And I'm absolutely like swimmingin soft luxury.
I love this and I've dressed itup with jewelry.
So I say, From the ankles up, Ilook chic AF.
But I am absolutely guilty ofwearing.
I'm not cool.
You guys orthopedic sandals andsocks at the bottom?

Cause I'm at home.
I ain't got nobody to impress.
But I do like dressing up whenI'm at home, it's a feeling I
like to give myself, I enjoyputting on makeup, even if I'm
not going anywhere.
It's all about how you feel,right.
Before I recorded today'spodcast, I was inspired to
record some content for reels.
And I totally have some videoswhere I'm going to show you my

sexy orthopedic shoes, but thenI go into a cute outfit change
where I put on my fancy heels.
As you know, the show is weeklyish.
I show up every week, as much asI can.
Last week I was entertaining myparents and their best friends.
We had so much fun.
They're on their way.
At a town for vacation flew outof Raleigh and came to see me.

And I just needed a bit of abreak to prepare for so many
things I have coming up for you.

in part one.
This is for anyone who's feelingdisenchanted by the algorithm.

I promise you social media isstill the hottest place to sell
any product and it is not goinganywhere.
It's only amplifying.
Whether you've sold art onlinealready, or you're on the cusp,
there are millions of buyerswaiting to see your creations.

They want to buy your art onlineand they're just waiting for you
to post so they can discoveryou.
In fact 130 million instagramusers tap on the shop post every
single month on Instagram.
That number is astounding thatshows how much major influence

(04:46):
Instagram alone has on internetbuying.
67% of consumers have purchaseda product they saw in a brand
social media post.
And 65% of us consumer said thatthey saw a link that led them to
purchase a product.
They weren't originally planningon purchasing.
Part two, what type of posts tomake on social media that will

(05:09):
generate purchases?
So first, if you know, what typeof posts to create, you can make
more of them.
So that will lead to sales.
So what type of posts would thatbe?
Would that be a static imagepost.
A story, a video, a reel, a tiktok.
In short, the answer is all ofthe above.

And that is key.
But when we look at the data tonarrow it down, it's pretty
clear.
There is one ingredient that youcannot forget in your social
media strategy.
Videos on social media generatehigher engagement.
According to social sprout videoposts generate 48% more views

(05:51):
and drive more purchases thanother types of content.
44% of people prefer to learnabout a new product or service
by watching a short video.
87% of marketers say that videohas directly increased sales.
Short form, video content seemsto lead to the highest ROI.

That's video between 30 and 60seconds long.
We're seeing video evolve inmany different ways, but the
most engaging video that seemsto be performing the best is
video that is entertaining orfunny.
Part three.
So why aren't my videos or myreels getting engagement or
sales?

(06:32):
This is the required mind shiftyou have to have for success.
If you're posting reels daily,but you are not seeing
engagement.
Let me help you off the socialmedia hamster wheel.
But it's going to require a mindshift.
If you want to make money onsocial media, you must first
understand that social media isa place to build relationships

and nurture them.
You can't just toss out, offerscold.
And expect to reel in the dough.
Post and pray does not work.
That's like tossing out seeds ontop of soil without first
planting, fertilizing, wateringand learning expert tips from

the farmer down the road.
You have to nurture youraudience.
Understand how to feed thealgorithm.
And do both consistently.
It's a science and an art.
Part 4, easier content planningfor busy artists.
One way to do this is to mix upyour content.
For example, using static posts.

A regular post or image.
It's the easiest way to stayconsistent for the algorithm and
your audience.
Which means you don't have topost a reel every day.
It's much easier when you have aproven formula to simplify your
workflow.
Just like I teach my studentsand the sell art on social
system program.
To summarize.

You just learned that you haveto nurture your audience.
I learn how to feed thealgorithm and do both
consistently.
Once, you know how to do that.
Social media is the ultimateenvironment to cultivate a loyal
audience who can't wait to buyfrom you.
Just like my student, Monica,who just DM me saying she sold

yet another painting.
That was her 11th painting sinceshe joined the Sell art on
