Don Carpenter (00:23):
Thank you for
joining me today.
God is so good to us.
Today I'm going to share withyou some things that's going to
excite your faith, that's goingto just cause you to come alive.
My name is Don Carpenter.
I am a minister here in Canada.
I've been in the ministry 62years.
(00:44):
I'm a Bible college president.
I travel all over the world andpreach, I do conferences, and
today I'm spending some timewith you.
We live in what the bible calls"E conomics are up and down for
many people.
We have wars and rumors of wars.
(01:12):
People are wondering what doesthis all ?
In the midst of it all, peopleare concerned about their
well-being.
Are we going to enough financesto survive or will I have a
place to live?
When we're in the work of theLord and the ministry, God shows
(01:42):
us things.
How can we make a difference?
God has equipped us withsomething that's called faith
and as a believer, aspirit-filled believer, when you
release faith, it requiresboldness, there's a risk.
(02:07):
People may say, "what if I doit and nothing happens?
I remember one time I wasministering in a church in Nova
Scotia, Canada.
I've been in several nights ofmeetings, as I entered the
church people people were sayingto me "I brought my brother,
(02:39):
he's going to get saved tonightand I know that when you pray
for my mother, she's going to behealed, and so on, like this.
And I was spending some timejust talking to the Lord just
before I went out to preach andthe church was absolutely packed
.
There wasn't a seat left in thehouse and I said, lord, what if
(03:05):
this doesn't happen?
And Lord, what if I pray forsomebody and it doesn't work?
And what if I release my faithand nothing happens?
And I felt the Lord was sayingto me he said Don, don, don,
whose church is this?
And I said, well, it's yourchurch, lord.
And then he says and who do youbelong to?
(03:27):
And I said well, I belong toyou, lord.
I realized that it's God thatworks and I have to have the
faith.
And my faith rose to such apoint, right then and there,
(03:47):
there was no doubt in my mind.
It's the Lord's work, I am notin the kingdom of God working
for the things from a positionof weakness.
God has equipped every believerwith faith.
what If nothing happens?
(04:17):
As this thought came to me, andI'm sure it was a God thought
what if something does?
One has to step out and believeGod.
We are running for our life.
Everything that you do, you puteverything into it.
(04:39):
Jesus set the great example.
He had to be about the father'sbusiness and that was exactly
what he was doing.
I have learned that that once Icommit to something, I must
(05:02):
be prepared to carry thatmission through to to where it's
supposed to go.
When you proceed, you know, andthere's going to be probably
resistance.
You may get the thought "Ican't do this.
(05:23):
I probably nobody wants tolisten.
Listen to me.
Faith in God brings forthmiracles.
Faith is a gift that God hasgiven to us and we must be
strong in our will and in ourpurpose.
ThatYou must have faith thatyou heard from God and that you
(05:45):
are going to do it.
Once you commit, it isabsolutely amazing what will
happen.
I could tell you, story afterwhen I've been in situations
where I did not have any ideahow I was going to get out of it
.
Things were against me.
(06:05):
I would be someplace and andI'm thinking, lord, I don't even
know where to turn today, and Iwould bring it before the Lord
and I felt like, in the spiritof God, that he would tell me
what to do and then I would stepout and I would do it.
Always remember that you must beconfident.
(06:28):
You must be sure that you are achild of God and when God tells
you to do it, you must beconfident that your faith is
going to be released and it'sgoing to happen.
You have to be fearless.
(06:48):
Your confidence has to be suchthat your thinking "of course,
we're going to succeed.
Failure is not an option.
Okay, I'm going to be bold.
Member intimidation We'llalways try to see if it can find
somebody that it can cower.
(07:15):
When you're standing in themidst of a trial, and you know
that you've heard from God thatyou know this is what you're
supposed to be doing, and You'regoing to do it, and you can
expect that it's going to happen.
This enemy, called fear thatcomes , remember every piece of
(07:43):
ground that you have taken, thatyou had to fight to get there.
You had to conquer that, whether it was your fear or
overcoming your limitations,whatever it was.
That's the way it was withJesus.
Paul, the Apostle that we readabout in Scripture, or hear
about great men and women offaith today and things that they
(08:06):
perform and do.
We all fight enemies, but Ithank God that he's the one that
is our defense.
He tells us to go and fight thefight of faith, and that's what
I do.
That's what you're going to do.
You're going to conquer, you'regoing to stand on what 1
(08:29):
Timothy 6 says, you're going tofight the good fight of faith.
You've had a vision.
You're going to unleash thatvision.
You're going to remove everymental, every spiritual
roadblock, and you know what theoutcome is going to be when you
do that.
It's going to be victory,victory.
(08:49):
You're going to accomplish yourmission and you're going to
move forward and you're going toattain your goal.
When that happens and yourelease your faith, it creates
an opportunity.
Faith creates an opportunity.
(09:11):
Many people when they faith maypeople say, "I would like to do
that.
Can you imagine what you coulddo if you thought that
absolutely nothing would standin your way?
Can you imagine how strong youwould be and how bold you would
(09:31):
be?
Oh, wow, see, here may well betimes that you will run
unopposed, like nothing is goingto be there to hinder you, and
there are going to be timeswhere it seems like everything's
against you.
