Peter Vox, a retired school teacher and professional musician from New York, long battled anxiety and depression. From inside the four walls of one of five different psych wards, he wrote the book ,"The Psych Ward Notes: Surviving Anxiety & Depression," which chronicles his mental health journey and recovery, which he says is always an ongoing journey. In this episode, Peter talks about finding healing from within a psych ward through therapeutic writing and finding purpose after three different suicide attempts. He is now a certified specialist in mental health and an advocate for people with mental illness. This show aims to address mental health head-on, challenge ongoing mental health stigma, and help others find their own life purposes and passions, in their own ways. | ABOUT PETER: Hear a preview of "The Psych Ward Notes" here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gY8uawZroc&ab_channel=DWMvideos and follow Peter here on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/peter.vox5150 | CONTACT INFO:  Can’t get enough of Enough-ism?
