Lara est franco-québécoise. Alors qu'elle était enseignante en France elle a tout plaqué pour vivre son rêve : prendre des cours et devenir actrice. Mais le Québec n'exaucera que la moitié de ces rêves car... elle n'aura même pas eu le temps de prendre le moindre cours ! Un post Facebook, un casting "pour voir" et la voilà premier rôle pour une nouvelle série : Justine à St-John's.
Justine (interprétée par Lara) est une française qui pour acquérir la crédibilité qu'elle mérite, s'exile pour une année dans le Nord du Québec. À Terre-neuve elle devra tout réapprendre.
Découvrir une nouvelle culture, s'adapter tout en faisant vivre ce qui fait sa propre identité s'est le défi de Justine... et de Lara.
