What we explore in this episode:
How tarot cards can support and strengthen your spells
Using tarot archetypes to embody qualities you want to call in (e.g., The Empress for nurturing, The Magician for new beginnings)
Choosing cards to set the mood and anchor your intentions
Creating a simple fire ritual for healing, inspired by the Ten of Cups, The Empress, and the Queen of Pentacles
Pictures from the decks I talked about today referenced from left to right:
Ten of Cups — representing community, emotional fulfillment, and shared healing.
The Empress — embodying nurturing, abundance, and gentle growth.
Queen of Pentacles — grounding, comforting, and supportive earth energy.
In today’s episode, I’m diving into the ways tarot can amplify and support spell-work. We explore how to weave tarot cards into your spells to focus your intention, call in specific energies, and deepen your connection to the magic you’re creating.
Tarot doesn’t just help us understand our inner world—it can help us shape it. In spell-work, tarot cards act as powerful focal points for our intentions. Each card carries an archetype, an energy you can call on to support your magic.
Want to invite abundance and nurturing energy? Work with The Empress. Need courage for a fresh start? Turn to The Fool or The Magician.
When woven into your rituals—whether you're lighting a candle, writing intentions, or creating moon water—tarot cards can add clarity, focus, and symbolic depth. Think of them not just as tools, but as allies walking alongside you on your magical path.
Fire Ritual for Healing
What you’ll need:
A small piece of paper
Pen or pencil
A pinch of dried or fresh thyme
A safe container to burn paper (cauldron, fire pit, or fire-safe dish)
Optional: a candle or charcoal disk
Steps:
Write your intention for healing on your piece of paper — this can be for yourself, someone else, or the Earth.
Light your fire safely, focusing on your intention.
Place the paper into the flames and say: "I now send healing to [name/intention]."
As the flames burn, sprinkle in thyme and say: "Time heals all wounds. May this time heal [your intention]."
Visualize the smoke carrying your healing energy where it’s needed, and thank any guides, ancestors, or elements supporting you.
Today's Tarot Pull:
Daily Pull from The Desert Illuminations Tarot by Lindsay D. Williams, I pulled The King of Chiles (reversed). This reminds us that our creative and fiery energy might be low right now, and that’s okay. It’s an invitation to rest, heal, and nurture ourselves before stepping boldly forward again.
