(00:46):
I am so glad you're here today.
And if you're new to thepodcast, welcome! You are in the
right place if you're lookingfor all things faith,
confidence, sales, andmarketing.
In this episode today, we'retalking about something we all

face (01:01):
fear of failure, and how to overcome it while celebrating
those small wins along the way.
We're gonna be exploringpractical ways to move past that
fear, trust God through thechallenges, and notice even the
tiniest little victories that wenormally would just skip past

(01:21):
because they're small.
We don't want to think aboutthem.
We want big victories, right?
Well, the small ones are just asimportant.
That is what helps yourconfidence grow each and every
single day.
So without further ado, if youare ready, let's dive in and
let's pray.
Heavenly Father, thank you forbringing each of us here today
for giving us breath and theopportunity to grow in you.

(01:45):
Lord, I know that fear can creepinto our hearts.
Fear of failure, fear ofrejection, fear of not being
enough.
But Lord, you didn't give usthat spirit of fear.
You gave us a spirit full ofpower, full of love, and full of
self-discipline.

(02:07):
Father, I ask that you wouldfill us with courage today.
This week, this month, thisyear, Lord.
Help us to see fear for what itis and not let it control our
actions.
Give us the strength to take thenext step, even when it feels
uncomfortable.
Remind us that every small stepforward is a victory, and every

(02:32):
effort we make in faith mattersto you.
Lord, I also pray for our heartsto remain grateful.
Help us to notice the smallwins, those quiet victories that
normally we don't even notice.
And Lord, those moments whereyour hand is clearly at work in
our lives, Father, I pray thatwe acknowledge you and that we

(02:54):
remain grateful.
Father, may we celebrate thesewins with joy, knowing that you
are guiding us one step at atime and you are in this with
us.
You are in the trenches with us,Lord.
Thank you for your presence inour challenges and your guidance
in our decisions.
Father, help us to trust youfully and to surrender our

(03:16):
worries and to keep movingforward with confidence in your
plan.
In Jesus' name, amen.
Fear is something that we alldeal with.
No matter who we are, no matterhow far along we are, we all
deal with fear.
Even the top, top people inwhatever industry you're in, we

(03:39):
all have fear.
We just have better ways ofovercoming it and better ways of
dealing with it.
But especially when we'restepping into those new
opportunities or we're trying togrow our business and our lives.
But here's the good news God didnot give us a spirit of fear.

(04:00):
God did not give you a spirit offear.
He did not, he absolutely didnot.
You know where that came from.
You guys know where that camefrom.
Second Timothy 1:7 says, For thespirit God gave us does not make
us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.
So I want you to take a momentjust to think about that.

(04:22):
Power, love, andself-discipline.
God has equipped us to takeaction even when that fear shows
up.
And I don't know if you haveacknowledged this or not, but it
says do not fear in the Bibleenough times for the entire
year.

(04:42):
It says 366 or 365.
I don't remember, but it saysthat enough every single day.
Do not be afraid.
Do not be afraid.
Do not be afraid, you guys.
Do not let that fear overcomeyou and be part of your
identity.
We are not meant to live ourlives in fear.

(05:03):
With power.
God has given us the ability tomove forward with love.
If you are focusing on God'slove, fear loses its grip on
you.
You do not have enough fear tokeep like holding yourself back
because God's love is so strong,it is so powerful, and with

(05:25):
God's love, we can overcome allof the obstacles, especially
that fear.
Self-discipline.
Even when it's uncomfortable, wecan train ourselves to take
those small steps consistently.
And it's those small steps thathelp us overcome that fear as
well.
So you might be feeling fearright now as you're listening to

(05:48):
this.
Fear of fail fear of fear offailing, fear of being judged,
fear of not being enough.
And that is okay.
It is okay to be in fear.
It's okay to feel fear.
It's natural.
We are human beings.
But it's not okay to continue tolive in fear.

(06:09):
You can choose to take that nextstep, leaning on God's strength.
God is here with us.
And I want you to lean towardsGod as you're feeling that fear
and go, Lord, give me thestrength to overcome this
challenge.
Lord, give me the strength toovercome this fear.
Lord, give me the strength towhatever it is that you're
dealing with.
God is with you in the trenchesthrough all of the obstacles,

(06:31):
all of the setbacks.
Setbacks happen.
Sometimes life in businessdoesn't go as planned.
It happens.
Maybe a client says no, maybe aproject failed.
Maybe things didn't work out theway that you'd hoped.
I need you to trust that God isshaping your story even in those
moments.
Those challenges don't mean thatyou're failing.

