urgency, to get locked in andfocused to who God has called
you to be, what he said you canhave and what he said you can do
.
And the enemy is after yourlife, but God is after your
purpose and he has a destiny anda plan for you, and God needs
(00:42):
what you have.
Javier Olguin (00:54):

Rob Dawson (00:56):

It's been a while, but I'm back, man Javier.
Welcome to Faith on Fire, bro.
Like it's so good to have youas a co-host.
Man, just real quick, take like60 seconds and just tell the
(01:18):
people a little something aboutyourself.
But it's got to be somethinginteresting, because you've got
to draw them in right away, tellthem how you was.
You know, out there in themstreets, man.
Javier Olguin (01:30):
Man.
You know what, Rob?
My life in a nutshell is from amess to a message, and that's
what God has done in my life.
And just wrapping up a littlebit, you know my past and prior
life.
I came from drug addiction, Icame from homelessness, I came
from gangs, I came from overdoseand many awful things.
(01:53):
And so, in a nutshell, when Isay from a mess to a message,
that's what I was, rob.
I was a hot mess express, butGod took my mess and he turned
it into a message.
And so I'm here to join youguys, live on Faith, on Fire, in
hopes that we can ignite a fireinside of you, ignite a joy
(02:15):
inside of you and ignite anovercoming spirit that you can
overcome your past life, overcome your situation, just by
hearing what God has done inour lives.
So I'm excited, bro.
Rob Dawson (02:27):
That's what I just
heard.
That's what I just heard, Justlike God turns your mess into a
message those of you listeningto this or watching this right
now God is turning your messinto a message.
Javier Olguin (02:38):
Today tonight.
Rob Dawson (02:39):
Whenever you're
watching this, please know that
God is a God of grace and thathis grace and mercy endures
forever.
We talked about that before andso he is extending his grace to
you.
But this is a season and a timefor you to have a sense of
urgency, to get locked in andfocused to who God has called
you to be, what he said you canhave and what he said you can do
(02:59):
.
And the enemy is after yourlife, but God is after your
purpose and he has a destiny anda plan for you, and God needs
what you have.
Javier Olguin (03:11):
Yes, yes.
And on top of that, rob, I meanother people needs what we have
.
Yes, what I'm learning and whatI'm seeing more and more and so
lately is God is telling meJavi, it's not about you, right?
Not about you.
And sometimes we can get soselfish and get in the way of
(03:34):
what God is really trying to dothrough us, because I would say,
the chances are is that there'speople out here who need to
hear your story, who need tohear your message, and there's
people out there that couldrelate to what you've gone
through.
And so I like to say, yes, godneeds what we have.
But people here who don't knowGod, they need what we have.
(03:59):
And the word says that we arethe light of the world and we're
not supposed to hide our lightunder a bed.
And so, you know, rob, the moreand more that life happens and
I go through obstacles, trialsand tribulations, I begin to
understand that, yes, it hashappened to me, but it's not
about me, because the chancesare, there's someone out there
that's broken, that's hurting,that's in despair, that's
(04:23):
suicidal, that's angry, whateverit is, and they just need some
kind of hope, some kind of light.
And what, if you are thatmessage and that key to their
breakthrough, to their healing?
They are they are.
Rob Dawson (04:39):
He said I come not
to be served but to serve and to
give my life a ransom for manygosh man.
We are a reflection of him inthe earth.
So he came to minister and notto be ministered to.
If he came to be to serve andnot to be served, then we too,
(05:00):
should be the same.
Somebody needs what you have, yeah, gifts, talents, abilities,
treasures on the inside of you,but the enemy wants you to get
out of focus.
He wants you to forget aboutwho you are and who you are, and
he wants you to get caught upin a cycle of selfishness yeah,
(05:20):
I just heard that.
A cycle of selfishness whereyou're focusing on your
situation, your problem, yourchallenge.
What happened last week, lastmonth, your path, Me and you
talked the other night.
I said, man, you can't takeyour past into your future.
Come on, and so what?
I'm here to tell you today thatyou can't take your past into
your future.
It's time to move forward withurgency and with focus, and to
(05:43):
get serious about what God hasplaced in your life and the
assignment that he's called youto.
Yeah, yeah.
Javier Olguin (05:52):
That's so good,
Rob, and that's what we want to
encourage you guys today, tonight or whatever time you're
watching is to be urgent and tobe focused on what God has for
you.
We can't hang on to the past.
We can't no longer be stagnantand be on the sidelines.
Why be on the sidelines and donothing when you can be a part
(06:15):
of a great move of God?
