And he is playing for one hundred rolls of toilet paper.
You know it's not to be scoffed at.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:36):
Look, I suppose toilet paper is a commodity in today's world.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
So can you just give him as a bit of
a pump up. He doesn't usually need a pump up,
mes He's usually full of beans anyway, But just give
him a bit of a pump up and tell him
to bring home the bacon for you.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
Yeah, look, mez, look, I've just got a couple of
words for you.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Mate.
Speaker 5 (01:51):
The first time I ever met you was actually the
Holiday Awards a few years ago, and I remember that night.
You definitely didn't need a pump up, and I'm sure
today will be much the same. But stick fat, mate,
or you'll bring home the bacon, no doubt or the
toilet paper.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Mate.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
You've inspired me, Zach. I was only going to go
half effort, but now I'm going to go full effort
to you after that, well done.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
Yeah, I'll go hard in the toilet paper with you.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Mate.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Done. Thank you, Zach.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Let's go to Grace Smith. Now, Grace Smith, Jeraldine, you're
playing for Grace. Hello, Hi Grace, It's Peter Hell. Are
you from family? For you the podcast?
Speaker 2 (02:27):
How are you good?
Speaker 4 (02:27):

Speaker 1 (02:30):
I'm in the studio with two of my very good
friends and two of the funniest people in Australia Merrick Watts,
and representing you today. The one the only, Geraldine Hickey.
Say hi to Geraldine.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
Oh, good morning, Oh good morning. Yes, Hi Grace Halloi,
how you doing very well? Thanks?
Speaker 1 (02:48):
How are you good?
Speaker 5 (02:50):
You woke it up a winner feeling?
Speaker 4 (02:52):
Oh my, always always that winning feeling on pumped, very competitive,
That's what we like to hear.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Do you want to give gerald any parting words of
inspiration before we get started.
Speaker 5 (03:04):
Your whole life has led up to this moment for us.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
This is great, We've got this.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah. Thanks.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
I believe in myself even more now thanks to you.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
There's some mighty words to leave with Geraldine as we
head into Family Feud the podcast.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Let's get started. Here's out of game works.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
We played two rounds of Classic Feud, and then the
winner of those rounds gets advantage in our final Fast
Feud round.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
I cannot emphasize enough how.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Important it is to get the advantage in fast feud.
It basically means you get the first crack at all
the good answers okay, and that's where all the points
are okay. And it also just quietly, it means you
don't have to leave the studio and go into our
It's becoming quite a bane to deal with, to be honest,
but I had noise canceling Family Feud sleeping bag.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
There have been complaints.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
The winner of fast few take time, the glory and
the one hundred rolls of toilet paper for the family
they're representing.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
We ready, let's feud. This is round one of Classic Feud.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
We surveyed one hundred people and we wanted their top
answers to our questions.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
You each get three guesses.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
The person with the highest number of correct answers had
the end of the round wins. Now I need to
choose somebody to go first. I'm always very paranoid that
people are going to accuse me of playing favorites. Meerk
is one of my oldest friends in comedy. In fact,
my oldest friend in comedy is the first person I
met even before I started doing comedy. So I don't
(04:41):
want to be seen as giving you any favors, Merrick.
So I'm going to offer offer the chance to go
first to gerald and he's that okay with everybody?
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Oh, I'm fine with that. This is rigged possibly ladies,
ladies first with a chivalry. If that's what I am.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
All right, let's get into it. The survey question is
name something you might give as a house warming gift. Now,
for those people playing at home, here's some thinking time.
Also gives Geraldine a chance to gather her thoughts.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
People at home. I've had her think as well.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
Cherodine Hickey, Name something you might give as a housewarming gift?
Speaker 4 (05:30):
A plant?
Speaker 1 (05:31):
A plant is plant on the board. It's a hot
start from Geraldine Higgy. It is, in fact the top answer.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
Hey, I was going to say that. I was totally
going to say plant. In fact, I was almost going
to say vicus.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
I'm going to nominate the actual plant.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
Yeah, one hundred percent. I back myself in. All right, Okay,
we'll points to Jess.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Thirty five people said plant or pop plant. Merrick, name
something you might give as a housewarming gift.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Well, I'd like to say plant. I'm going to say toaster, toaster.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yes, it's toaster on the board. Toasters.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
It's the third most popular answer. Guys, that's great one.
