Episode 167 of the Business Bookshelf podcast - Robert J. Kohlhepp - author of "Build a Better Organization: How Effective Leadership and Strong Culture Can Create a High-Performance Organization".
Robert joined Cintas Corporation in July 1967 as controller. Over a span of 50 years with Cintas, he was promoted to positions of general manager, vice president and treasurer, executive vice president, president, and CEO, then served as Vice Chair and Board Chair until retiring in 2016. Additionally, Bob has served on several association, corporation, nonprofit and university boards.
Robert is the author of “Build a Better Organization: How Effective Leadership and Strong Culture Can Create a High-Performance Organization”. In looking for help and understanding on how to build an organization and to select and manage your people, a good place to start would be to look for an organization that did that exceptionally well.
Cintas is a great American success story, and Bob was an important part of that success building Cintas from $1.6 million in sales in 1967 to over $7 billion today.
