Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to
Endorphasmic, where we talk
about all things Endorphasm.
I am your hostess, Erica Porter.
Welcome back to theEndorphasmic podcast, the place
where we embrace the feeling, push past limits and connect
with ourselves on a deeper levelwith ourselves on a deeper
(00:24):
level.
I'm Erica Porter and I am sograteful you're here today.
Whether it's cold, hot, snowingor raining, where you are, I
hope you're finding the joy inthis day and moving your body,
because movement isn't justabout fitness.
It's about connection, energyand gratitude.
(00:48):
And today I have some excitingnews to share with you Some
reflections on overcomingadversity and a little insight
into where the Endorphasm brandis headed next.
So let's dive in Finding joy inevery day.
(01:10):
I always say that life isn'tabout waiting for the storm to
pass.
It's about learning to dance inthe rain, and I truly believe
that.
Wherever you are, however youfeel, today I want to remind you
to take a moment for yourself,to move your body, to take a
(01:30):
deep breath and appreciatewhat's in front of you, and I
feel that gratitude shiftseverything.
It changes how we see ourstruggles, how we process
challenges and how we embracejoy, and sometimes it's the
simplest things a moment offresh air, a great workout, a
(01:55):
conversation that sparksinspiration.
So today I challenge you tofind one thing to be grateful
for.
Say it out loud.
I believe in saying it out loudbecause that energy fuels
everything that we do.
So a huge announcement Our book.
(02:18):
Let's talk about something I'vekind of been keeping under wraps
for a while, but I'm thrilledto announce that Carlo and I are
collaborating on a nonfictionbook.
This book is something trulyspecial.
It is our stories interwovenabout love, adversity,
(02:41):
inspiration and the fire thatfuels us.
And Carlo is an incrediblewriter and, for me, I'm much
more of a face-to-facecommunicator.
So, stepping into the world ofwriting.
Obviously I wrote Eat thatMonkey.
Now is the Time to Change myLife, but very different, not
(03:01):
not a uh, it wasn't me beingvulnerable in in my writing, it
was just very factualinformation that I was writing.
So, very different.
So stepping out of my comfortzone, which I think is something
important to do.
But wow, I feel like it's beenworth it and I think it's going
(03:24):
to be worth it.
We've spent the better part ofprobably a year crafting our own
short chapters about lifelessons, love, each other, the
endorphasm, our cancer journey, our cancer journey.
(03:47):
Every word, every story, everyexperience woven together to
create something that I believespeaks to anyone looking for
motivation, resilience andconnection to self.
So, whether you're a fitnessenthusiast, someone seeking
inspiration or just looking tofeel more connected to your own
journey, I believe that thisbook will be for you, and the
(04:09):
best part is well, the best partis writing it together and
reading each of our ownperspectives on a lot of the
journey that we've been ontogether, as we've been together
for almost 30 years.
But we'll be pitching it toagents in the coming months.
(04:31):
I think it's going to be nervewracking but exciting, and I
truly cannot wait to see how theworld receives our words, and I
think that it's an honor toshare our stories, and I'm so
proud of what we've created sofar.
We still have some flushing outof things.
(04:53):
Carlo's looking at me now as hewalks by, like what are you
talking about?
But I also want to talk aboutexpanding the Endorphasm
lifestyle.
But wait, that's not all.
Endorphasm is evolving, just aspeople need to constantly be
(05:14):
evolving.
The Endorphasm brand is alsoevolving, and we've been hard at
work behind the scenes onsomething that takes this
movement beyond just workoutsand a mindset.
It is a full on lifestyle, andwe're exploring a potential
(05:35):
endorphasm retail project, Onethat I feel embodies everything
that this brand represents, Onethat I feel embodies everything
that this brand representsstrength, movement, energy and
embracing the endorphismexperience in all aspects of
life, but, of course, keepingtrue to kind of that edgy um
endorphism I mean, it's a sexyword.
(05:57):
We understand what it means.
Some people don't want to sayit, but, as you know, asthma is
the root of anything intense.
We are all here as the resultof some kind of asthma, so don't
be shy about it.
And we know what an endorphinis, An endorphin rush in the
(06:18):
most asthmic way possible.
Imagine walking into a space, feeling that energy, being
surrounded by a community thatlives and breathes this fire
within them.
That's what we're working on.
It's all about connectionthrough movement, through
community and through the way welive every single day.
(06:43):
So, as I wrap up today's episode, I want to leave you with this
Keep moving, keep pushing andkeep embracing the joy of this
journey of life.
