These goals act as signposts, guiding us towards becoming the best versions of ourselves.

One of the key ingredients on this path is nurturing a growth mindset. It's about embracing challenges, seeking opportunities for learning, and believing in our ability to evolve. Princeton Clark (00:02):
Welcome to this episode of Evolved Mastery.
I'm your host, princeton Clark,and I'm excited about today's
episode because we're going tobe talking about unlocking your
full potential and I'm going tobe giving you strategies for
personal growth and self mastery.
Guys, I appreciate you guys fortuning into the podcast and
joining me on this journey as weprepare to unleash so many new

(00:25):
topics and so many newdiscussions and interviews.
But today's topic, you knowit's so important.
You know, because a lot ofpeople come into this world and
they're full of potential, butthey struggle to unlock that
potential, you know.
And so we're going to go aheadand dive into this topic today
and I want to be here for a goodtime, as I always say, but not

(00:47):
for a long time.
I just want to give you guyssome valuable strategies for
personal growth and self mastery.
The first topic that we'regoing to be talking about today
is understanding the concept ofself mastery.
If you guys are new to theEvolved Mastery podcast, then
you understand that how mostpeople talk about mastery in
most forms is pushing andconstantly dedicating yourself

(01:11):
to a process, and you know allthese heavy words and
descriptions.
But, as I teach self mastery, self mastery is about surrender.
It's about surrendering to themost powerful version of you
that you have the potential tobe in this moment.
And, as I've said in podcastprevious, a lot of the times
when we talk about the wordsurrender, people say you know,

(01:33):
I just, I just struggle withsurrendering.
And I always tell them no, youdon't actually struggle with
surrendering, but you'reactually struggling with is
surrendering to the right things.
Because we surrender to ourexcuses, we surrender to the
failure to create healthy habits, we surrender to not showing up
for ourselves on a daily basis.
I can go on and on down a listof things that we surrender to

(01:54):
that do not serve us.
But it's time to startsurrendering to the things that
are going to evolve you and moveyou down a path of self
discovery and opening you up toa level of power that unlocks
your potential.
Self mastery is a daily process.
It's you versus you.
It's you assessing and takingaction in the areas that are

(02:18):
keeping you from creating thatbusiness, those relationships
and the overall ideal life thatyou have the power, potential
and purpose to create.
And so we're going to dive intothis topic, but I want you guys
to understand that it allstarts with your capacity to be
100% honest with yourself abouthow you're choosing to show up

(02:39):
in your life, and then doing adaily assessment and looking at
the opportunities that you'regiven every single day to be the
most powerful version of youand surrender to the opportunity
of your growth.
Life is about you youunderstanding the deeper levels
of you, you understanding thepower that you have to create

(03:00):
more love, more consistency, more compassion, more empathy,
more power and unlocking yourpotential to create and leave
something amazing to the world.
As we begin to dive into theseareas of self mastery,
throughout these strategies thatI'm going to share with you,
it's so important that we startidentifying the areas for our

(03:23):
own personal growth anddevelopment.
I've worked with clients allover the world and every time
that I get to work with someone, the most beautiful part about
working with the clients thatI've been able to work with is
taking them down a path ofexposing the things that they
have, or the areas rather, let'ssay that, the areas where they

(03:44):
have blind spots.
And at every level that we growto, no matter what part of your
journey that you're in, we allhave blind spots.
Even I have blind spots, andthat's why you always hear the
saying even coaches have coaches.
The best at anything havealways had coaches.
They've always had mentors, they've always studied to be the
best form of themselvespossible.

(04:06):
But they had to identify firstthe areas that were limiting
them in personal growth anddevelopment.
And this means that as youstart taking the journey, every
day and every week, every month, every hour, every moment that
you get, you should be lookingat yourself and asking yourself
am I truly showing up in a waythat is going to get me an ROI,

(04:30):
that's going to give me a returnon the investment of my time
that I am putting into eachmoment?
Because if we are not showingup, if we are not taking the
steps and doing the work as Ialways tell my clients there's
no point in complaining aboutthe results that you don't get
from the work that you don't do.
So next step is, as we begin toassess, as we begin to look at

(04:52):
our lives, look at ourrelationships, look at our
business opportunities and thethings that we've been given to
create and grow through, we haveto start setting clear goals.
As we improve our lives, wehave to start getting clear and,
as I always teach my clients, setting goals is not as simple
as just writing your goals down.

