12 Dopo aver lavato i piedi ai discepoli, Gesù si rimise il mantello, si sedette di nuovo a tavola, poi chiese: «Capite ciò che ho fatto? 13 Voi mi chiamate Maestro e Signore, e fate bene, perché è vero. 14 Dunque se io, Signore e Maestro, ho lavato i piedi a voi, anche voi dovete lavarveli a vicenda. 15 Vi ho dato un esempio da seguire: fate altrettanto. 16 Un servo non è più importante del suo padrone, né un fattorino di chi lo ha mandato. 17 Voi sapete dunque queste cose, ora mettetele in pratica! È questa la strada per ricevere benedizioni!
