Petit bout de terre francophone de 8 millions d'habitants, cernée par un continent de 360 millions d'anglophones, à bien y regarder, le Québec a tout du petit village gaulois.
Arrivé sur la côte américaine au moment où le Québec sortait de sa révolution "tranquille" (je ne me lasserais jamais de ce qualificatif qui pour tout français que je suis, me semble quelque peu antinomique ;-) ), les aventures d'Astérix ont rapidement résonné avec la société québécoise : lutte pour l'indépendance, bataille culturelle... c'est fou à quel point Astérix a fusionné avec la société québécoise toute entière et toutes générations confondues. Au point même où, le Parc Astérix, avant même d'ouvrir ses portes près de paris a bien failli s'installer ici, en Montérégie, à Granby !
Et ce n'est là que l'une des très nombreuses anecdotes que nous livre Tristan Demers. C'est passionnant... et tout aussi instructif que bon nombre de livres d'histoire (enfin ça, ce n'est que mon avis).
