Jeff Umbro had a successful podcast, but he couldn’t get a job at a podcast company–so he decided to create his own. Jeff is the founder of The Podgolmerate, a company that produces, distributes, and monetizes podcasts. He went from not getting hired to now running his business with nine full-time employees, representing anywhere from 70 to 80 shows at a time, and having been profitable since 2018. He’s grateful he took the leap of faith but the first couple of years were rough and lessons were learned, like how to hire the right people, figuring out how to make use of his greatest strengths, and creating different streams of revenue. Jeff also discusses working through decision fatigue and delegating tasks–while trying not to delegate as much in his personal life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
