(00:00):
Ding.

(00:16):
Welcome back to edff. It's ding, and we're going to continue our
wide receiver discussion fromthe other night. We're going to
look at wide receivers 21through 40 in general. There's
going to be some big changesfrom last year. A lot of guys
who were in the 21 through 40slots are not going to be there
this year. Going to be somecrazy ones that I'm going to
talk about. There's going to besome guys who definitely drop,

(00:36):
some guys who rise again. We'relooking at potential
opportunity. And just, you know, keep in mind a lot of the guys
within this 21 through 40, theycan move. So don't get your
heart set on one, or don't getall bent up out of shape,
because somebody's at 32 and youshould be at like, 25 believe
me, the difference between theseguys and this ranking structure
of 21 through 40 is like, maybe10 to 15 points. A lot of these

(00:58):
guys are very equal. So ifthere's somebody you like to
root for, someone you believe inmore and you want to take them
the go ahead and take them. Justmake sure you don't overpay for
his ADP. Like, if it's somebodywho normally goes in, like, the
10th, 12th round, I have Thielenin here, by the way. You know,
spoiler alert, he goes in the15th round. I wouldn't take him.
You know, numbers 21, through40, those guys normally go, you

(01:19):
know, somewhere in theneighborhood of the rounds, five
through nine, five through 10.
So don't go taking Thielen herein these rounds. Go grab
somebody else that you reallywant, and then wait on Thielen.
Just an example. Let's jumpright in. Let's talk about
number 21 and I already knowthere's going to be a lot of
grumblings over my list, butthat's okay. Like I said, a lot
can happen in this range. AndNumber 21 I have Tyree kill

(01:39):
quarterback plays an issue.
Injuries are an issue. He'salready got an oblique injury.
His attitude is an issue. He hasthe potential to blow up. He has
the potential to be a top 15,top 10. He's done it before.
Question mark is tua. Can hestay healthy? We saw what
happened last year. If tua isnot healthy, Hill's not going to

(02:00):
perform. Lot of upside here.
Great pick at 21 remember, though Hill is going in the
third round, so if you're goingto grab him, then you're going
to have to get him in the thirdround. All right. Number 22 I
have Cooper cup. I think he hasa resurgence back in Seattle.
He's healthy, 100 targets, ninetouchdowns. I think that's a
very real possibility with a newquarterback in Seattle. GSN, on
the other side, I think at 22 isreally solid for him. At 23 I

(02:23):
have DK Metcalf. I think histargets are going to increase by
like 50% I think he's going tosee 150 targets, three or four
extra touchdowns. He's got oneof the easiest schedules out
there. It's a no brainer that DKpaired with Aaron Rodgers is a
win. Win. I just hope that thecoach sees it that way. Because,
you know, the Steelers, theylike to run the ball a lot. And

(02:45):
number 24 I have Harrison. Lastyear, he didn't do so well.
Second year, I'm hoping he has alittle bit more of a breakout.
He has command of all thetargets. Besides McBride, it's
really about Murray getting himthe ball. Second year with
Murray, I think he's got a lotmore confidence. He's going to
run the routes a little bitcrisp. Little bit crisper. I
just hope that Murray can get inthe ball. It was just
disappointing last year to seeMurray overthrow him constantly.

(03:07):
All right, number 25 now this isgoing to be the comeback Player
of the Year. There's gonna beshocker. I have Stefan Diggs
now. I like Drake May I thinkhe's gonna have a breakout year.
I think he's gonna make top 12maybe, you know, top 10
potential quarterback. I knowthat sounds crazy, but I think
he does, and Diggs is gonna bethe reason for that. He looks
healthy. I know he came off abig injury, and usually guys who

(03:29):
really blow out their knees likethat, I stay away from them, but
he looks healthy right now. AndI think he has a great chance.
He's a competitor, a warrior outthere, and he still has great
speed, so I'd like to see digshere at 25 number 26 I have DJ
Moore. Now, I'm not a fan of anyof the players on Chicago. I
normally like to stay away fromhim, but you can't deny the fact

(03:52):
that DJ Moore, he gets themajority of the targets. I don't
think a dunzies second year isgoing to be any kind of
breakout. I know Luther Burtoncame in. He looks good, but it's
still DJ Moore. He's going toget all the targets he does. He
just doesn't get a lot oftouchdowns. And that's his
problem. That's why he's in thisrange. That preseason game was a
joke. You know, 3038 points, everyone's like, Oh, the bears

(04:14):
are going to be amazing. No,they're not. Caleb Williams is
terrible. The fact that I haveDJ Moore here, it's part of the
business at 27 and 28 I'm gonnalump these two together. I have
teammates, AJ Brown and DevontaSmith. Now I will say that AJ
Brown, he's battling a softtissue issue, so I think, you
know, Devonta Smith could be asafer play here, but they say,
or at least I anticipate, bothof these guys will be healthy.

