of that at all times. Hello guys.
Happy Tuesday. It's Tuesday for me.
Maybe it's Tuesday for you if you're listening to when I

(01:41):
uploaded this podcast. Housekeeping for this week, not
much going on. I spent a little while in
hospital recently, nothing major, I was just having a bit
of complications with my heart. As we know I've got heart
related issues and POTS which isanother condition for another

(02:04):
day. But today I don't have a lot of
other housekeeping for you. I'm currently watching Untamed
on Netflix with Eric Banner which is also awesome.
I was literally about to say Bruce Banner but I'm sure that's
the Hulk and I'm getting confused with my kids shows but
no it's definitely Eric Banner but today's episode is called

(02:27):
Where is Cory Fein? This is a case I have been
trying to like, tweak and get right for a couple of weeks.
Unfortunately, it took me a little bit longer than usual
because I was hoping that a bit more information would come out.
So I want to 1st acknowledge thelack of information that we have
here. But the information that we are

(02:49):
giving is all of the informationavailable if that makes sense.
So I hope that you can listen tothis entire episode.
I hope that you are able to share his name and his story far
and wide so we can keep the pressure on for the family.
This is a really lovely family that I have been chatting to in

(03:11):
order to get this together. And you know, like all of the
families that I work with, they're very, very deserving of
answers here and they deserve all the help that they can get.
So please get around this familyand this story.
Good morning or afternoon or possibly even evening, depending
where and when or even how you have decided to tune in.

(03:35):
Thank you for being here today. We have an urgent and active
missing persons case that I'm going to walk you through as
best as I can for the family whohad approached me and asked how
I can help. I'm going to do an initial
episode here, being this one, and any subsequent episodes for
updates as they are required. And I hope that after listening
today, you're able to spread theword, spread the episode and

(03:59):
keep talking about the case and keep it hot for the family.
So today we have a gentleman in my home state of WA.
This man's name is Corey Fian. Corey, as of this Friday, will
have been missing for a number of weeks.
That is, we're looking well over12 weeks now.

(04:22):
So this is family members and friends waking up with no
answers for quite some time. If you are not familiar with the
area, we're talking about Lehmanin Washington.
That's L EE MAN. Lehman is a small coastal
fishing town located within the Shire of Kuro.
I hope that's how you say it. C double OROW in the Midwest

(04:44):
coast of Washington. I am personally familiar with
Lehman but just not that shy a name.
But this seaside community with only a few 100 residents, I
believe, is known for all of thebeautiful things that WA offers,
like the natural beauty, relaxedatmosphere and of course it's
close connection to the ocean. It's a coastal town.

(05:06):
So Lehman has a rich fishing heritage.
It's got beautiful beaches and unique nature, beautiful
wildlife and just offers a popular holiday stopover
destination. So Cory Fee and Cory has lived
in Lehman for the best part of 20 years.
He has been living and working there and he's been working on

(05:27):
boats and frequently fishing forsharks, crawfish and octopus.
So in 2016, Cory started to build his shack on family land,
just 20 minutes past Lehman in areally beautiful spot by the
ocean, which he loved. And he took great pride in his
home there, I'm told, and had planned to live out the rest of
his days there. So that's where he had set

(05:49):
himself up and he was really happy about that and happy about
his shack and took great pride in that.
A physical description of Cory, while I'm at it.
He's described as 175 centimetres tall.
He has tan skin, green eyes, shoulder length brown hair, a
beard and a moustache. And he looks like a really cool

(06:11):
guy. From all the descriptions I'm
getting from the family, this isa really approachable, friendly,
nice man and you can tell in hisphotos that he he just looks
like an absolute legend. Again, I just want to
acknowledge the limited details that we have in this case, but
at the same time, I want to emphasize the importance of
keeping his name alive and encouraging community support.

(06:32):
A lot of the times when we go past, say the 14 day mark of a
missing persons, it's really thecommunity needs to rally behind
these families and continue to help them push.
So he went missing on the 26th of April this year, you guys.
And I want to note I had a little look and the weather on

(06:53):
this day in Lehman was 22° with a low of seven overnight.
So reports about Cory going missing say a couple of things.
I'm going to go over everything.First of all, Cory was 47 years
old, so when he went missing in April, he was 47.

(07:13):
He's currently still 47. So April the 26th, 2025 was when
he was last seen. Now it's stated that he was last
seen around 9:00 AM paddling a blue and white kayak N along the
coast near Freshwater Point in Aerosmith.
That is about 260 kilometers north of Perth.

(07:35):
So initially there was a land and sea search conducted which
covered coastline from Carsons Beach to Freshwater Bay
utilizing drones and Marine Rescue Washington vessels.
This search was actually deemed suspended pending any new
information. So basically that just means
what it states. They stopped searching because
they couldn't find anything and then said that they would

(07:57):
continue a search should they get new information.
Come at the 30th of April, therewas an upturned kayak found near
a couple of islands nearby whichwere about 200 kilometres north
of where he was last seen, so quite a distance away.
But the family actually believe that this kayak is not connected

(08:17):
with Corys disappearance and that's really important to note.
His mother is pleading for information and is concerned
that he's been met with foul play.
And this is super interesting because I always like to take
any information or extra information that the family want
to save. Because at the end of the day,
these are people who know this person that's missing.

