We’re working our way through some of the critics’ greatest albums of all time - well, those we’ve never listened to before, anyway. 😉 These are mostly albums from the 60s and 70s, which are a HUGE blind spot for at least one of our hosts. This week the boys interrupt their summer breaks for a close look at “Pet Sounds” by Th...

Hosts E and Tank - music obsessive in their late 40s - recently attended a Bob Mould concert and thought to themselves, “Are we getting too old for this shit?” The short answer: no. I mean, we can’t listen to ALL the music, can we? There’s gotta be a few blind spots. And believe it or not, Elton John’s 1973 album “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” - a classic album by any measure - had totally escaped our hosts’ consciousness. It’s time to fix that. Hosts E and Tank listen to the album for the first time and give their honest take on it. Their findings might surprise you. 😉 What album have you just never got around ...

Bon Iver’s fifth studio album - “SABLE, fABLE” - is perhaps his most optimistic and accessible record to date. In this episode, hosts E and Tank listen to the album for the first time straight through and react to it, then give their review. We call it a “revaction” (still workshopping that name TBH).” Does this lyrical/musical shift pay off? Tune in and find out!

We spend a lot of time thinking about music, and this topic has been percolating for a while - are The Beatles *really* the greatest band of all time? Or is calling them the GOAT just a cop-out for doing some deep thinking about what it means to be great? And if they are the best, what does that say about the entire history of rock and roll *since* The Beatles broke up?
What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

When it comes to terrible 80s music videos, we just can’t help ourselves. This week, it’s the L.A. Rams performing their response/tribute(?) to the Chicago Bears’ incredible “Super Bowl Shuffle” called “Let’s Ram It.” 😏 Yeah, you read that right. Watch to see how long it takes E to figure out that this song *just* might be about something other than football. 🏈😳What did you think of the video? Let us know in the comments.Watch t...
Sometimes you go looking for an old school video to make fun of, and it turns out there actually isn’t a video for the song in question. What’s a music podcast to do?! Well, we found another video with a similar name and subjected ourselves to possibly one of the most awful/depressing attempts at hip-hop we could possibly imagine. And we watched Drake’s dad’s video!
