“You’ll find the right person when you are fully ok and happy on your own”

“You just need to put yourself out there”

“You need to enjoy your time alone to let the right person in”
“You need to heal your trauma to attract the one”

“ You shouldn’t go look for love, love should find you”

“ Don’t chase, attract”

We all have heard these quotes a thousand times by others trying to coach us on how to find love, especially from those already in a relationship. Although there is truth in there, I believe these quotes just like all the other quotes leave no room for nuances. Finding the right person is so lucky! If you are in a relationship with the right one and you are content, that’s so lucky! Yes, there are things you can do to maximize your chances of finding a relationship like going out, trying out hobbies but even if you do all of these things and do your therapy and go on a healing journey it’s not a guarantee that you will find the right person right away. In fact it might take a long time and during these times, you will be single and some people will not understand that. They will try to give you advice on how to get into a relationship just because they have had a successful one and now they see themselves eligible to give relationship advice although they have almost no experience. Reality is maybe you are more healed than many others who are in happy relationships but your journey is different so they attracted the right person in their twenties but yours hasn’t arrived yet as there is no timeline for love.

In this episode I will talk about all these nuances and also about why I have been away from the podcast for some time:)

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