(05:13):
You don't just write the goaldown from where you are.
When you write goals down, gothrough each one of those goals
and ask yourself what are thesteps to achieving this goal?
And then go through each one ofthem.
And what this is gonna do isit's gonna give you a roadmap,

(05:33):
it's gonna give you a compass,it's gonna give you the ability
to gauge your progress everysingle day.
It's gonna give you the abilityto see where you're taking
steps or where you haven't takensteps.
And this is so important foryourself improvement and so many
people fail in this area.
They will talk about what theywant, you know they'll dream
about what they want.
They'll do their positiveaffirmations, but they never set

(05:56):
clear goals and then they don'tcreate steps to achieving the
goal and then from there, mostpeople try to do everything on
their own.
But I always tell people asyou're setting goals, get people
into your life, create a circlearound you of people who are
gonna hold you accountable toachieving those goals.
You don't have to get a coach, just people that you trust Say

(06:18):
hey, I'm at this point where I'mgetting ready to take these
steps, these are my goals forthis week or this month or this
year.
And I'm letting you know, because I trust you to hold me
accountable.
If you see me at any point inmy journey not taking the
correct steps or complaining orprocrastinating or making
excuses or doing anything that'sout of alignment with achieving
these goals, I give you thepermission to challenge me.

(06:40):
I give you permission to checkin on me and ask me am I doing
the work that is required for meto do?
See, we gotta get strategicabout how we live our lives.
We gotta get strategic abouthow we set our goals.
We gotta get strategic aboutidentifying the areas that we
truly want to grow in.
And then we have to startcultivating self-awareness,

(07:02):
because self-awareness becomes afoundation for self-mastery.
The more aware I become of myactions, the more habits I
create around these habits, themore I'm going to grow.
The faster I'm gonna grow, themore consistently I'm going to
grow.
And in doing this, bycultivating deeper levels and

(07:22):
more aware levels ofself-awareness, what we start
doing is harnessing the power ofself-discipline.
We start harnessing the powerof consistency.
See, the more we show up, themore we discipline ourselves,
the more we're going to be ableto see the results.
The more we're going to be ableto assess more deeply, the more

(07:42):
we're gonna be able to movemore efficiently in our lives.
And so, as we start doing thesethings, this is when we start
to truly see our lives evolve.
This is when we startovercoming obstacles and we
start seeing them, because ourperspective starts to shift and
we stop complaining about thethings that are not happening.
We stop complaining about thechallenges and we start seeing

(08:06):
them as opportunities for growth.
As I always tell my clients, ifyou change the way you see
things, the things that you seewill change.
So we have to start gettingstrategic about overcoming the
obstacles.
We have to start being moreconsistent in doing the work
that's going to allow us to movemore efficiently.
And as we begin to do this,we're gonna start seeing new

(08:30):
wins.
We're gonna start seeing newdoors open.
We're gonna start seeing newareas of growth, and this is
where we must start celebratingthe small wins, start
celebrating the progress alongthe way, start patting yourself
on the back, start rewardingyourself for the growth and this
doesn't mean go overboard.
Maybe, for each goal that youaccomplish, gamify it, set a

(08:52):
goal and if you achieve thatgoal, say if I achieve this goal
.
I'm gonna reward myself bytaking myself shopping, or I'm
gonna reward myself by going toa movie, or going out to dinner,
or doing something that yougenuinely enjoy, that you
normally don't give yourselfpermission to do, because life
is not just about work.
It's about creating experiencesthat bring you joy, and so we

(09:16):
wanna make the process of yourevolved mastery a joyful one, a
one that's filled with love, onethat's filled with progress,
one that's filled withexperiences that light you up,
because what's the point ofliving and creating new
experiences if you don't taketime to slow down and celebrate

(09:38):
the winds along the way?
Start going out with friendsthat are holding you accountable
.
Say we're gonna celebrate atthe end of this month.
These are the goals that I'veset for myself, and I want you
guys to hold me accountable, because when we achieve these
goals, I want to go out and andI want to have dinner, or I want
to go bowling, or I want to dosomething.
I want to take a trip, and I'dlove for us to go.

(09:58):
Anything that gives you joy, joy.
Start doing those things tocelebrate the process.
Make it in a more enjoyableExperience, not a stressful one,
because, as I always say youget to do this, you don't have
to do anything.
You could continue justsurviving and living a mundane
life and showing up howeverybody else shows up.

(10:19):
But that's your choice.
But I say, let's get rid ofthat choice and let's make it a
non-negotiable, negotiable thatas we do these things, as we
grow, as we embrace each moment,as we take every chance and
every choice that we are Givento be the most powerful versions
of ourselves, we're gonna startcelebrating it along the way

(10:39):
and taking people with us onthat journey.
But then this is where it getsso awesome, because the people
that you carry on that journeywith you, you start integrating
the feedback from them, youstart adapting new strategies,
asking for advice, hiringcoaches, getting around people,
going to events, networking, getinto environments that are

(11:01):
going to fuel and feed theprogress.
See, because a lot of the timeswe spend so much time trying to
do it again on our own but wewere not meant to function on
our own all the time the more weget out and connect and learn
from other people and Createmore experiences where we are
experiencing other peoplecelebrating their growth, other

(11:23):
people who desire to grow andalso have accountability for
themselves.
We start building a communityaround us and that community
becomes so supportive.
And this is why we say as yougrow, your community should also
grow with you, because thereare going to be moments where
you may outgrow the currentcircle and you may be in one of

(11:43):
those moments now where you'vebeen where you've been for so
long and the people around youdon't see what you see.
They're not inspired by whatyou're inspired by.
Family doesn't see it.
Your current friends don't seeit.
You know, and this is where youhave to love them enough to
keep going as always.
Say to climb the mountain, andif they choose to grow, you can
throw the road back and pullthem up.

