Taos artist Kimberly Webber’s paintings are meditations on the sacred vision of dreams, the mystery, power and magic of the natural world and the realms of the archetypes who reside in our collective consciousness. Her works can be described as contemporary symbolist paintings; modern magical realism rooted in antiquity.
ENDANGERED is a new series of evolutionary oil paintings honoring the natural world, medicine animals and the spirit of the archetypes. Wild species are highlighted including cheetah, snow leopard, wolf, rhino, tiger and owl. The animals and birds have carried frequencies of wisdom and medicine throughout the ages. They bring gifts of prophecy, healing and magic to humanity. The archetypes have also served humanity since time immemorial with messages for awakening and activation, in both personal and collective awareness. The new work features archetypal figures, medicine animals and birds in large format paintings. The work reveals majestic wild and endangered species intertwined with luminous divine feminine archetypes. Pure powdered earth pigments transmit healing frequencies through their original analog resonance. Age-old alchemical techniques and cutting edge bio-photonic painting practice are woven together to produce light responsive works that breath and change throughout the day. Each painting is a prayer and a call to action.