(06:51):
There are opportunities to grow, they're opportunities to learn,
and they're opportunities tostrengthen your faith.
I need you to remember that youdon't have to have it all
figured out.
Take actions, surrender thatoutcome to God and keep moving
forward in faith.
You don't have to have theentire journey planned out.
You don't have to plan 10 yearsfrom now because through that

(07:15):
planning, that puts us incontrol.
That does not let God control.
We want to trust God andsurrender through these
obstacles while you're runningthis business, while you're
planning, while you're I mean, Ipray before I do the I never
want it.
I'm gonna be honest here for asecond, you guys.

(07:35):
I did not want to do thispodcast at all.
And we're now currently sittingat top 3% podcast globally.
I did not want to start thispodcast.
I was so scared.
I was so afraid.
Who's gonna want to listen tome?
Who's gonna want to learn fromme?
What do I have to teach theworld?
Blah, blah, blah.

(07:56):
Like I was so stuck in thatfear, and God's like, no, I need
you to do this podcast.
This is part of your calling, this is part of your ministry.
I need you to trust me.
I need you to surrender and Ineed you just to take that step
out.
I need you to take that leap andjust know that it's going to
work out.
You may not see the big picture, but I see the big picture.

(08:18):
He saw me at 3%.
He saw me at 1%.
He knows that this podcast isgoing to make waves through the
entrepreneurship industry.
I don't know that.
I did not know that.
I certainly did not know that.
I was so afraid of doing thispodcast, but I took that leap
and I kept going.
I kept pushing.

(08:38):
And here we are today at top 3%.
So trust God through thosechallenges, trust God through
those fears, and know that Hewill catch you even when you
fall.
So, with that being said, celebrate those wins.
It's so easy to overlookprogress when we're focused on
the big picture.
But celebrating even thesmallest wins is so crucial for

(09:02):
building that confidence andthat momentum.
A small win can be something assimple as sending that email
you've been avoiding, writingthat email for your marketing
list, completing a task you'vebeen procrastinating for days,
for weeks, for months to do,showing up even when you didn't
feel like it.
That is a really big one there.

(09:24):
Showing up even when you didn'tfeel like it.
That is still a win.
It doesn't have to be somethingthat is measurable.
Even just something as simple aswaking up and showing up for the
day.
Every single step forward is avictory, and recognizing it is
going to reinforce that habit ofaction and that continual faith

(09:48):
in yourself and your abilitiesand being able to surrender even
more each day.
So, with that, I also want toref I want you to reflect on
being grateful and just not onlycelebrating those small moments,
but documenting them.
Grab a journal, grab a pad ofpaper, grab even a whiteboard on

(10:12):
your fridge, a notepad on yourphone, whatever it is that you
have available to you, youalways have something available
to you.
Even if you are, say, driving asan example, and you're like, oh
my gosh, like this justhappened, I gotta be grateful.
Pull over, bring out yourrecorder on your phone.
Most phones have like a micrecorder.

(10:34):
I don't know what you call themrecorder.
Just search recording.
But open that up and then juststart talking while you're
driving and document it.
That's still note-taking.
That's still celebrating.
That's still having thatreflection time with yourself.
But take a few minutes everysingle day and jot down what
went well, what did you learn?

(10:55):
What small wins do you want tocelebrate?
And this simple practice willshift your focus from that fear
and frustration to growth, torecognize your progress and also
to recognize God's faithfulnessin this journey with you.
There has been things where if Ididn't have my prayer written

(11:17):
down, I wouldn't have been ableto look back, you know, three
years, five years, 10 years fromnow, which would have been
today, and looked at that andbeen like, oh my gosh, I cannot
believe how far I've come.
Wow.
It's crazy being able to lookback on those.
So make sure that you're doingthem.
So to end this episode, mychallenge for you this week is

(11:40):
to write down three small winsevery single day, no matter how
small they are.
Celebrate them.
Share them with a friend, sharethem with a community group that
you have, even share it with Godin prayer.
But I want you to celebrate yourprogress and to notice how your
confidence is going to grow eachand every single time you do

(12:01):
this because you're going to beable to look back each day and
see just a list ofaccomplishments every single
day.
So that is your step for today.
So just in closing today, I justwanted to thank you for joining
me today.
And just remember that fear isnormal.
It doesn't have to stop you.
So take that small step, celebrate your wins and trust

(12:25):
God every single step of theway.
If this episode helped you, please share your wins with me

Just I want to get to know alleach and every single one of you