(12:06):
But in the meantime, startmaking it a point to get around
people who are going to inspireyou.
Start making it a point to getaround people who are going to
pull you up.
Start making it a point to goand do things that you've never
done before.
Things are going to challengeyou to stretch Intinueness,
things that are going tochallenge you to be a wiser,

(12:28):
more efficient, more loving, more expanded, more Evolved
version of yourself, because youonly get this one life.
So make this life worth it.
And as you begin to do that, you begin to build this
inspiring story.
You began to share yourexperiences, you began to add

(12:50):
light, not only to your life butto the lives of those who cross
your path, and that lightbegins to create a legacy that,
even if you took your lastbreath, it would continue to
live on.
See, the greatest thing that wecan do in our lives is to grow,
evolve, gain wisdom and leavethat wisdom behind for those who

(13:12):
come behind us to glean from,to grow from, to Evolve from, so
that they will continue to takethat wisdom, build upon it and
make this world a better place, adding more light to the world.
I see so many people whocomplain about the world as it
is, but why complain when youcan be the change?

(13:33):
You are a powerful individual.
You have the ability to createsomething amazing.
You have the ability to givebirth to things that this world
has never seen.
I Was listening to dr MilesMonroe years ago.
He was one of my favoriteauthors and speakers and he
asked the question when is mostof the potential in the world?

(13:55):
His answer to that question wasin the graveyard.
People who have passed on fromthis life and never wrote books
never sung songs, never gavebirth to that invention, never
started that business that couldhave changed the world on and
on and on and on.

(14:16):
Potential that was buried.
My question for you guyslistening today is will your
potential be buried or will youunlock it?
Will you give yourselfpermission to be the greatest,
brightest, most efficient, mostpowerful version of you To bring

(14:38):
something to the world that theworld has yet to see?
Or will you live just to beanother fading memory?
I want you to think about thattoday.
I want you to really reallythink about that.
Your life is your choice, people, and you have the

(14:58):
opportunity to do something withyour life that makes this world
a much better place.
So, as we began to end thispodcast, like I said, I wanted
to be here for a good time, butnot for a long time, because I
know people get busy and there'sso many things that I could
dive into, but I'm shiftinggears a little bit.

(15:23):
I just want to give you guystools and just have a momentary
conversation with you guys.
Give you guys wisdom that I'vegained and push you, encourage
you to step into it, emulate it,make it your own to create
something amazing with your life.
I always tell people I haven'talways been who I am, and if

(15:46):
you've been following thispodcast long enough, you know
that I say that all the time.
I didn't start here.
At one point people said I washopeless, but now people say I'm
a beacon of light and I'mgrateful because I took a chance
on me.
I took a chance to be powerful.

(16:13):
I took a chance on lovingmyself, believing in myself and
doing something that broughtlight not only to my life, but
light to the lives of everyperson who crosses my path, and
I encourage you, guys.
Maybe your journey is not myjourney, maybe you're not here
to do what I do, but you're hereto do something.

(16:36):
You wouldn't be here if thatwere not true, but what I do
know is that there is so muchpotential in you and if you're
listening to this podcast, something in you knows it.
You've known it for a long time, but you've been scratching at
the surface, waiting, hoping, dreaming of the change, waiting,

(17:01):
hoping, dreaming for thenewness in your life, not
realizing that this entire time, the newness was waiting for you
.
The newness was waiting for youto wake up.
The newness was waiting for youto start surrendering to your
power.
Identify that you have so muchin you that you can create.

(17:23):
It was waiting for you to startsetting clear goals to improve
your life.
It was waiting for you toembrace the growth mindset and
to start learning and evolvinglike the beautiful, brilliant
soul that you are.
So what are you waiting for?

(17:44):
What are you waiting for?
You have so much power tocreate something.
What will you create?
How will you change yourrelationships?
How will you change the storyof your life?
What business are you going tobuild that creates change in the

(18:05):
world?
What influence are you going tocreate?
What legacy will you leavebehind?
Ask yourself that today.
How bad do you want it?
Because the life that you'vebeen waiting for has been
waiting for you, and so, as wecontinue on, I want you to think

(18:31):
about what I've talked abouttoday.
I want you to re listen to itover and over and over again.
I want you to take notes.
I want you to walk through yourlife understanding that if you
just take the steps, if you justdo the work, if you just set
the goals, make yourselfaccountable, get clear on what

(18:55):
it's you truly desire, everything in your life can
change.
But it's all up to you.
