Welcome to the second episode of Enhanced Senses Podcast! I am so excited to share Brian Stanton’s story. Brian’s work building Psychetheatrics reflects his own healing journey with the transformative power of acting and theater.
Brian Stanton was born, adopted and raised in Kansas City, Brian Stanton currently makes his living as a stage actor based in Los Angeles. He received his MFA in Acting at California Institute of the Arts. Beyond theatre, Stanton recently received a Certificate for Psychedelic-Informed Practice, Harm Reduction and Integration from Psychedelics Today’s Vital Education Program.
Theatrically, Stanton is most known for his award-winning, original solo play BLANK and his award-winning, original film @ghostkingdom (pronounced “at ghost kingdom”), two personal pieces exploring the complicated & emotional truths of his adoption experience.
Witnessing the healing and transformative power of the theatre in this light as well as his personal vested interest in the psychedelic community, Stanton was inspired to bridge the worlds of theatre and psychedelic therapy with his business Psychetheatrics where he plans to offer holistic acting workshops as a creative means for personal development.
