Shure MV7 (00:00):
You wake up every day, rushing into the same routine.
Work emails, meetings, deadlines.
You yourself you'll chase thosedreams someday, but someday
isn't a date on your calendar.
And I hate to tell you this, but yourlife calendar has an expiry date.

(00:23):
when was the last time you reflected?
On the fact you're going to die.
Not a fleeting thought, but truly acknowledged it.
It's not depressing.
It's liberating.
Because when we acknowledgedeath, we gain a sense of control.
Life is finite.

(00:44):
And every day we spend in acareer that doesn't fulfil us,
is a day we'll never get back.
A famous study showed that two of thebiggest regrets people shared at the
end of their lives were not about money, status, or even career achievements.
It was these.
One, I wish I hadn't worked so hard.

(01:07):
And two, I wish I'd had the courageto live a life true to myself, not
the life others expected of me.
Let that sink in.
If you're stuck in a jobthat doesn't light you up.
If you're ignoring the pull towardssomething more meaningful, what
is going to be the end result?
Will your life and career bea source of pride or regret?

(01:33):
This Sunday, we're going to reflecton the key lesson from this week.

The things you'd like toachieve before it's too late.

(02:52):
What are the things you'll regret on yourdeathbed if you stay in your current job?

(03:17):
What is the one thing you can dotoday to step towards your dream
career and avoid a life of regret?

(03:45):
That's the end of this week's reflection.
I'll leave you with this quotefrom Steve Jobs before he died.
Remembering that I'll be deadsoon is the most important tool
I've ever encountered to help memake the big choices in my life.
Because almost everything, all externalexpectations, all pride, all fear of

(04:08):
embarrassment or failure, these thingsjust fall away in the face of death,
leaving only what's truly important.
