Writer, podcaster, beard icon, and friend to dog-kind, Jason Tabrys, joins us this week for one hell of a conversation. This is our first show recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic and, as such, the conversation weaves in out and of that subject. While on the topic, Jason and Kev chat about the importance of supporting local businesses, especially local comic book stores and game stores.
When trying to avoid the quarantine subject, many of a nerd subject comes up—the Everything is Awesome staples (Kevin Smith, Batman, and Kev crying during The Muppets) are touched on while Jason lets us know what, aside from his loved ones, he would grab in the event of a fire. Jason is also starting a baseball podcast, he shares his love of comedy and late-night, as well as Hudson Hawk. Looking at the clock, Jason and Kev hold off on any Star Wars chatter for this conversation.

Jason is a writer/editor/reformed podcaster with a focus on long-form and interviews. You can find his work on Uproxx, Den of Geek, and Comic Book Resources. Or by checking out his Author page.

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
