My mother, Leslye Layne Russell, was a poet and true creative spirit. She passed away before she published her poetry, and in the months prior to her death, I promised to publish and share her work. Here it is!!!

82 Days of Poetry has been created with honor and deep respect for my mom, and all these poems were written and compiled prior to her passing in 2018. I am simply reading her poetic lines! We, as a family, own and reserve the rights to her amazing work.
"sun-caught" is a haiku, and "I Am" is a longer poem. I love the way they go together! It's as if the dragonfly of the first poem helps us to discover who we truly are in the second poem. Enjoy!
