Experience the transformative power of worship and faith as we traverse through awe-inspiring stories of two remarkable women. One, held captive within her own body, and another seemingly confined by age and frailty, both found liberation and renewal through the power of praise. The act of worship became a spiritual key, unlocking dormant potentials and revealing the omnipotent power of God that can transcend physical limitations.

Can the power that resurrected Christ from the dead also breathe life into our mortal bodies? That's the incredible promise we explore, leaning on the timeless words in Romans 8:11. Journey with us as we recount the unforgettable story of Mrs. Fowler, a woman who, onboard an ambulance, experienced first-hand the rejuvenating power of the Holy Spirit when worship filled the air. Her story reminds us to remain steadfast in our faith, not swayed by our sensory perceptions but solely guided by the Word of God.

Finally, let's dare to carry the torch of faith and testimony outside the confines of our sacred spaces. The gospel's power is not restricted to church walls; it permeates every facet of our daily lives, from the supermarket queue to the football arena. Hear our call to be bold, to muster the courage needed to share your faith with those around you. Together, let's ignite change in the world, not with grand displays but with our heartfelt cries to God and the potency of our testimonies.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, good morning, welcome to Faith Walk with.
I'm your host, william Carroll, and I'm telling you why it's
just such a beautiful day outtoday and the Lord has just been
speaking to my heart and Iwanted to.
I've got about 16 minutes leftthat I can do this month, so I

(00:23):
wanted to do a short one, but aone that I feel is led of God.
I'm going to tell you what I'mso excited today.
You know you listen to thispodcast.
You know what it's about takingGod out of the box.
You know about how God has donewonders, miracles in my life
and the lives of others aroundme, by me learning the word,

(00:43):
sharing the word and doing whatGod leads me to do.
He wants to do the same withyou.
All right, so, in the name ofJesus, let's start today.
Listen, when I was working onthe with the EMT EMT as an EMT
with East Texas Medical CenterAmbulance Service here in
Carthage, texas, a lot of timeswe had to do what we call

(01:06):
transfers.
Now, a transfer is somewhereyou go and you pick up somebody,
either at home and you carrythem to the hospital, or you
know, you take them to thehospital home or to the nursing
home and there was this ladythat we always went and picked
up, precious lady, but she wasin a a position with her arms

(01:27):
locked and her her wrist over inher fist grabbed, and she never
turned her head, she nevermoved, she never turned, she
never talked, she never didanything, you know.
And we'd go pick her up and wepicked her up at the nursing
home this night and I was in theback of the ambulance and I was
just praising God, I will pray,I just, you know, I would say

(01:48):
Lord, you know, and I tried totalk to her, mrs So-and-So, you
know how you doing, are youdoing all right, are you okay?
Well, every now and then she'dgrunt, you know, you know, but
she had no communications.
You know, it was really pitiful, you know it.
Just break your heart to seethis.
So I'm just praying, lord, showme what to say, show me what to
do.

(02:08):
Lord, open up, open up herheart, lord, open up her ears,
let her, let her hear Lord.
And of course she could hearreally good, you know, I guess,
I guess she could hear and Iguess she could understand.
I don't know.
The nurses said she couldn'tunderstand, she couldn't hear,
she didn't know what was goingon.
She never knew what was goingon, but you know, we don't

(02:29):
always know what's happening.
And I'll tell you what.
This shook me.
This woke me up.
This gave me a view of how howthe flesh and the spirit work
opposite.
All right.
So we're sitting I'm sittingthere in the back of the
ambulance, you know, and I juststart worshiping God.
I just say Hallelujah, lord, Ipraise you, I worship you, lord,

(02:53):
I magnify your holy name.
And I just began singing and Ijust began praising and, oh my
Lord, this lady came to life.
She began praising Jesus.
Thank you Jesus, oh my Jesus, Ilove my Jesus.
And man, I mean you almost hadpicked me up off the floor of

(03:17):
the ambulance man I'm looking ather and her whole continents
has changed.
Her whole body had changed.
Her flesh was now not allcrumpled and crunched, her face
wasn't crunched, she wasworshiping God.
And I said Do you know Jesus?
And she said, yes, I know myJesus, I love my Jesus.
And she began worshiping andpraising him.

(03:39):
And I began praising him withher and as soon as we stopped,
boom, right back to where shewas before and she wouldn't talk
.
She couldn't talk, she couldn'tget anything out.
And I'm saying, lord, what inthe world, lord, what in the
world is going on?
And I was at church one nightand we was having a revival and

(04:01):
I mean I'm telling you what Godwas moving.
Powerful, powerfully was Godmoving?
This was back in the 90s, early90s, I guess, mid 90s, maybe
late 90s, I don't know, but wewas having a powerful revival
and man, at the end of theservice we had such an altar
call and people were coming upand we were ministering to

(04:21):
people and God was blessingpeople, people was getting
blessed.
It was just, man, you had to bethere.
Well, I looked over and therewas this little old lady, mrs
Fowler, and I mean she was kindof like this lady, but she could
walk and she would come tochurch and somebody would bring
her to church and she was kindof crumpled up and she kind of
had a hunchback and she was areal dark, complexed lady and

(04:46):
just, you know, just looked aged, very, very, very aged, you
know, even for the age she was, which she was old, but she was
very age.
Now her husband had passed awayand he was a assembly's, a God
preacher, is what she told me.
And anyway, we were worshipingand we were just praising God

(05:07):
and we were singing and God wasmoving and we were praying for
the people.
And I tell you what I looked, Iwent and I got tired and I sat
down over there and I was justwatching what God was doing in
everybody's life.
You know, sometimes it's goodto sit back and watch what God's
doing in every life.
And I turned around and Ilooked at her and this lady.
I couldn't believe it.