Today, I'm telling you that Godis calling his end time
revivalists that would cometogether and that we would be
the doers of the word, not justthe hearers, not just the
naysayers, not the bystanders, but that we would be the doers.
And being a doer takes actions.
(06:37):
Rob, we must take actions inour faith.
That's what a person who has anurgency and a focus in their
life they take actions.
One thing I know, Rob, is thatfaith moves forward.
When we have faith, we mustpropel forward, even if we fall,
even if something comes up.
We must stay urgent and stayfocused and move forward, no
(07:01):
matter what happens in our life, and go after everything that
God said we can and will do.
Yes.
Rob Dawson (07:09):
Yes, yes, the
definition of urgency is
importance requiring swiftaction and earnest and
persistent quality insistence.
You ever been insistent uponsomething?
You go to a hotel maybe youdon't like the room, and you go
down to the lobby and you insistman, y'all need to change my
(07:32):
room.
Javier Olguin (07:33):
A couple of times
.
Rob Dawson (07:40):
We do that, with
things like that in life, but
are we urgent about the call ofGod?
Are we urgent about the thingsof God?
Are we urgent about this Bibleright here and what God says
that we need to do?
Man, the time is moving so fastand the world is becoming
darker and darker, and God isrequiring of you and I to rise
(08:02):
up and to be the light and thesalt that he's called us to be.
Yeah, he says, you are thelight of the world, you are the
salt of the earth.
You are the.
Is that right?
Yeah, are you, you are thelight of the world.
Javier Olguin (08:15):
Yes.
Rob Dawson (08:16):
You are the salt of
the earth.
And then check this out thedefinition of focus, because
they're talking about urgencyand focus.
Focus is the state or qualityof having or producing clear
visual definition, payingparticular attention to a thing,
adapting to the prevailinglevel of light and becoming and
(08:37):
become able to see thingsclearly.
And so we got to see thingsclearly as it relates to the
word and have a concentration ofattention or energy on this
right here.
Javier Olguin (08:51):
Yeah.
Rob Dawson (08:51):
We got to have a
concentration and an attention.
Put that in the commentsConcentration and attention to
the assignment.
Javi, you know a question I aska lot of people, bro, what Are
you in alignment with theassignment that God has for your
life?
Javier Olguin (09:13):
Are you in
alignment with the assignment
that God has for your life?
Rob Dawson (09:20):
Or are you in
alignment with the assignment
that others have placed on you, that others have said you are,
or what you can or cannot do, orare you allowing your past to
dictate your future right?
And so are we in alignment withthis word right here?
Do we have a concentration andan attention and an energy on
(09:43):
this word and what God hasinstructed us to do in this
season?
And if you're not obedient towhat God has called you to do,
the things he's told you to do,write the book, start the
business, cut off thatrelationship, start going to
church, if you're not beingobedient or you're delaying, I
(10:03):
need you to know today that MikeMurdoch wants to say the
delayed obedience is stilldisobedience.
Javier Olguin (10:08):
Yeah.
Rob Dawson (10:10):
Yeah, and it's time
for us to obey God and have
urgency.
Bro, jump in there.
Javier Olguin (10:17):
Come on, man.
And so when I think abouturgency and when I think about
focus, we're just talking aboutfocus, and you pretty much took
it, you pretty much said it.
And this is so funny becauseall of this is just Holy Spirit
led.
None of this is scripted.
And so, as I think about focus,I heard in the spirit the Lord
telling me you know, tell themto pay attention to the
(10:40):
distractions distracting youfrom becoming focused.
What is distracting you frombeing on the right track of what
God has for you?
Could it be a relationship?
Could it be that girl, that boy?
Could it be video games?
Could it be Instagram?
Something is in the way, something is trying to interfere
(11:08):
, and I would say that a lot oftimes that the enemy wants to
cause the distraction in orderto derail you off of your
purpose, to get you off track, because when we're on track, we
will stay on our purpose course, the course of purpose, and as
(11:30):
long as we stay on that track,we will get there.
It might take a day, it mighttake weeks, it might take years
whatever it takes.
But just know that the morelonger you prolong with these
distractions, the longer thatdelay is going to be happening
of walking in your full calling, your full purpose that God has
for you.
Come on, rob, you're oh man.
(11:57):
You're the mic.
No good, bro, oh man.
What about now we're going tohave to?
I don't know.
That whole time I was talkingit was buzzing the whole entire
time.
Keep going.
Rob Dawson (12:19):
Okay, okay, yeah,
you got it.
Javier Olguin (12:27):
Go ahead brother.
Rob Dawson (12:30):
I can't hear you.
What about now?
Here we go, here we go.
Look, distractions come justlike that.
