when I'm notworking.
There are exceptions to thatwhich I'm going to get into, but
for the most part they are very, very respectful of me and my
personal time, because I did notcome here to be in the spirit
world 24-7.
And I think that is definitelyshowcased by the fact of me kind

of learning and coming into mymediumship abilities very much
later in life.
If I was meant to have 100% ofmyself in the spirit world and
being in the woo woo all thetime, then I would have been
born with this and fullytransparent to this my entire
life.
But that was not my life path.
I was not meant to be thatperson.

I know that I'm here to bring avery practical, grounded
reality to this metaphysicalworld from a very critical and
skeptical perspective, and sothat is my path.
So, because of that, spiritreally respects the fact that I
have things to do.
I cannot be sitting theretalking to you all the time.
I do love the people, though,that have like their little

waiting room for spirit.
They do They'll like.
They'll like put like a littleopen, sign up, or like they'll
say I'm open between three andfour today, and they'll they'll
treat spirit like office hours.
I kind of think that's adorable.
I don't want to do that, thoughI don't have time for that.
An hour a day, no, I'm going togo work out or something.
So, for me personally, no, theydon't.
They don't come to me all thetime.

I do think there's a lot ofmisconception out there, however
, about the people that are openall the time.
And I think again you're goingto see this sensationalized
through television, throughmediumship shows and let's stick
with my favorite, teresa Caputo, for a moment here.
Because they show her goinginto restaurants, going into gas

stations, right, likesupermarkets why couldn't I
think of that word?
And they show her walking up topeople and saying, oh, you have
you lost your father.
Is that right?
And so they show it on TVbecause it makes really good TV,
right, but sure as shit.
You think she's just walking upto random people in the grocery

store doing those things.
No, that is a liability from aTV perspective.
Let's be completely real.
Everybody, you can't do that,you can't put somebody's face in
their whole life story on TVwithout their consent.
Like there's no possible way.
And I'm not Googling it, but Iknow it that these people are
probably prepped, they knowshe's coming, because all those

people they're not that, they'renot that surprised to see her
and get those readings right.
They might be a littlesurprised to get the readings,
but but they're walking and,knowing theresa's coming, she
might have a reading for me.
So you can tell in their faces,you can tell in their energy.
So I think it's justinteresting because we see one
side of the and reality is verydifferent on the other side of

For mediums because I don't knowa lot of mediums that walk
around wide open getting all thedownloads all the time it takes
energy.
It takes work.
When I connect with spirit,again it takes energy.
So if they're taking energyaway from me, besides my clients

kids, away from my personal timewhere I need to be like

relaxing and resting andrefreshing my energy for the
next reading.
So, no, they are veryrespectful and generous with me
that they don't tend to botherme.
However, there are alwaysexceptions to every rule.
Because it's ironic, I'mrecording this today.
I went to go get a facialyesterday and I didn't know why

I need to get the facial.
I don't even know why.
Like I got a littlehyperpigmentation who doesn't?
By the time they hit 40?
Right, and so I was googlingthat one day, for God, I don't
even know why.
And then I found a localesthetician and she had really
good reviews on Google and I was.
You know what.
I'll book it.
I'll book it.
So I booked with her.

I normally go to somebody elseall the time and I was like I
don't know why I'm gonna go bookbook it with her.
And sure enough, I get thereand it's the cutest.
It's the cutest spa.
I'm obsessed with this spa.
I think I'm definitely goingback.
But I get there and it's socozy, like in this amazing way,
like the energy is flawless inhere.
She's got like big Buddhastatues on the wall.

She's got crystal grids out,she's got like the aromatherapy
going.
I'm like this is my girl, Ilove her already and so she can.
As soon as she put like thefirst I don't know cleaner on my
face in walks, her abuela, andI'm like, oh God, here we go.
And it was just like, and Ijust felt her, I felt her abuela

, and I felt her abuela likeover her, helping her, watching
her.
And then all of a sudden I seea dozen roses and I was like, oh
God, this one's for me.
And she's like, don't worry,she'll be okay with it, can you
tell her?
I said hi, and for me a dozenroses means anniversary, not, um
, not usually a birthday,because they'll come in with
balloons, but a dozen rosesmeans some sort of an

anniversary, either um, apassing, or like a wedding.
I need to have them separatethat out.
So I saw the dozen roses andthen I proceeded to read through
, like her entire freakingfamily.
It was the most ridiculous offacials because, you know,
getting the facial just gettingall my clogged pores out, like
it's a little painful, it's alittle, you know, it's good pain

It's that kind of pain.
And as I'm sitting theregetting my pores squeezed out,
her grandfather comes in.
He's telling me about how hedied right, and I'm not like
actually tapping in, like I'mnot sitting there looking to see
who's there watching over her.
It's like I was the openrevolving door and they were all
just coming in to say hi to me.

That's kind of how this wentand I didn't like I wasn't
asking questions, I was justtrying to relax in the moment.
And then I feel a cousin comein and then I feel an aunt come
in and I'm just like, oh my God,are we done yet?
Everybody.
And then, once, once the paradeof her departed relatives came
through, I felt her angels, Ifelt how she was divinely guided

and it was so interesting kindof working up this.
I'm going to say the food chainsorry, dead people, but working
at the food chain from likedeparted loved ones to angels,
to like archangels, right, likeI could feel them all at
different levels and it was sointeresting to me to kind of
feel them kind of come in one ata time and I'm sure there was
some sort of lesson in it for mein terms of how they came in
and the different vibrations.

And I have to be completelyterms of how they came in and
the different vibrations and Ihave to be completely,
completely honest with all ofyou.

Departed loved ones are usuallythe ones that will cross your

I went to go check out and II'm like I have to ask you, do
you believe in mediumship?
And she just kind of got thislook on her face and I was like
that's a yes, but she didn'texpect me to say that Got it.
And I was like I have to tellyou that I'm a medium.
And all your people kept comingthrough.

And she's like oh, my God, I'mso sorry.
And I was like no, no, no, no,no.
I'm like they, it's fine, theywouldn't have come through if
they weren't supposed to comethrough, because I and sorry, I
have to pause there for a secondbecause I have to tell you they
don't come through unless theyneed to come through.
Okay, they don't come throughjust to say hi.
For the most part, they tend tocome through because they have
something important to say, andthat's what they did.
They came through to give herthis important message that

she's loved, she's divinelyprotected, the angels are with
her, she's on this path, she'sdoing everything right, and that

businessman, he watches over you, he helps you with the business
and it and it's exactly whatshe needed to hear.

what's going on.

So I just wanted to give it toyou and she was open to

So I had to kind of give herthese messages because spirit

And this is not that I'msetting the intention with all
the dead people right now.
This is not an open invitation,I am not fair game.
But I think it is interestingbecause what I have set is set.
The intention of with my team isif somebody needs a reading,
you need to line it up and youneed to get them in my, in my,

you need to get them next to mesomehow, you need to get them in
my space.
And they do that.
They orchestrate it.

I follow the signs.

protected and supported on herjourney, which is exactly what
she needed to hear at the time.

don't think we ask to bebombarded, but when we are,
there's a reason and we kind ofhave to trust it.