(04:37):
The problem is they don't seemore than 100 targets, and they
don't play full seasons, eitherof them. So really, take your
pick. I mean, AJ, unbelievableplayer, there's no question. But
he needs to stay healthy, and healready has soft tissue
injuries. Devonta, he's healthy.
So, you know, depends on howyou're looking at it. They have
a bottom half strength ofschedule and one of their high

(04:59):
scoring.
Games, which is going to beagainst Washington. They lose
that in week 18. So that's kindof why they're down here, if
you're asking yourself thatquestion. And number 29 it's
Garrett Wilson. I already knowwhat you're going to say.
Garrett Wilson was a top 10 lastyear. Yes, he was. I think he
loses 20% of his targets. Let'stalk about why Justin fields is

(05:20):
a train wreck as a quarterback.
He's an excellent runner withthe ball. He looks at his first
read, and then he's gone. Yousee it in the preseason? Let's
talk about the preseason for asecond. Garrett Wilson over four
on balls from Justin fields, because Justin fields has no
accuracy. Six games last year,Justin fields. What did he do?
He averaged 200 yards or lessand one passing touchdown.

(05:43):
That's his quarterback stats.
Yeah, he ran the ball a lot, butthat doesn't help out. Garrett
Wilson. This pick is purely anopportunity and potential, but
I'm telling you right now,Wilson is going to be upset that
fields is his quarterback. Idon't care if they win games.
Remember, Pittsburgh went sixand oh and this guy barely threw

(06:03):
the ball 20 to 30 attempts pergame. That's not gonna get
Wilson 150 targets. He's gonnaget 100 targets at best, which
is why he drops into this range.
You know him, right? CalvinRidley is number 30. I know
that's crazy. He's got a brandnew quarterback, but you know,
Ward looks like he's not afraidto sling the ball. He's going to
command the targets. Yes, rookiequarterback, that's why he's

(06:24):
number 30 but Ridley is still avery talented wide receiver, and
I think there's an opportunityfor him to be right here in the
middle. At 31 I have Z flowers.
His downside is the fact that hedoesn't get a whole lot of
touchdowns. Why? I mean, Henryand Jackson, they take them all.
I mean, let's face it, that, Imean, that makes sense. That's
why they make it to the AFCChampionship. A lot. He does get

(06:47):
about 100 to 120 targets. If hegot a couple more touchdowns,
that would put him solidly atnumber 31 where I have him at
number 32 I have Jennings fromSan Francisco. Now, I know his
injury is a big question mark, taking a risk here, hoping that
he's going to be ready for theseason. If you get a full season
from Jennings, he's going togive you 1415, points a game,

(07:07):
which is actually out playingthis number of 32 I mean,
seriously, that's a really goodnumber, but it's a high risk
play. So if you want to get someexposure to San Francisco, he's
a great target. If CMC ishealthy. Yeah, his numbers will
be dropping, but I don't thinkCMC is going to be healthy. And
if you listen to my running backshow, you know that, all right?

(07:27):
And number 33 Jennings oldteammate, I have debo Samuel.
Yes, I know he's going toWashington, and that's where
McLaurin is, but McLaren's donea plan, and they're going to
figure out ways to get debo theball. You know, it's a good
backup. If McLaurin ends up notsigning, then debo really jumps.
So this is one of those highrisk plays that you could go
with. I think he still gonna get100 touches on the season.

(07:49):
Really comes down to how manytouchdowns he gets, and that's
why he's at 33 and number 34 Ihave Rasheed rice. I don't like
this at all. I think the guy'sprobably going to jail. He's
going to get suspended, forsure. This is just a high risk.
I'm staying away from it ontalent alone, even if he gets
suspended a couple of games.
This is where he is. I don'tthink mahomes can hit him

(08:11):
anymore. I really don't. Mahomesaccuracy on the deep ball is
terrible. He couldn't hit worthylast year, even when were these
wide open? I don't think he canhit Rasheed rice either, and
that's why were these not evenin this list, the number 35 I
have the new rookie golden atGreen Bay. He's really the only
wide receiver that's healthy. Ilike Reed a lot, but love can't

(08:34):
hit him. Christian Watson isout. Dobbs, I think, is nursing
something, but he's in, he'sout. I mean, you know how I feel
about Jordan. Love, he can hitthe broadside of a barn. That's
why Jacobs gets 330 touches thisseason. Love just cannot hit
anybody but this Matthew goldenkid. He's good underneath. He's
got good hands. He can stretchthe field. I think love can hit

(08:57):
this kid. That's why he's at 35oh, by the way, that's the first
Green Bay receiver at 35 andthey're thinking that Green Bay
is going to win the NFC North at36 I have igbuka, the rookie in
Tampa Bay, so two rookies rightnext to each other. I actually
like igbuka better than golden, but from an opportunity
standpoint, somebody's going toCommand targets immediately.

