Speaker 1 (00:10):
This podcast is Faith Walk, and I'm your host, don
Carpenter.
Today I'm going to minister andspeak and encourage and
strengthen you regarding yourfaith.
The thought that I want you tothink about is abounding in
faith.
When we think of abounding, youare deliberately going to walk

(00:36):
by faith.
You're not going to be hesitant.
You're not going to be weak, you're going to be strong and
you're going to go forth inGod's plan and purpose for you.
You're facing the day.
God provided you with theability and strength to reach

(00:56):
out to Him and to believe foryour miracle.
Today I'm going to be readingto you from the second chapter
of the Corinthians.
When we read this word, therefore as ye abound in

(01:17):
everything, in faith, inutterance, in knowledge, in all
diligence, right here we havethe key to be able to abound and
how to abound and the steps toabound and what is required to
abound.
When we look at faith, thatmeans things which are

(01:41):
impossible with men or possiblewith God.
You may have the gift of faithwithin you, but you certainly
have the ability to move byfaith.
We find here that to engage orto be deliberate with our faith,

(02:02):
we have to utter, we have tospeak a life word into the
situation.
There can be nothing there tolook at another choice or
another option.
Faith is faith and there is nota second option.

(02:23):
When you're moving by faith, engage, you're aware and
conscious of what you have to do, you're determined, you've
already studied it out, anddiligently.
It means that you're going tospeedily walk toward it, you're

(02:44):
going to speedily engage, you'regoing to speedily be deliberate
.
I have found my experience inmy life.
I have found that when I askthe Lord for direction and the
Lord speaks to me, I know thatit's the direction the Holy

(03:08):
Spirit speaks to me.
I believe that speed iscritical.
I believe that striving andpromoting, pressing in it's
necessary for the victory youwill become.
This is an old, true sayingwhat your tongue says about you,

(03:36):
what your tongue is going tosay about this situation,
because the heart knows what isnecessary and the tongue is
going to speak it and bring itfrom the invisible to the
invisible.
You might have had many pastdisappointments.

(03:57):
We all have unfulfilledexpectations.
I'm confident of that.
But our lives will only beimprisoned if we dwell upon that
.
There's no hope of us evercoming out.
And when you look back on yourpast expectations and they

(04:19):
didn't work out the way you feltthey should have worked out,
and if you dwell upon that, it'sonly going to continue to be
with empty and nothing is goingto be working and you're going
to feel like you're always afailure and the enemy is going
to play on that.

(04:40):
It's just going to continue tohold you back.
You have no vision for yourfuture.
That's what happens when wedwell upon unfulfilled
expectations.
You know God has great plans forus, according to Jeremiah 29
and 11.
God has a plan for you.

(05:01):
Today, and no doubt when you'rein prayer, no doubt when you
were waiting before the Lord onthis matter, the Holy Spirit has
already spoken to you andyou're thinking oh, that would
be wonderful.
Oh, that's something that Ineed.
I really wish that this wouldhappen.

(05:22):
Listen, faith is already there.
Activate it, start movingforward.
Remember what I said holding onto your past failures, okay.
That will prevent you fromgoing into your now, into what
God wants to accomplish with youright now.

(05:43):
And when we move by faith, wehave to trust in the reality of
the supernatural.
Either it's God.
Either God is God, or elsewe're allowing something else to
be God in our lives.
We can't depend upon men.
Thank God for all the people inour lives that help us.

(06:06):
But you know, sometimes theywill look at us and they will
say to us you can't do that, orthat's not for you, or that's
never been done.
Do not allow the enemy to robfrom you because you are moving
by faith.

(06:27):
Remember, you're beingdeliberate in your engagement,
you're speaking the word of lifewhen you utter it out and
you're being diligent.
That means speedily, you'regoing to be about it.
And when it talks about abounding in faith, it doesn't

(06:47):
just mean some mediocre or justsome acceptable or just up to
the mark.
It means super abounding, itmeans excelling, it means going
over the top.
When you go over the top inyour confidence and in your

(07:09):
faith, you're going to findquite quickly that you're going
to have to start running to keepup to what God's doing in your
life.
I have found that the word oflife which we use when we
exercise faith, that this iscreative words.