(08:39):
They know their routine activity, they know their
personality and they know their livelihood dynamics also to
speak. So his family, obviously, I
can't speak for all of them, butthe ones I've spoken to are
suspecting he has met with foul play.
This is interesting because as we spoke about earlier, he had

(08:59):
built this shack and this was like his pride and joy, like
bloody loved it. Corey's got this shack and you
won't find this information in the reports into interestingly,
but his shack had actually been ransacked.
So when they have gone to look for Corey and it's been some
days they've gone, obviously hisprimary residence is the shack.

(09:22):
The shack has been ransacked andthe area surrounding, like
immediately surrounding his shack had been unusually raked,
which the family finds suspicious because again, this
is obviously not something and he's not routinely raking the
area around his shack. This is something that they're

(09:43):
finding out of the ordinary. And again, they're the ones that
know him. They're their family members.
So that's something to keep in mind, and I think that's also
very, very important and that can give us a good idea of the
nature of this missing persons case.
I had a couple of simple questions for the family and
they gave me some answers. And those questions were simple,

(10:03):
like the kayak that was found, did they do forensics on it?
Who actually saw him and reported him last missing or who
saw him paddling the kayak and things like that?
So I'm going to go through the answers with you so that you've
gotten as much context as I do. They did do forensics on the
kayak that they found, and this returned no DNA results.

(10:26):
However, the police say that they believe that it is Corey's
kayak. Whether they have reason to
believe or whether it's just because it's of a similar
description, who knows? One of the men present said that
Corey paddled off at 9:00 AM Saturday morning, the 26th of
April. Another person reported seeing a

(10:46):
person that could have been Coryat around 11:00 AM on a kayak
further out at sea. And both of those people have
given the police their statements.
It was Cory's boss who reported Cory missing on the afternoon of
Monday the 28th of April as he went back to Cory's shack
looking for him and Cory wasn't there.
This is obviously out of the ordinary for Cory and his boss

(11:10):
is aware of that and that's why he's made the report.
The man who reportedly, reportedly sorry saw Cory on a
kayak was at Cory's shack. He stated that he saw Cory
paddle off but did not make any report.
So I find that a bit weird. But anyway, there there was no

(11:30):
known conflict. However, the family have the
strong opinion, as I said, that there is foul play involved.
That's for a number of reasons, and that's obviously because the
shack was like trashed and turned upside down.
And there's absolutely no reasonwhy the shack should appear that
way. If Corey, you know, had intended
on coming back, he's not going to just trash his own shack.

(11:52):
That's very unusual circumstances and I think that's
very important to note. Again, I know there's a lack of
information here and we've only got a couple of dates and a
couple of sightings. There was a reported sighting of
of Corey at a Lehman store on the 25th of April.
That is obviously the day beforehe was reported missing or last

(12:15):
seen I suppose. And this case is currently with
the Dongara Police station. Corey seems to be much loved.
He has a lot of concern, concerns for his welfare and his
safety. Everyone that has met with him
and I've spoken to has spoken really, really highly of him.

(12:36):
And they've just given me a really positive vibe.
And like has they've all said, you know, the positive impact
that Corey has had on them and their lives and that that's not
super common. I mean, if we think about
ourselves like no one's perfect. So for somebody to, you know,
speak of you in your absence andand speak highly of you, I think

(12:57):
that is, you know, very telling of a person's nature.
Everyone I've spoken to is entirely heartbroken and
frustrated that nothing is happening and no questions are
being answered. What can we do to help?
That is the biggest question I'malways asking myself in terms of

(13:18):
local search parties. Even though the official land
and sea search has been paused, residents familiar with the
coastal terrain, I'm happy to chat with them and help
coordinate voluntary beach patrols, particularly from
Freshwater Point up toward thoseislands.
I'll have to get the name of those.
For some reason I didn't note them down or along walking

(13:40):
tracks and shacks in the Bush areas.
We can certainly do that. We can also, I'm going to create
some Flyers and we can distribute those.
I encourage any locals in the area to revisit any CCTV that
also includes your dash Cam and any like doorbell footage and

(14:00):
phone footage from around April the 26th, especially between
Lehman and Freshwater Point. Obviously we can continue to
share on social media. That's really important.
Lehman locals and visitors may have noticed something unusual
or disturbances or footprints orvehicle activity.
Always keep in mind that if you are concerned for your safety

(14:21):
and you do have information, youcan always report anonymously.
You can do that via Crime Stoppers.
What else? If you own a boat or a drone,
you can consider assisting in collaborating with Marine Rescue
WA, or you can get in contact with me and we can organize
something. Coordination is something I'm

(14:42):
always happy to do if we have people out there willing to chip
in and lend a hand. Obviously, the weather's not
fantastic right now, so we can focus on land for the moment,
but we can certainly plan for a couple of days or weeks ahead.
And I just hope that everybody in that area are checking any

(15:03):
remote spots. If you're familiar with the
area, even better. If you're familiar with the area
and you want to send in any information about the area, that
would be fantastic. The family would appreciate
that. But sometimes the most
meaningful support is emotional. If we can support the family and
stand with the family by sharingthis story, that is the biggest

(15:24):
thing. And I want them to feel like
they stand united at this time in their life.
And we're here for them and you guys are here for them.
And you guys are really good at at doing this.
And I thank you so much for tuning in and listening and
supporting these families so much.
But there's a number of things we can do, and the more people

(15:47):
willing to help, the better. You don't necessarily have to be
there in person. You can help online.
Reach out to me. I'll get back to you as soon as
I can. So thank you so much for
listening to this. I really hope that we can get an
outcome for Corey's family and for Corey.
And yes, I will keep you updated.

(16:08):
We're going to do more episodes to keep you updated on this
story. And hopefully, I really hope we
can come to a conclusion for thefamily.
