(00:25):
Through numerous conversationswith guests in this first
series, through my own personalinsights, observations and
reflections, Eternal Paradigmhas been asking some big
questions and so have all theguests who have joined me.
My name is Ermi.
And I have been the host.
(00:46):
Are you ready to join me on thisjourney?
Welcome to series one.
This is the roundup episode.
I invite you to listen to thesequestions and spend time
answering.
Answer the ones that reallyresonate with you.
Feel ready to explore.
Be open.
(01:08):
Be curious.
Be inquisitive.
And it's okay if you don't knowthe answers.
That's what makes
SPEAKER_07 (01:21):
you human.
SPEAKER_15 (01:50):
Natalie Constante.
SPEAKER_06 (01:53):
What would you do if
you can work in something that
you fulfill the most?
How would you contribute to theworld and how does it help you
to achieve all your goals?
Amanda
SPEAKER_15 (02:06):
Bonfito.
SPEAKER_10 (02:07):
Yeah, actually, this
might be a good point to
mention.
I'm kind of working on theconcept for a podcast of my own,
and it's going to be called ThisWon't Break You.
And what I really want to knowabout is the hard stuff we go
through and how it doesn't haveto break you and how do people
(02:29):
process through it in such a waythat they can continue to live
fully and not shut down.
So I would love for everyone tothink about the hard stuff and
how it helps them thrive in someway
SPEAKER_15 (02:41):
maria adriana
SPEAKER_13 (02:44):
oh that's the most
gorgeous question a question
asking a question
SPEAKER_08 (02:48):
wow
SPEAKER_13 (02:50):
you're brilliant
you're just
SPEAKER_08 (02:52):
your wonder never
never ends i
SPEAKER_13 (02:55):
love it yes okay
okay so the question the
question i have to you Belovedlistener, beloved listener,
thank you for listening.
Thank you for being here.
I invite you to play with thisquestion.
What would you do?
What would you think?
What would you feel?
(03:15):
What would you be if you alwayshonored yourself?
That's the question.
SPEAKER_08 (03:21):
Athena
SPEAKER_13 (03:22):
Crilley.
SPEAKER_08 (03:23):
I mean, I would love
to know whether other people
follow the law of attraction.
That would be really interestingbecause I feel like more and
more people are kind of talkingabout manifestation and reaching
your dreams and your desires.
So do you follow the law ofattraction or is it something
that you've read into?
SPEAKER_15 (03:41):
Karishma Sharma.
SPEAKER_09 (03:43):
Yeah, I think what I
would like to ask is if you were
to continue with how you are, does that make you truly happy?
Are you connected to who youtruly, truly are underneath all
those layers?
Are you connected to the trueyou?
(04:05):
And if you aren't, are youwilling to do the work to get to
the true you?
That is something that I wouldlike to leave with the listeners
because connecting in with whoyou truly are means doing all
the work to release all theselimited beliefs and all this
programming and do a lot of thereprogramming and just really
(04:27):
really getting deep into a lotof stuff that people tend to
want to leave behind so it'sjust something that I like to
get people thinking about is areyou connected with the true you
so yeah that's what I would liketo leave people The
SPEAKER_22 (04:46):
question is, how can
I live the most fulfilled life
that I want to live?
That's the question, you know, like fulfillment.
Like, how can I live the mostfulfilled life that I want to
live?
That's probably the one mostfundamental question.
SPEAKER_15 (04:59):
Okay.
SPEAKER_21 (05:01):
Um...
How feels most natural toexpress yourself creatively?
That's one to think about.
For some people, I'm surethere's an obvious answer, like
music or art or anything.
But for anyone that doesn't havethat, I feel like everyone does
have that.
Some people just haven'tdiscovered it yet.
What do you think?
SPEAKER_14 (05:21):
Question.
Hmm.
A question I would say is, ifyou had a magic wand, And you
have the power to be anywhere,do anything, be anyone.
What would that look like?
Paint that picture with yourwand.
SPEAKER_20 (05:41):
You just begin to
question more in life.
You know, what are we here for?
How come we're here?
How come there's no end to theworld?
How is this even real?
Dr.
SPEAKER_07 (05:52):
Karen Bryson.
(06:21):
I told myself, what do you want?
