get our free Ultimate MovingAbroad checklist.
Where you can learn more aboutall of these different steps and
make sure that you are actuallyready and prepared and ready to
go and make that move you'vebeen dreaming about for some
(01:26):
time.
So tip number one is you do notneed to wait until life is
perfect.
People think, you know, I haveto be ready.
I have to pay all my, all mytaxes and my bills and this and
that.
I have to get my entire life inAmerica.
Somehow wrapped up with a nice.
Bow tie before I leave.
And that's just, it's a myth.
(01:47):
Like it's impossible to actuallydo, uh, yes.
You know, you, you might want toprepare a few things and make
sure you're not just half-assingthe move.
Sure.
But things are never gonna getperfect.
No time is ever going to feelright.
We have people reaching out tous every single day that missed
opportunities.
Like the Golden Visa program inPortugal where they could get a
Portuguese visa through realestate investment.
(02:09):
They missed that.
They said, okay, what can we do?
We, we don't wanna make thatsame mistake again, and now
they're coming to Mexico.
There's a lot of people whomissed out on even immigrating
to Mexico when it was easierwhen you could literally just
have an expired tourist visa andcome here and, and pay a, you
know, few hundred dollars to alawyer and like a thousand
dollars of fees roughly.
(02:29):
You get a, a residence visa thatyou can then turn into
permanent, that then couldbecome a passport here without
having to qualify through incomeor anything else.
They miss that opportunity.
Every single client that we workwith says one thing, which is, I
wish I did it sooner.
So do not hesitate.
You do not need to wait untillife is perfect.
And by the way, if you'relooking for help right now,
(02:49):
you're like, you know what?
I wanna do this.
Uh, I've got enough to qualify.
Let's say for an investment visaor to qualify through financial
means, maybe you've got amillion dollars in net worth or
more, and you're like, you knowwhat?
I don't want to deal with any ofthe bs.
I just want it completelyhandled for me.
Then go to entrepreneurexpat.com/consult because you
can talk directly with myself ormy team, and we can help you
(03:10):
figure out every single littledetail.
Tip number two is you likelyqualify for a visa, even if you
think that you don't.
There's ways of qualifying forvisas through income, through
savings, through retirement.
Sometimes there's even countriesthat have digital nomad visas
where you just have to show alittle bit of income coming in
every month from foreignclients.
(03:30):
Even if you don't think that youqualify yet.
Maybe something like remoteincome unlocks the door and
maybe.
Even if you don't have thatremote income yet, you're at a
job or something else, there arevery easy ways to build a remote
income stream.
Which brings us to the nextpoint, which is number three.
Making money online is a loteasier than you think.
Amanda, my wife and I have hadso many, uh, experiences in
(03:55):
different industries makingmoney through freelancing,
through con consulting, throughremote jobs, through online
businesses, and we've helpedhundreds and hundreds of people
all around the world, especiallyin the us, Canada, Australia,
places like that.
Build remote income streamscompletely remote.
They can be done from anywhere.
This isn't like a, Hey, you'regonna have a six figure business
tomorrow kind of thing.
But over the next three to sixmonths, you can absolutely have
(04:16):
an income stream that qualifiesfor a lot of these residency
visa programs.
You don't have to be aninfluencer.
You don't have to have to learnto code.
In fact, chat gpt is alreadygetting pretty good at code.
But all you have to do is helpidentify a problem that somebody
has and solve that problem.
And a lot of these people willbecome your clients and work
with you no matter where you arein the world.
You can run an agency, uh, youcan obviously start a YouTube
(04:38):
channel and, and sell servicesthat way and get sponsorships,
but that's not the only way.
There are so many ways to makemoney online and qualify via
remote income.
Tip number four is you will makemistakes.
Everybody makes mistakes.
I make mistakes every day.
Uh, it's nothing to be ashamedabout.
It's totally okay.
Maybe you go to the wrongcountry.
You, you know, you go to some, somewhere for six months, even
(05:00):
get a visa there and you say,you know what?
I don't really like it here.
It's not my vibe.
Well, guess what?
You've already learned somethingabout a new country.
You've enriched your life bylearning about a new people,
maybe learning a new language.
You've made your life better.
You've become a morewell-rounded person.
It's totally fine.
You're gonna have bad, badlandlords.
You're gonna have, you're gonnaprobably have to invest like we
(05:21):
have here, or in our last placeto fix a couple little
electrical issues in yourMexican.
You know, otherwise, dream home,uh, you're probably gonna have
someone.
That, you know, doesn't, uh,treat you well as a tenant even
though you pay your bills ontime.
Like, that's fine.
It's normal anywhere in theworld, right?
Um, but at the end of the day, they're all problems that can be
solved.
You can get a new place, you canmove somewhere else.
And by the way, you're gonnahave the same issues in the US
(05:42):
or wherever you're from, right?
And there's gonna be culturalhiccups.
You can't figure out everything.
You're gonna make mistakes.
It's all part of the story, andyou can always adjust.
And relocation isn't, is, isn'tpermanent.
It's flexible.
So let's say that you get the,the soft skills now to be able
to live somewhere else, you canapply those same skills that you
learn and then the next countryis gonna be easier.
(06:03):
The next country is gonna beeasier.
It always gets easier.
And tip number five, don'toverlook the paperwork.
Sometimes people miss thingslike apostles, health insurance,
proof of income.
That are necessary to qualifyfor a Visa.
And I even had an issue wherethe first time I went on my own
and tried to qualify for aMexican visa, I actually got
denied because the consulatethat I went to did not like the
type of paperwork I presented.
(06:24):
They didn't want business bankstatements.
They only wanted to see personalincome statements and.
I had to go to a differentconsulate, and it's totally
fine.
This is the value of thechecklist, by the way.
That's why we created it so thatabsolutely nothing slips through
the cracks.
So we're gonna include a link tothat checklist right below this
