Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Endorphasmic, where we talk
about all things endorphasm.
I am your hostess, erica Porter.
I want you to remember that youare taking none of it with you,
not the money, the house, thecars, the things.

(00:20):
None of it.
And also promise me this Don'tlet your pursuit of achievements
come at the cost of creatingmeaningful moments with loved

(00:42):
ones.
That doesn't mean I'm nottelling you to not reach for the
stars, to aspire to bemagnificent, that we lose sight

(01:12):
of what matters.
Looking back in my life, mymost treasured memories are not
of material things.
They are not of the things thatI've accomplished, but more
it's been the simple joys of myshared experiences with family,

(01:37):
friends.
It's the laughter, the sharedexperiences, the deep
connections.
That's the shit that reallymatters.
And I think for most people, ifthey could relive those days,
they would dedicate even moretime to those moments, knowing

(01:58):
that they are the true treasuresof life true treasures of life.
I have spoken with so manypeople as they're aging, looking
back at their life, and I thinkyou know men and women get hung

(02:20):
up on.
You know how they're perceived.
How how they're perceived I'mnot what I think I am, nor what
you think I am.
I am what I think you think Iam.
Our self-perception is oftenshaped by how we believe others
see us.
Yet it's crucial to understandthat people will always form
their own version of who we areand we can't control that.

(02:43):
Accepting that frees us fromthe burden of managing those
external perceptions and itallows us to find peace.
And when we embrace this truth,we can remove our masks, reveal
our vulnerabilities and beginto live authentically and
wholeheartedly.

(03:03):
And I love the saying if theworld was blind, who would you
impress?
Meaning that the only thingthat really matters in
impressing people, or to evenimpress yourself, is the impact
that we make on other people, not the shit that we buy, not

(03:26):
our house, not our bodies, evenwhat is impressive.
What is impressive is who weare as individuals, not even the
accomplishments that we've madethe most impressive part of

(04:04):
being a.
I think that the path to innerpeace often begins by releasing
judgment and allowing ourselvesto be fully present.
It's in those unguarded, authentic moments that we

(04:27):
discover true freedom and thepower of liberation.
And so, yes, it's nice to havenice things, yes, it's great to
work out and to feel comfortablein our own skin, but ask

(04:50):
yourself why?
That's the bigger question andthe bigger driving force.
The bigger question and thebigger driving force, which is
why I tell people that how youlook is so temporary, it's
fleeting right those moments.
Every couple years, our bodieschange and if we're so

(05:10):
hyper-focused on what we looklike, there's going to be a lot
of unhappiness.
What I looked like 20 years ago, 10 years ago, even five years
ago, and y'all, cancer treatmentdid a number on my body.
Now I am super proud of who Iam, I'm super proud of what I

(05:35):
look like, but, more importantly, I am super proud of the human
being that I am and the impactthat I choose to make.
So let's get on a path to innerpeace.
Let's release judgment ofourselves, of others, let's be

(06:00):
fully present, let's live inmoments of being unguarded and
authentic and let's discovertrue freedom and the power of
liberation, self-liberation,love, health and happiness, and

(06:20):
always much respect.