As you walk down this journey, what do you want?
SPEAKER_15 (06:31):
Ooh,
SPEAKER_05 (06:33):
that's an
interesting one.
I would think the question wouldbe, why do you feel you're not
worthy of it?
And find out the reason why andprove it wrong.
SPEAKER_15 (06:46):
Shamir Bravo
SPEAKER_01 (06:48):
All the big
companies are on it, even the
small cafes, everywhere is onit.
It's on the vegan meals.
Why?
Because customers want it.
That milk that should have goneto that baby calf is going to
you.
Why?
You don't need it.
SPEAKER_15 (07:00):
Tony Dada
SPEAKER_18 (07:02):
The people that are
not able to be fluid and
flexible have their mind set acertain way.
And who's to say that the waythat your mind is set is the
right way or the best way foryour growth?
See, the ability or inability tobe flexible is the problem that
many people find in the West.
SPEAKER_15 (07:18):
Hmm.
SPEAKER_12 (07:23):
Well, you know, it's
very similar to the answer I
gave when Trish asked that onher podcast.
What advice would you give toanybody of any generation for
life or whatever?
And I really would have to saythat I would say to anybody, if
I had their listening ear, haveyou ever considered that you
(07:44):
lived your life and every yearin it and every struggle because
you yourself were supposed toaccumulate the wisdom you need
to go on living and that youhave it?
And have you ever consideredrelying on it a little bit more
and stop looking for the answerseverywhere else.
(08:05):
Start listening to yourself alittle bit.
It would be a challengingquestion because that's kind of
a new concept for people, butyou know, you have, you have
inner wisdom.
We were meant to gleanunderstanding from our
experiences and we were meant tohave them as tools to get us
through.
And I'm all about finding toolselsewhere, but I think we
(08:26):
undervalue the God within.
So find it I guess, challengesomebody to really believe in
themselves that way.
SPEAKER_04 (08:33):
Lucy S.M.
Johnston.
I would say actually probably Ican contextualise that with
lockdown and how it's made methink about things and reassess
life choices and really thedirection of where you want to
go because it has acted like alot of a reset, especially when
(08:54):
you've lost jobs that were kindof paying a certain amount that
you could, you know, is what areyou waiting for?
when will be the right time?
I mean, there's a veryinteresting, I think we touched
on this last time.
And to paraphrase, as quite afew politicians have, including
Ronald Reagan and things likethat, if not me, who?
(09:17):
And if not now, when?
This is actually from itsorigins.
And again, I'm a bit wishy-washyabout this because I haven't
read the background too much ofit.
But it was from Hillel theElder, who was a Jewish leader,
who this actually comes from.
If I am not for myself, who willbe for me?
And being for my own self, whatam I?
(09:38):
And if not now, when?
I got goosebumps.
Yeah, it's a really powerfulquote to think, what are you
waiting for?
If there is a change orsomething that you feel you're
not doing that you want to, Iknow it's very difficult to set
the wheels in motion.
It's quite complex.
But when?
We have this one tranche of lifebefore we become vapour.
(10:02):
What then?
Now you're water, you're liquid.
You can run anywhere.
You can make a new channel torun down.
What channel are you going tolet yourself run down or carve
out through the earth before youevaporate?
Oh,
SPEAKER_11 (10:19):
man.
So I'm going to cheat since I'malso a podcaster and I have a
few closing questions that I usefor my podcast.
My new thing right now is askingpeople, what lights you up?
Because if you really get to theroot of things and think about
what makes you happy, that'swhat the world needs.
The world doesn't need you.
(10:39):
another accountant or dog walkeror all these other things, they
need people who are simply justdoing what makes them freaking
happy.
If you're emulating that lightthat was given to only you, the
things that make you light up,then the whole world is going to
receive that light and warmth.
Nobody's going to ask, well, howdid you get there?
(11:00):
What are you doing to do it?
They're What lights you up?
Dogs light me up, but let's getdeeper than that.
I like also asking the sevenwhys to unfold the depths of
things.
So why do dogs light you up?
Because they're awesomecompanions.
Why are they awesome companions?
And just keep unfolding all theway down to the end of what
(11:24):
truly lights you up and why.
If you're not doing it, do it.
Do the thing is the mostimportant part.
