June is National Foster Appreciation Month, and in this month's episode of EPAS Unleashed, we chat with our Foster Coordinator, Valentin Garcia about all-things fostering! All your foster questions are answered here, and learn a bit about how this program came to be.
Thank you to all of the amazing people that open their homes to a shelter pet in need!
About Valentin Garcia
Valentin joined El Paso Animal Services about thirteen years ago when he started as an Animal Care Attendant. He worked his way up through the department through various divisions, including Animal Protection and Operations, before becoming our Foster Coordinator in 2016. Valentin helped build the Foster program from being just a handful of staff taking home bottle-fed kittens at the end of the night, to a program that organizes and oversees over 2,000 animals in foster care.

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
