Există un festival dedicat exclusiv literaturii pentru adolescenți: FestivalYA, organizat de librăriile Cărturești și Editura Trei, îi invită anual pe cei mai în vogă scriitori la discuții online cu cititorii, direct în limba engleză. FestivalYA este un spațiu de întâlnire foarte animat, unde fanii întreabă autorii de ce nu au fost mai blânzi cu personajele favorite sau le spun cum i-a ajutat povestea sau își fac declarații de dragoste în direct unii altora. Festivalul este o dovadă în plus a puterii de comunicare cu care ne încarcă literatura.
Episodul de podcast Față/Verso, „Adolescent în FestivalYA”, zumzăie festiv de vocile unora dintre scriitorii invitați — Adam Silvera, Ruta Sepetys, Caroline O’Donoghue și Gayle Forman —, ale organizatorilor (am stat de vorbă, din partea lor, cu Măriuca Munteanu, Diana Petruț și traducătoarea Iulia Dromereschi) și ale publicului curios și energic.