SPEAKER_03 (11:32):
Camilla Miller.
Yes.
You're so right with language oflistening.
It is not only a parentingmodel.
It's a self-coaching model.
The first step, we all say thatall behavior makes sense.
All behavior makes sense.
Even when I was shouting like acomplete lunatic, all behavior
makes sense.
So rather than beating myselfup, thinking, oh my God, I've
(11:53):
got it wrong, is to ask, why amI shouting?
Or why am I behaving in a waythat I don't like?
And when you understand whybehavior makes sense and why
your behavior makes sense, youcan then find another way to get
that need met in a way that youdo like.
And so it all comes back to whyyou could ask yourself, why am I
shouting?
Or why am I, what's showing upthat you don't like in your life
(12:17):
for yourself or for yourchildren?
And ask yourself, why would I dothat?
Or you could ask yourself aquestion based on your child,
which is why would my amazing, gorgeous, wonderful child do
that?
Why does that behavior makesense?
When you come from that place, you come from a place of
curiosity, you come from a placeof finding answers rather than
judgement, rather than labellingourselves or labelling our
(12:40):
children.
And that's when we get to thereal understanding of what is
going on and how to change thatin a way that works for you and
for your child.
It
SPEAKER_16 (12:52):
requires a real
quietening down of the outside
world and for you to tune in towhat is going on inside of you.
What is the experience for you?
And that's where the focus hasto then be, which is quite hard
for people in general, butparticularly if you're somebody
who's very sensitive.
SPEAKER_10 (13:13):
Before, when I was
out with friends, I would always
search for new acquaintances, meeting new people, because I
was always searching forsomething cooler, something
better.
Instead of just being in mycircle with the friends that
actually wanted to go out withme, or be with me, and just
(13:33):
having fun in that situation, Iwas constantly searching for
something better, which meant...
that the people that I was upwith very often felt like I
wasn't present.
And when you try to meet someonein a social setting or
something, that never becomesmore fun or deep than the actual
people who are there who do careabout you.
(13:55):
So I ended up losing on bothsides.
And it's a bit strange that Ihaven't realized that that was
what I was doing and that itwasn't leading anywhere.
Because I kept repeating it forso many years.
And like, why didn't I just stopup and think, okay, this is
actually working.
I'm hurting those people whocare about me and these other
people, they don't really care.
SPEAKER_15 (14:19):
I
SPEAKER_19 (14:23):
guess I would say,
why are we here and what is our
purpose in this world, bothcollectively and individually?
Because I'd say the purpose forus collectively is to learn and
to grow and and then also tolove and experience love, both
in terms of us loving others andbeing able to experience love
(14:48):
from others.
That's sort of the collectivepurpose in life.
But what does that mean forindividual people?
What are you here to learn andgrow about?
And how can you grow andexperience love in your own
personal life?
Where does that lead you interms of your calling as a human
being on earth?
(15:08):
That's maybe what I would ask.
SPEAKER_17 (15:13):
Yes, I would say
this.
I would say, What part ofyourself have you or society
convinced you that you need tocut out or get rid of, eliminate
or suppress in order for you tomove on to create happiness and
be the best you?
Is it fear?
Is it anger?
Is it your past?
People say, oh, you got to leaveyour past behind.
(15:35):
Let go of your pain.
Do you need to let go?
Or maybe you need to let it in.
Maybe you need to integrate it.
Let it into yourself.
That's the question I'll say,and I'll say maybe you should be
a little suspicious of peoplewho tell you that you need to
cut off your arm in order tomove on.
SPEAKER_00 (15:54):
Do I have a question
for the listeners?
Do you know what?
I think I'm going to start withthe question that you asked me.
Who are you?
I guess it's something that Itouched on very briefly, but...
One of the things that I'verealized is like, who are you?
Who are you?
What are you made up of?
If you listed all of yourpersonality traits, the things
(16:19):
you think you are, the storiesof your life, who told you
that's how you are?
How did you come to think thatthat is how life is for you?
And what happens if you droppedall of the personality, all of
the constructs of who you thinkyou are Who are you?
(16:39):
So I guess that's the question.
If you dropped all of theconstructs of your personality
and who you think you are, whoare you?
SPEAKER_02 (16:49):