(05:27):
There was a complete changeover her.
She was standing up and she wasworshiping her Savior, her God.
She was singing, she waspraising, she was worshiping and
the continents that I've seenon her was a light constant.
She was a dark lady, I told you.
She was dark, complexed, verydark complexed, you know, and

(05:50):
and she was her eyes was wideopen and her eyes you could
hardly tell them.
They were dark, you know, buther eyes look blue.
Her face was shining, shiningwith light, and she was standing
up straight and she wasworshiping God and praising God
and singing.
And I, like you know, I took adouble look.
I look back and look, you know, and open my eyes, you know,

(06:14):
because I don't know what'sgoing on, what in the world is
going on.
So later I asked somebody, Isaid did you all see Miss Fowler
in the service?
And they go, yeah.
And I said did you see herchange?
And they said, yeah, she wasbright, she was standing up
straight.
Her eyes look blue, she wasworshiping God.
Now let me tell you somethingthat wouldn't have dealt.

(06:34):
So don't even go there, noteven taking that as an hint, but
listen, I'm going to tell youwhat it was and see, because I
prayed about this and I said, lord, what was it?
What was it, lord?
And I got to get a move onbecause I'm running out of time,
and it says but in, in, in, inin.
Oh, dang it, I just lost it.
Hold on, I'm sorry, it's inRomans.

(06:56):
Romans, chapter 8.
Romans, chapter 8.
Let's get there right quick.
Romans, chapter 8.
Where is it?
Romans chapter 8 says but if thespirit of him that raised up
Jesus from the dead Dwells inyou, he that raised Christ from
the dead to quicken your mortalbodies by the spirit that

(07:17):
dwelleth in you, so if you havethe spirit of God in you and and
see, this whole chapter istalking about that, that that
sin Causes death, well, okay, sowe have a spiritual body and we
have a physical, physical bodyor an earthly body.
Our spiritual bodily is Insideour earthly body, kind of like a
glove, the, the coronal body, the earthly body.

(07:39):
The is a glove over thespiritual body.
All right, so our outside Canlook dead and can be dying, but
the inside is life because ofthe breath that Christ gives us.
Listen to this, listen to itagain.
It says but if the spirit ofhim that raised Christ from the
dead, if the spirit of him thatraised Jesus from the dead

(08:01):
Dwells in you, if he lives inyou, whoo, he that raised up
Christ from the dead shallquicken.
You know what that word quickenmeans?
That word quickens mean givelife to your body so it can
quicken your body, your mortalbody, this body.
It quickens your mortal body, not your spiritual body, because

(08:21):
your spiritual body is alive.
By by what?
By the spirit that dwells inyou, by the spirit that dwells
in you.
So I got to praying about this.
You know, here's two thingsthat happen Now.
They didn't happen at the sametime.
It was.
I don't, I can't even tell youif it was years apart.
If it was the same year, Ibelieve it was a few years apart

(08:43):
, but, but I got thinking aboutit and I started saying I need
to know, I need to know, I needto know what this is, I need to
know what, what is happening, lord, and, and this is the
scripture that the Lord sent, sent me to, he sent me to Romans
8, 11.
I'm gonna read it again becauseI want you to get it in you, I

(09:04):
want you to, I want you tounderstand.
Get it in a feed on it, eat onit, pray on it, meditate on it.
All right, it says but thespirit of him, if the spirit of
him, if the spirit of him, who'sthe spirit of him?
The spirit of God, the HolySpirit, if the spirit of him
that raised up Jesus?
See, the spirit of God had toleave Jesus.

(09:25):
That's why Jesus cried out atthe cross Father, why have you
forsaken me?
Because, because, for sin tohave killed Jesus, the spirit of
God, the Holy Spirit, whichcame upon him as a dove, had to
leave him so that death couldenter in and kill him.
See, he would.
God didn't forsake him.