Mike, there, there are timeswhen things try to delay, are
(12:54):
times when things try to delayor try to stop or to try to
oppose what God has called youto do in this season, but you
just got to stay locked in andfocused.
Yeah, as you were talking, you're like man, the buzz in it.
I don't know if you saw it, butI said keep rolling.
There are some times in yourlife when you just got to keep
rolling, regardless of what thecircumstances look like,
regardless of how you feel, regardless of what's going on
around you.
And so, as you were talking, man, guess what the Holy Spirit was
(13:14):
like do this, do this, do this,do this.
This is how you're going to fixit.
And so we are not called to bemoved.
You and I are not called to bemoved by what we see.
We're only called to be movedby the word of God.
I have something in my officethat says I am not moved by how
I feel, I am only moved by theword of God.
I can do all things throughChrist, who strengthens me.
(13:37):
The Lord is my strength and myshield.
My heart trusts in him and hehelps me.
God can help you to remainfocused, god can help you to
have a sense of urgency, but youhave to lean to him.
And Javi, when you were talking, bro, so powerful, you said we
got to identify what thedistractions are, right, yeah,
(13:57):
yeah.
So as you were talking, I wasreminded, and I believe it's in
the book of Acts, where Peterand John check this out.
Bro, you ready, y'all ready forthis?
Grab when Peter and John checkthis out, bro, you ready, y'all
ready for this?
Grab your Bibles on Faith, onFire man, we don't play around
here.
We getting the word, hit it.
Acts, chapter 3, verse 1.
Now Peter and John went uptogether to the temple at the
(14:19):
hour of prayer, the ninth hour, and a certain lame man from his
mother's womb, carried, wascarried, whom they lay daily,
bro, daily at the gate, calledbeautiful, to ask for alms or
money from those who entered thetemple.
Check this out, you ready forthis?
(14:40):
Yeah, yeah.
Let me share this with you, bro.
Check this, check this out.
Who's seeing Peter and Johnabout to go in the temple ask
for alms and fixing his eyes onhim With John.
Peter said look at us, so okay.
(15:03):
So they're about to walk in,they see this man asking for
money and Peter fixes his eyeson the man first as they're
walking in, and then he tellsthe man hey, put your head up,
look at us.
Look at us.
Don't, don't worry, don't,don't focus on everything else
going on around you.
Stop worrying about the money.
For a second Focus, look at me.
(15:23):
He said look at us, bro, listento this.
Yeah, he said look at us, bro, listen to this.
Yeah, he says those of youlisten.
So he gave his attention, expecting to receive something
from them, bro.
Then Peter said silver and goldI do not have, but what I do
(15:45):
give to you in the name of JesusChrist of Nazareth, rise up and
walk, bro.
Rise up and walk.
God is saying to some of youtoday take your attention off of
your problem or your situation, take your attention off of your
(16:05):
past, the mistakes that youmade.
And he's saying get your eyesfocused on me and my word and
rise up, take your bed and walk, come on, come on, rob.
Javier Olguin (16:21):
I got to jump in
real quick.
What's so fascinating about thatstory and it speaks to me and
I'm sure it's going to speak tomany of you that are watching or
listening tonight.
If you really read that story,it says that the man was there
for how long?
40 years, rob.
40 years begging, a long timeand a long time.
(16:43):
Do you know what the Bible wasreally telling us?
What God was really trying toshow us is that he accepted his
circumstance of defeat.
He accepted his paralyzed, hisillness, his disease.
He accepted it for that part, for that too long, because he
(17:05):
didn't have faith enough.
He only believed oh, I can'tget there because nobody will
carry me there, because becauseman won't bring me there.
And so he accepted hiscircumstance.
And I'm here to let you knowthat whatever you're going
through, whatever you've gotgoing on in your life, you might
be in a challenging situationor season, you might be in a
(17:29):
trial and tribulation.
But let me tell you somethingDon't give up, don't accept that
, do not accept that and knowwhat the Bible says.
You are and who you are andwhat you can and will do.
You're an overcomer, you'remore than a conqueror, and so
the greater the Holy Spirit thatis in you is greater than any
(17:51):
spirit in the world.
And so you got to remindyourself of what the word of God
says and confess that out ofyour mouth and watch these
things take place.
Stop accepting defeat, stopaccepting doubt, stop accepting
lies, stop accepting fear andanxiety and trauma and
(18:12):
loneliness.
That's not who God called youto be, and so we need.
Rob Dawson (18:17):
If it's not from God
, you don't have to accept it.
Yeah, if it's not from God, youcan reject it.