(07:32):
These are creative words.
These are words that, as wespeak, they create.
You don't just say, oh, I wish.
No, you say I decree, I declareit is so.
Ephesians 3.20 is a greatencouragement.

(07:52):
It says you'll do exceedingly, above all, that we can ask or
think according to the powerthat worketh in us.
God's Holy Spirit powersworking in you and you are
releasing your faith.
Do you know that your faith isabsolutely essential in your

(08:13):
growth and in your developmentand in what you require from the
Lord?
Jesus talked to me Remember Ijust spoke about this a few
weeks ago.
Remember, in the boat and thestorm, and the disciples
couldn't handle it and theybecame frightened.
What did Jesus say to them?
Where is your faith, you know?
And then there was people hewould heal and he would make

(08:36):
comments to them.
He'd say I've never seen suchgreat faith Like these are
people who are exercisingsomething that's above and
beyond where they're findingthemselves.
Don't be conformed to thisworld.
Don't be conformed to thisworld's thinking.
There are many truths, thereare deep treasures in faith that

(09:03):
the world has very little graspof.
But there are people of God,spirit-filled people of God,
that have a great understanding, have a great grasp on this
wonderful truth and somethingthat's called faith.
So when you get ready toexercise in your faith and the

(09:27):
enemy sees or your fleshsuddenly starts to rise above
your confidence, starting topush and trying to pull down
your faith.
You know what you should do.
Do not think of the negative.
Cast that down.
Don't listen to those who saythat it can't be done.
If you've heard from God, youare now going to start moving

(09:52):
into the realm of abundance.
You've risen above.
You've risen above that just tohave enough attitude, because
when you and I need a miracle,we need to push and we need to
speedily and excel and get intothat realm that God has reserved

(10:16):
for us.
I'm not conformed, I'm not heldback by what man tells me or by
what the world says or by whatmy past experience has been.
I'm breaking free, I'm risingabove.
I cannot be held back becausesomebody else has been

(10:36):
discouraged, they've listened toa lie, they think that it's not
for them.
That's not me.
I have to have, I have to hangaround, I have to believe.
I have to be with people whohave confidence in exercising
their faith and people wholisten to what I'm saying and

(10:59):
people who are part of my weeklyfaith walk podcast.
You are being strengthened andyou're going to speak creatively
into the situation.
Do you know that words give lifeto thoughts?
We get thoughts in the back ofour head and stuff tries to

(11:24):
creep in, listen.
When I have a God thought andwhen God has inspired me
something, I have to startbringing that forth quickly and
I will declare it and I will sayit out loud.
I say by faith, I believe thatI am healed in the name of Jesus

(11:46):
.
I'm going to step up in thereand I'm going to make it mine.
Can I take you back to a placein Proverbs 18-20?
Here's what it says A man'sbelly shall be satisfied with
the fruit of his mouth, and withthe increase of his lips shall

(12:11):
he be filled.
Let's look at it this way Outof your innermost being flows
rivers of living water.
Your innermost being is whereour battles are formed.
I'm going to be satisfied withthe fruit of my mouth.
In other words, I'm going tosee the result of the fruit of
my mouth.

(12:32):
And it says in Proverbs 18-20,with the increase of my lips,
the more that I speak it, I'mgoing to be filled.
Now let's look at the next verse, verse 21 of Proverbs 18.
And it says Death and life arein the power of the tongue, and

(12:54):
in this case it's your tongue.
There's death and there's lifethere, and they that love it
shall eat the fruit thereof.
But when you give your heart toJesus, when you are filled with
the Holy Ghost and when you area believer, that's going to
move by faith.

(13:15):
The power that's in your tongueis the power, the words,
creative words of life, andyou're going to speak it and
you're going to see the results, and you're going to eat the
fruit and we're going to hang onto that.
I'd rather believe God.
If I have a choice, I wouldrather believe God and I'm going

(13:43):
to not allow and let my mind goto this place that it's not
going to happen.
That's not an option.
Faith doesn't say, well, let'sgive it a try.
He says let's do it.
