Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to
Endorphasmic, where we talk
about all things.
Endorphasm.
I am your hostess, erica Porter.
For those that don't know me,as I said, I'm Erica Porter.
I bring 32 years of experiencein the health, fitness and
wellness industry, and what Ihave found is the biggest
challenge for most people isclosing the gap between
(00:24):
intention and action.
True or false?
We are what we repeatedly do.
Think about that.
So many of us keep repeatingthe same behaviors over and over
(00:44):
again, yet we expect differentresults.
That, my friends, is thedefinition of insanity.
Think of it in these verysimple terms or way it's like
squeezing oranges every singleday.
Oranges every single day, yetsomehow expecting that you're
(01:12):
going to get grapefruit juice.
My loves, if you squeezeoranges, you are going to get
orange juice.
If you don't change your actions, you won't change your outcome.
It's crucial to get clear onwhere you are and where you want
to be.
Every human on this planet has168 hours in a week.
How are you using your 168hours in the week?
(01:36):
You have to accept the thingsyou cannot change and change
what you absolutely cannotaccept, what's standing in your
way.
I'll tell you.
It's a simple answer.
The only barrier to success isyourself.
There is no try.
(01:56):
There's only do or do not.
And if not now, when Changehappens, when you decide to act
right now.
Breaking free from insanitymeans doing things differently.
It doesn't mean waiting untilJanuary 1st to create a New
Year's resolution.
(02:17):
It means that if you desiresomething right now, you take
action right now.
It comes down to three thingsDesire what is it that you truly
want?
Desire is more than justwanting something.
It's declaring your intention.
(02:37):
Action Action is about creatinga roadmap.
Where am I now?
What's the obstacle?
What's the solution?
Be specific.
It's got to be measurable inorder to be actionable, and
actionable if that makes sense.
Measurable and actionable, and, lastly, is focus.
Even when you don't feel likedoing it, you do it anyway.
(03:03):
Achievable goals require careC-A-R-E, consistent and repeated
effort, even when you don'tfeel like it.
What you want matters most, soyou show up for it.
And what do you really want?
Why is it still just a thought?
(03:24):
There are thousands of thoughtsthat pass through your mind
every day.
The key is accountability.
What do you truly desire?
Who do you want to be?
How do you want to live?
Act as if everything you desireis already yours.
Become the person you want tobe.
(03:44):
Every action has a consequence.
Decide what you want and createa plan to get it.
This is how you turn desireinto reality.
And let's talk about happiness.
Happiness is shaped by yourhabits.
So ask yourself what's onehabit you can build that will
(04:08):
have the greatest impact on yourlife and what's the one habit
that you can remove that willcreate the greatest impact on
your life?
Think about the happiest, healthiest version of yourself.
What would they do?
Right now?
That's what you need to do, andsurround yourself with people
(04:33):
who empower you, who share yourvision and who motivate you to
be better.
Your life is your responsibility.
You choose the reflection yousee in the mirror, and I don't
just mean that as your physicalbeing.
I mean looking into the mirrorof your soul.
(04:56):
Looking into the mirror of yoursoul.
That is your responsibility.
There's no halfway.
Either you're all in or you'renot, and effort creates results,
and consistent effort createslasting change.
Obstacles only appear when youlose sight of your goals or when
(05:18):
what you say you really want isnot really what you want.
And think about that.
If you were unwilling to doeverything you need to do to
achieve something, then perhapswhat you say you think you want
is not something you really want.
And knowing isn't enough, youhave to apply.
(05:40):
Willing isn't enough, you mustact.
Every moment is a choice thatmoves you closer to your desires
or further away.
And remember that you can'tsolve problems with the same
thinking that created them.
So with that love, health andhappiness and always much
(06:06):
respect.