(09:46):
He knew what was gonna happen, but when he felt the spirit of
life, leave him, he said my God,my God wise, you forsaken me,
knowing again that he would pickup his life.
And it says but if the spiritof him that raised up Jesus from
the dead Dwell in you and who,and me and me, if it dwells in

(10:06):
me, he that raised up Christfrom the dead, who, god?
If God that raised Christ fromthe dead shall also quicken,
quicken, give life to my mortalbody by his spirit that dwells
in me".
So I was praying about this man.
This is a powerful thing thatwe have to get as Christian that

(10:28):
the power of God is in us, thesame power that raised Christ
from the dead.
If we believe in Jesus, we askhim into our heart and the Holy
Spirit is our life, the power ofGod that raised, that raised
Christ from the dead.
It lives in us and it canquicken our mortal body, it can
give life to our mortal body.
We'll see these ladies thatnight.
Well, the night of the praise, where Mrs Fowler started dancing

(10:51):
and shouting and she waspraising God, worshiping God,
man and her whole continentchanged.
Why?
Because the glory of God wasall over her.
Have you ever heard of theChicano glory of God?
The Chicano glory of God iswhen it fills a room.
It changes.
It changes earthly things.
Well, I'm going to tell you, itwas all over Mrs Fowler's face,

(11:13):
man, she was dancing.
You know, I'm not the only onethat saw it, there was Meany in
the church that saw it.
There was a lot in the churchthat saw it and said I can't
believe what I see.
You know, but me, I'm going tosay I believe what I saw,
because I saw something that Goddid.
A miracle man she was.
I'm telling you, it was soexciting to see this.
It was exciting to see this.

(11:34):
Well, what happened?
It was the spirit in her, thespirit of life in her
straightened up her back becauseshe was worshiping God, and
spirit and truth.
It straightened her back.
It caused the glory of God tocome upon her.
Now, after she left, and afterthe presence of God had left,
did she go back?

(11:54):
Yes, her physical body wentback to where it was, you know.
But I saw it, the lady in the,in the, the ambulance, when we
began praying.
How did her, how did she beginable to speak and to pray and to
sing?
Because it was her spirit.
See, she had fed her spirit onthe word of life, on the word of

(12:16):
God, the word of life.
She had fed her spirit on theword of God and on the word of
life.
And when that spirit waschallenged, when, when I began
worshiping God, then her spiritinside that wheat, that frail
body, jesus brought life to thatbody and she began to worship

(12:37):
and she began to praise God.
Through the Spirit.
I mean, I'm telling you, some ofyou need to hear that today.
See, the Holy Spirit is alife-giving spirit.
It can quicken your mortal body, man.
I thank God that it's quickened.
My mortal body it has quickened.
I thank you that God that ishealing me from the inside out,
from all that they say that Ihave.

(12:58):
You know, I'm not going to sayit, I'm not going to accept it,
I'm not going to believe it.
I'm not going to believe it.
I'm gonna believe what the Wordof God says.
See, by faith.
I'm not moved by what I see, feel, hear, smell or taste.
I'm moved only by the Word ofGod and faith in the Word of God
and faith in my God.
That's what I moved.
I need to be moved by faith andnot by sight.

(13:20):
Amen, all right, I hope thisfirst stirs you up.
I tell you I've been on a roll.
Today I've made about three ofthese and this is just a little
mini bonus that I could dobefore the end of the month,
before I get my next three hoursworth of podcasting that I can
do, and I wanted to lay it down.
I wanted to share with you thatthe Spirit of God is in us, the

(13:45):
same spirit that raised Christfrom the dead people.
Come on, let's get God out ofthe box.
Let's take Him out of church.
Let's take Him into theworkplace.
Let's just share Jesus in theworkplace.
Let's share Jesus, let's bebold to lay hands on the sick
and pray for Him.
That's the Word of God saysthem that believe shall lay
hands on the sick and they shallrecover.

(14:06):
Come on, I hope I'm stirringyou up.
I hope I'm stirring you up.
If you don't believe me, get inthe Word, find it, get in the
Word and show me where.
It's not for today, because I'mtelling you my God didn't just
say hey, it's for then, it's notfor now.
My God is alive God, a livingGod, a God of the truth, a God
that stands forth for His Wordand will back His Word.
God's going to back His Wordand I'm going to tell you.

(14:28):
If you start believing in itand you start acting on it,
you'll start seeing God move.
You know, I'm telling you go toprayer.
Go to prayer, ask God, ask God.
Will you use me like that?
Will you use me?
Look, every time you gosomewhere to the supermarket, to
the volleyball game, to thefootball game it's not about the
football game.
The supermarket, it's a placefor you to go and to minister to

(14:50):
people.
It's a place for you to go andshare your faith.
You know, no, you might not bea preacher, that's okay.
Share your faith with somebody.
Tell them what Jesus has donein your life.
Be bold Until the next time.
Listen, I'm fixing to have tosign off of here.
I'm fixing to have to get offbecause I am running out of time
.
But I love you, jesus loves you.
And if you don't know Jesus, ask Him into your heart, believe

(15:14):
on Him with your heart, confessHim with your mouth, and you
shall be saved.
You'll be a new creature, created in Christ Jesus, and
then start learning about HisWord.
So until next time, I love you, jesus loves you.
Get stirred up, get fired up,because we are the ones that can
change the world that we livein right now, and God is waiting

(15:37):
on the next generation to stepforward.
And it will, he will.
He will, because if we don'tcry out, if we don't cry out for
God and testify, then the Rockswill.
In Jesus' name, amen.