B e bold and just keep movingforward, as if there's no limits
(09:54):
, as if there's no walls, as ifthere's no restrictions.
That's what faith does.
Faith removes the walls, itremoves the restrictions.
(10:15):
Maybe another Christian believerwill speak and ask someone "
the ever-thought-about giventheir lives to Christ.
And maybe they're thinking, well, I'm too evil, too sinful,
I've done too many things wrong.
I couldn't do that.
God loves us and God forgivesus.
The blood of Christ coversevery sin and when we come
(10:38):
through that, we accept Jesus asLord.
We are We're going to be boldand move forward.
As a Believer, we are going toview things differently.
We don't look at what we havein the natural Because, see, as
(11:07):
a believer, it's Christ, it'sGod working through us.
We're vessels, we're channels.
We're vessels that God worksthrough and releases his power
through.
That's why he uses God you .
God has things for you to dothat only you can do.
(11:31):
You have people to speak toabout about the things of God,
and you do it so well and that'swhy God sends you to them.
If you will be open before Godand say "God, you can move
through my life and I've gotfaith and I'm believing that
you're with me.
That will create opportunitiesright there in itself.
(11:56):
I've often heard it said overthe years that the hardest part
of your mission, the mostdifficult of anything you feel
that God wants you to do, themost difficult time is the
starting time.
It's when you're going to sayI'm going to do it and I'm going
(12:20):
to take steps right now and I'mgoing to start it.
When that happens, we got someidea that faith is blind and all
of that.
No, when we face the realitythat's before us, you're free to
act.
(12:41):
Always pursue God's best foryou.
Believe that you're theinstrument that God is going to
work through, just as easy, just as strong, just as powerful
, just as anointed as whoeverthe greatest Christian you think
(13:01):
in your mind is.
God wants you to be that way.
Always live and move toward thepeak of your ability.
Always do your best.
(13:23):
Don't allow anybody to put youdown or the enemy will say "you
can't do that.
What if you do it and fail?
Remember what I said.
Remember what I said Faith is arisk, but when you know that
God is with you and you believethat that's what you should be
doing, do it.
It's going to happen.
(13:44):
You already picture in yourmind.
You already picture in yourmind what the result is going to
be, but yet the enemy says nottoday.
The enemy may say well, there'ssomebody else who can do it
better.
That is an adversity that'sthere before you and you need to
defeat that.
And you're going to encounterthis.
(14:05):
Don't think that you're theonly person that encounters that
.
You're going to encounter it,but I'm going to tell you what
God has made the way for you.
So you just step out and you doit.
We're thinking "if it's God'swill, okay, if something is
(14:30):
God's will, or this is what I'msupposed to do, how can I?
Is this a once in a lifetimething?
Is this going to happen again, like if I do this today and then
tomorrow, what if I run out offaith?
You're not going to run out offaith.
Okay, it's there, it's in you.
(14:52):
God wants you to release it.
Okay, you just establish somepurpose in your mind that I'm
going to live to the peak of myability today and that I am
going to have a mindset that Iam going to live a fulfilled
life and every day, when I cometo the end of the day, I'm going
to be able to look back on itand say I achieved today what I
(15:16):
felt that I should achieve.
You had faith for it and God'sgoing to honor your faith.
You should always, look atattaining outstanding personal
achievements in your life.
Unlock the doors.
(15:37):
The door is there and God wantsyou to turn the handle, seize
it.
Step into this new faith newlevel that God wants to give you
.
Don't be held back.
you.
be held back by what others saybecause sa can't do.
You're going to meet people whosay what you can't do.
(15:59):
Whenever people tell me that Ican't do something, what
they're really saying to me isthey can't do it, but I can do
it because in Christ I can doall things.
I'm going to release faith andI'm going to do it, and I want
(16:19):
you to free yourself from theweakness of others.
Read the Bible in the morning, read a verse, pray, get the mind
of God.
God will speak to you aboutwhat you've been praying about.
Today is a good day to startwalking out and seeing what's
(16:39):
going to happen.
Continually renew yourselfevery day, renew your mindset,
speak to yourself.
Whatever your name is, say thatand say you can do it.
I will say Don, "you can do it.
And thank you, lord, for yourspirit.
(17:01):
Thank you, lord, that I'm yourchild, your son.
Thank you, father, that I haveears to hear and eyes to see and
a mouth to speak with and I'vegot feet to walk, hands to work.
I can do it.
God has spoke to me and I'mgoing to do it by faith.
Yeah, I'm just going to do it.
(17:21):
Why are you here?
God told me to be here.
This is what God wants me to doand I'm going to do it.
(17:43):
Whatever it is, Don't stop andthink about.
Just think," God is going tocome on the scene.
I'm going to release my faith,I'm going to stand with them and
we're going to see a turnaround.
(18:03):
So always, whatever you dream, whatever your goal is in God,
always expect to exceed that, always expect greater.
Am I going to do, because JesusChrist is with me and I've got
faith.
I'm going to pray with you, father, in the name of Jesus.
(18:28):
I pray this precious one to bestrong.
I rebuke the enemy that triesto tell them that they cannot
receive from God, they can InChrist.
All things are possible, and Iminister encouragement today in
Jesus' name.
Amen.