The Bible says to cast downevery thought and imagination
that attempts to exalt itselfagainst the knowledge of God.
If it's against the knowledgeof God's word, cast that thing
down.
Jesus was in the wilderness andSatan kept tempting him Y'all.
(18:37):
He had to down Jesus when hewas in the wilderness and Satan
kept tempting him y'all.
He kept saying it is written,it is written.
It is written, it is written.
Get behind me, satan.
I don't see that.
Listen, that's what you got todo, that's the practical.
But look, I got to share thesecond part of this, bro.
Listen to this, right?
Yeah, walk into the gate.
Called beautiful, peter fixeshis eyes on the lame man who had
(18:57):
been there for many years.
Right Daily it says that he wasat the gate.
Check this out, bro, check thisout.
The Peter said to him silverand gold I do not have, but what
I do I give to you In the nameof Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
(19:19):
rise up and walk.
And he took him by the righthand and he lifted him up and he
, immediately and immediately, his feet, ankle bones received
strength.
Glory to God.
They received strength, so heleaping up and stood up and
walked into the temple with them, walking, leaping and praising
(19:45):
God.
Javier Olguin (19:48):
Come on.
Rob Dawson (19:51):
Come on.
If that doesn't make peopleshout here on Faith on fire
today, I don't know what willthis man hear me out?
He was at that gate for manyyears.
The Bible says that he was lamefrom his mother's womb and they
laid at the gate of the templedaily for asking for alms.
Yeah, but this man received amiracle in one moment.
(20:14):
One conversation, one word fromGod can change your life
forever.
And the fact that I love howPeter grabbed his right hand,
bro, and he lifted him up.
Man, hey, how many times havewe as brothers had to lift each
other up?
Where I grab your hand, yougrab my hand, and we, like yo,
get up here to the word, bro,get up here to the higher level,
(20:35):
and so that's what God is doing.
If you're watching or listeningto this, I love that, man bro.
Let me just calm down.
Man Bro, this word, we justlove this word, y'all.
Man, I love what you said, wrong.
Javier Olguin (20:49):
Yeah, yeah, go
ahead.
Rob Dawson (20:54):
Bro.
He walked and leaped andpraised God and all the people
saw him walking and praising Godand they knew that it was he
who sat begging alms at thebeautiful gate of the temple and
they were filled with wonderand amazement at what had
happened to him.
Listen to me, child of God.
(21:17):
I want you to know that peopleare going to be amazed by your
breakthrough.
They're going to be amazed bythe things that God is going to
continue to do in your life.
All you got to do is hang withthe right company.
You get around some Peters andJohns, some people who can lift
you up in the word.
You get around this word.
You constantly flood your souland your mind with the word
(21:40):
Every single day.
Listen to Faith on Fire, if yougot to.
Every single day, get in yourBible.
Open up your Bible app, read adevotion, do whatever you have
to do to stay connected and toabide in the word of God,
because it's the word of Godthat gives you life.
It's the word of God.
That's God to help you getthrough your trials and your
tribulations.
It's the word of God.
It's going to help you stay ontop when you get on top.
Javier Olguin (22:01):
Yeah.
Rob Dawson (22:02):
Yeah, I love that
man, that they were amazed bro.
Javier Olguin (22:17):
Wow, they were
amazed.
They were amazed, man.
It says be very careful, then, how you live, not as unwise, but
as wise, and then check thisout.
It says making the most ofevery opportunity, because the
days are evil.
If we're talking about urgencyand being focused, we must learn
(22:44):
to take advantage of theopportunity, of the time, the
talent and the treasure that Godhas given us today.
What are we doing with theopportunities that God has given
us?
Let me tell you something.
You said something powerfulearlier, rob.
You said a moment with God canchange your life forever, and I
(23:06):
just want to tell you today, tonight, whatever time you're
listening to, take advantage ofthe moment, the time and the
opportunity that God has givenyou today to live.
Do not waste another minutebeing lethargic, being lazy,
sitting down, laying down,feeling hopeless.
(23:27):
You need to go out there and beeverything that God said you
are and seize the opportunitiesin the moment and take captive
of it.
Take captive of it and go outthere.
It says making the most ofevery opportunity.
Because why the days are evil?
The days are evil, the devil isevil, the devil is ugly.
(23:51):
But let me tell you somethingYou're an overcomer and greater
is the spirit in you, and Godhas something great and big for
you in your life, and so let'sremove the distractions.
Remove the disruptions, stopmaking excuses and start making
executions.
Come on.
Rob Dawson (24:13):
Hey, we're going to
end on that note, bro.
That is strong, listen.
Faith on fire, baby.
That's all I got to say.
