Leon Goltsman (00:01):
Welcome back
everybody to Engaging
Conversations.
I'm Leon Goltsman and todaywe're celebrating a little
milestone our 10th episode.
I can hardly believe we're hereand it's been such a rewarding
journey.
I want to take this opportunityto reflect on what we've
accomplished, the connectionswe've made and where we're
headed next made and where we'reheaded next Now.
(00:28):
One of the things I love mostabout this podcast is that it's
given me a privilege of sittingdown with a wide range of people
, each bringing their ownstories, wisdom and experiences.
I've learned a lot about theart of listening, really
listening and engaging on adeeper level than just the words
themselves.
It's about understanding what'sbeneath the surface, what
drives people and the valuesthat motivate them to make a
(00:48):
difference.
While it's easy these days tostay behind screens, email or
social media, hosting engagingconversations has brought me
back to face-to-faceinteractions.
I'm reminded every day thattrue connections don't just
happen through likes and sharesalone.
It happens through realconversations, those moments
(01:09):
where people feel heard andempowered to share their
journeys.
I get to ask questions thatmatter, but, more importantly, I
get to provide a platform forothers to share what matters to
them.
Today's episode is a bit of aconfession, a chance to reflect.
This journey has reminded mehow crucial it is to reach out
(01:32):
to people, to take a step backfrom the daily hustle and
appreciate the simple yetprofound value of interacting
with a diverse range of voices.
And whilst social media has itsperks, what we're doing here
isn't just about getting likesor followers.
It's about understanding ourcommunity.
It's about learning fromindividuals who work tirelessly
(01:54):
to lift others up, and that'swhat makes every guest here so
special.
And as I look back, I realizethat one thing all our guests
share is a willingness to gothat extra mile.
They're not just chasingpersonal success.
Their success is about helpingothers lead better, richer, more
meaningful lives, and that'swhat I admire most about the
people I've had the honor tospeak with.
(02:16):
Their achievements aren't justmeasured in numbers or titles,
but by the lives they've touched.
You know, along the way, I'vealso had the chance to weave in
some principles from my ownbooks Engaging Conversations and
Referral Mastery, and soonBeyond the Brand will join the
lineup.
Each of these books is aboutreaching people, understanding
what makes us unique andcreating a lasting impact in a
(02:39):
busy world.
Every episode of this podcasthas its unique flavor, just like
each of you who tunes in you.
Our listeners, are what makesthis journey worthwhile, and I'm
grateful for every message, every piece of feedback and all
the support you've shared alongthe way.
So, from myself and everyonehere at Ecolibrium Headquarters,
a huge thank you.
(03:00):
Thank you for not justlistening, but for being part of
our growing community.
It's your voices, your thoughtsand your feedback that makes us
going and inspire us to bringyou conversations that matter.
Reflecting on these principles,I realized the most valuable
takeaway is that even the smallgestures a smile, a kind word, a
(03:21):
hello to a stranger can be sopowerful.
Smile, a kind word, a hello toa stranger can be so powerful.
These small moments canbrighten somebody's day, maybe
even change a life, and isn'tthat a beautiful thought.
We all have that power.
I once heard a saying thatthose who save a life save the
world, and it's true.
Sometimes your kindness couldbe the one thing that makes all
the difference to somebody else, and as our network grows, I'm
(03:44):
thrilled to see how it bringspeople together who inspire one
another.
Yes, we're here to connect andlearn, but true success comes
from when we all show up, giveit our best and encourage one
another to keep moving forward.
Over the past weeks, we have hadsome incredible guests, from
Maria Martin at Survivors Are Usto the team at Parkinson's New
(04:05):
South Wales, john Jones fromDerby Street Pharmacy and many
others.
If you missed any of thoseepisodes, I encourage you to go
back and listen.
They're full of wisdom andwarmth.
In the coming weeks, I'm alsoexcited to bring on even more
amazing guests community leaders, visionaries and changemakers
(04:25):
from parliament to local council, business owners and everyday
heroes making a difference.
We'll even be exploring theexciting developments happening
right here in our own backyard, such as Trinity Point at Lake
Macquarie.
They're creating incredibleopportunities for local jobs and
boosting our economy, turningour regions into a destination
(04:47):
that benefits both residents andtourists alike.
It's these kinds of initiativesthat are reshaping our
community, and I can't wait toshare more about them.
I'd also like to hear more aboutwhat interests you, our
listeners, so reach out.
