After having Dr. Gregory Williams as a guest in our Monday program “Conversation with Elizabeth", we have been invited to his show “Breaking the Silence” heard around the world on BBS Radio network. We talk about what motivated the creation of EmpowerSurvivors, the silence around sexual abuse, what can be provided to help survivors around the world, what trauma-informed means, and personal stories.
After Candice explains how the brain responds to trauma and 3 big phases in recovery, she goes, together with us, over different approaches to Trauma Recovery, illustrated with examples and stories. As we are all different, we are going to respond very differently to the different modalities, that is why it is important to be aware and educated on the existence of different modalities, so we can find what works for us.
This week we are publishing our conversation with Dr. Gregory Williams author of "Shattered by the Darkness: Putting the Pieces Together After Child Abuse". Dr. Gregory Williams shares his story with us and opens a very insightful conversation with Evey, Elizabeth, and the participants of the Live program.
