take because they think it'sgoing to bring them art sales.
So I'll teach you how to avoidthat.

And before we dive intostrategy, we need to address
ourselves as humans because themore we work on strategy and
(02:37):
grind and hustle, the moreimportant it is to nourish our
souls.
If you've been feelingoverwhelmed lately, you're not
alone.
As of late, I have really neededto find ways to ground myself
and replenish my soul.
I've needed to completely detachfrom work and everything I've
been saying yes to.
I found out that Lola needs amajor surgery.
(03:01):
Now this is my baby girl dog,who already had a spine surgery
when she was three.
Now she's seven.
And I just found out that shehas to have her right ear canal
completely removed.
I was shocked when I heard this,I took a couple steps back and I
was like what?
I'll keep you posted on that.

(04:48):
So part one of five.
The first step to launching asuccessful art business.
The key is to start with youronline social media presence and
build your website as a laterstep.
Having a social presence is aessential part of your longterm
business success.
And here's why.
(05:09):
I sold over 100 paintings in myfirst year of business, but you
know, where I did not sell thosepaintings was in my art gallery.
I sold all of those paintingsbecause of my online presence,
especially because of Instagram.
Consumers prefer to shop onsocial media.
(05:29):
And get this 56% of internetusers purchase online, at least
once a week.
And the biggest source of thosepurchases are social media.
Part 2.
If you want to grow and scaleyour business, don't do this.
Now I've worked with thousandsof artists and this is the big
holdup.
(05:49):
The biggest mistake I seeartists make when they want to
grow and scale, their businessis getting stuck in the fancy
website rabbit hole.
Here's the key.
You want to avoid building yourwebsite until you learn what is
important and effective.
So until you learn the rightbusiness strategy.
(06:10):
You don't need a fancy websitewith a ton of unnecessary bells
and whistles that don't get youresults.
Because when artists have notyet learned key business
strategies, a website is not asimportant as they think.
In fact, it ends up being thenumber one delay to success.
(06:31):
And also a huge time drain.
I actually tell my students inArtpreneur academy to"website
responsibly".
This means, I tell my Artpreneurstudents to keep their websites
to the bare minimum.
Until they get through the maincourse content and understand
the strategy.
(06:51):
Then I revealed the websitebonus at the end of the course.
And teach them the mosteffective ways to generate
purchases on their website.
Because an art business withoutcustomers is like a hospital in
the desert.
You can't help anyone.
I know it's a big mind shift,but don't worry about a fancy
website and tell you've learnedthe strategy.
(07:12):
Part three, where should I postmy art for sale?
The best place to post your arton social media is hands down,
Instagram.
Now I could create a wholepodcast just on this, but you'll
learn a lot more in the beat thealgorithm free masterclass.
What I want to tell you today is130 million Instagram users tap
(07:34):
the shop button on Instagramevery single week.
Instagram has a major influenceon purchase behavior for the
whole internet.
65% of us consumers say thatthey buy products from links
that they weren't even actuallyinterested in purchasing in the
first place.
That means they're checking outthings because they're curious.
(07:55):
And they're making purchases.
Part 4.
The first step to start andscale your business is to grow
your social media presence.
So here are the benefits tostarting on social media.
Posting on social helps you getcomfortable posting your art for
sale, showing it to the public, talking about your art.
And here's, what's important.
(08:17):
It gets you comfortable evolvingcreatively in real- time with
your audience who you will cometo know as friends.
Rewind that back, because thatis so important.
The best part about starting onsocial is that there's no
barrier to entry.
It's free.
You don't need a website.
You don't need a big artinventory.
You just need a piece of artyou've created, or you're
(08:39):
getting started on.
You can make sales on socialmedia right away.
This is something my sell art onsocial students are diving in
with immediately, even if theydon't have a website.
They're able to build theirsocial media presence right
away, systemize their contentplanning, routinely make offers,
grow a loyal following.
(09:00):
And sell their art all with nowebsite needed.
Part five.
If you already have a socialpresence, but you're not getting
results.
It's time for a change.
Posting daily is crucial tonurture your audience and build
a loyal following of art buyers.
And also to feed the algorithm.
(09:20):
So your art buyers will see yourcontent.
But I know that showing up onsocial media every single day
can be really overwhelming.
If you don't have something newto say or know what to do,
especially if you're not seeingresults.
And especially if you don't havea content plan to guide you.
But that's where the Sell art onsocial system comes to the
(09:41):
rescue.
It's my favorite way to beatoverwhelmed and get results.
It's the complete system totransform your social media
sales and content planningworkflow forever.
Where you'll get fullycustomized content to
authentically sell your art onsocial media.
Done for you in minutes.
Just like Monica who finishedthe course and four hours and
(10:03):
plant her content for the restof the year.
She didn't think she had anycontent to post when she signed
up, but the course showed herhow to use what she had, and she
discovered six months of contentthat was ready to go.
Monica keeps DM-ing me whenevershe gets sales.
And she just DMD me saying shesold her 11th paintings since
(10:26):
signing up for the course.
This program is for busy artistslike you who want better social
media results in way less time.

That's why I'm so passionateabout it.