(09:17):
Golden is there? Igbuka, they'regoing to manufacture touches. I
think he moves into the slotposition and he takes over
Godwin's targets right away. Idon't know if Godwin comes back
this season. I really don'tthink he will. I don't think he
plays at all, and that givesIbuka a real opportunity here
to, you know, get 100 targetsand a few touchdowns. He's high

(09:38):
upside. You could see himfinishing in the top 25 at 37
here's Adam Thielen we alreadytalked about on a little bit
before his injury, last season,he was averaging ready for this
six catches for 60 yards and atouchdown per game. I want that
in my starting lineup if he canstay healthy this.

(10:00):
Is an amazing pick at 37 at 38 Ihave keen and Allen reunited and
feel so good, right? I mean, seriously, he's gonna get about
100 targets. It's really comingdown to his touchdowns here. I
think he's a great red zonetarget. That was something they
were missing last year. There'salready an injury to Quentin
Johnson, so between him andMcConkey, who have similar skill

(10:20):
sets. I think they both see atleast 100 targets a piece, and
that's really solid for KennyAllen, and he finished in this
range last year with the sameamount of targets. At 39 I have
my first buffalo receiver, andthat's Shakir, and I don't
really like it, because he's notall that healthy. I'm really
worried about him. I think hestill has that injury. They're
saying, Oh, we expected him tobe ready for week one. I have

(10:42):
him in here because if he'shealthy, this is the guy you're
going to want to grab. And Iknow everyone's talking about
Ken Coleman as the breakout, andI want to see that too. I think
that kid has a lot of talent, but he has the dropsies we all
know this Shakir is that, youknow that nice, warm blanket
that Alan always looks at. Soit's a high running team. Allen
always takes all the touchdowns.
So it really comes down to canShakir get six to eight

(11:04):
touchdowns? We'll see, and thenrounding it out at number 40. I
hate this pick. I'm just goingto tell you right off the bat,
but there's a lot of upsidepotential here, and it's a
lobby. After getting hurt lastseason, he's kind of an injury,
but now he's back. She he'dmight actually get more
touchdowns in this kid, but heis technically the alpha on New
Orleans. I think New Orleans hasa terrible season. The two

(11:27):
rookie quarterbacks, they justcan't hit the broad side of a
barn. Can they hit this talltarget? I hope so. I could see
him falling out of the top 40. Icould see him popping five,
maybe even seven spots here, depending on his usage. And
again, that's the whole point, isn't it? In this particular
range, anything can happen, andthat's why I recommend if you're

(11:47):
in this range, plus or minusfive, and it's someone you like
to root for. They're on yourteam, they're not injured, they
have a pretty decent schedule, some of the things that we've
already talked about, then goget that guy. Just make sure
that you don't overpay for himbased on his ADP. I mean, some
of these guys, like golden he'sgoing in the ninth round.
Pearsall, I didn't even talkabout that guy. Great hands.

(12:09):
He's going to be somebody, buthe's not going to see 100
touches, not this season, not,in my opinion, a DUNS, he's
going in the sixth round. Idon't even have him in this top
40. There's all kinds of issueshere. If you want somebody in
this range, then get them whenit makes sense. And if you
really want them, if you need topay up a little bit, then go
ahead and get them. Butremember, the total number of

(12:31):
points you would expect fromsomebody in this range is plus
or minus 20 throughout theentire range of the 21 to 40.
Look at bye weeks. That'sanother thing to look at. How
does this impact the bye weeksof say, your top two wide
receivers? Is it a good fill in?
Is it going to be a conflict?
That's the kind of thing you'relooking for in 21 through 40,
somebody you like, somebody'sgoing to give you those points.

(12:54):
Good bye week replacement, nothurt with a good quarterback,
all of those good things thatdoes it for the show tonight,
and as always, we're gonna givea shout out to the men and women
in uniform who protect thefreedoms that we hold dear.