All jeraldin Hi can names something you might give us
a housewarming gift.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
Mmmm, A a fruit bowl, a fruit and you can
put other knickknacks in it.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Fruit.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Yeah, that's right, put the keys in there.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Name something you might give us a housewarming gift.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Off to a hot. Start with pop plant. That's the
hot run. Continue with fruit bowl.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Well that's a hot, hot tip. If anyone wants to
get me a housewarming gift, I'd love a fruit.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Bowl in the mar for a fruit bowler. You're moving
house anytime soon. No, Merrick, name something you might give
us a housewarming gift.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Kettle, I'm doubling down the electrical appliances. I feel like
it's a hot spot.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Kettle.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
It went with toaster. M it's kettle on the board.
It stays, Hickey remains in the game. Here a chance
to take the lead before we go back to Merrick.
Name something you might give as a house warming gift.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
I'm going to go with a bottle of champagne.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Oh that's a bottle of champagne.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
Say alcohol, Yeah, I'll accept that. I'll accept any bottle
of alcohol. And to be absolutely honest, I was surprised
that maybe the Merrick didn't you think of that.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
First first, because he's drinking now during the show.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
It's really quite sad. In fact, this will turn into
an in the bench at some point.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
He's got it in a sports drink, but we all
know that it's actually just cheap mozelle.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Is a bottle of alcohol of any type? Champagne wine?
Is it on the board? Is the fourth most popular answer.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Still, there's your number two.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Does it? Does merit? Jardine's on two to stay in
round one?
Speaker 1 (08:27):
To equalize in round one, name something you might give
as a housewarming gift.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
I'm gonna say crockery plates, you know, like plates and crockery, okay, yep,
or color and crockery, you know stuff that.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Stuff fruit planter, but.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
No stuff Okay, stuff is not going to work coloring crockery,
cutlery and crockery because I'm trying to I'm actually trying
to wedge to answer, to give myself the best possible chance.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Maybe nominate one of those.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Far and you'd have to do that, wouldn't you. All right,
let's go with go with cutlery. I reckon, I'm going
with cutlery. Yeah, cutlerie.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Oh, you're taking the advice from your opponent. Interesting to level.
Round one is cutlery on the board, and we tie.
Round one. We're off to a hot start. Let's go
(09:31):
around two. It's time for round two. So that was
a tie jersey. You went first in round one, so
I'm gonna offer that to Merrick in round two. A reminder,
whoever wins this round now will take advantage in the
fast feud. You'll get the advantage, you'll get the first
(09:52):
crack at all the good answers, and you'll avoid the
family feud noise canceling sleeping bag, which I'm confident will
actually be in quite good condition this week.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Okay, you each.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Get three guesses. The person with the most correct answers
at the end of the round wins The survey question
is what would you do if you locked yourself out
of your house in your underwear? Now, for those playing
at home, here is some thinking music. Merk gathers his thoughts, Jereddine.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
Can I have a little think about this as well?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
And you can do that at home, Merrick, What would
you do if you lock yourself out of your house
in your underwear? Has this happened before, Merrek?
Speaker 3 (10:37):
Yes it has. In fact, I've also locked myself completely
nude outside of my hotel room. It's a long story.
I went to get the newspapers. I thought it was
an easy stretch in the door closed behind me, and
I was nude, and I had to use the newspapers
outside the hotel room as closed.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
I mean, I would suggest, I'm not sure if you
agree with me, Geraldine, but even if it was an
easy stretch, don't do it nude.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Nah, You're in a public's place, Mary, No matter what
part of you is actually external from the door, you
were actually technically nude in a public space. Anyway, That's
what I explained to the police.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
I literally had dressing gowns in the room for this reason.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
But okay, so the question was again Pete, What would
you do if you locked yourself out of your house
or potentially your hotel room in your underwear? Go to
the clothes line?
Speaker 2 (11:25):
Oh? Okay, of course, why not?
Speaker 3 (11:29):
You made me sound like a weirdo. Why do you
go to the clothes line? Come back wearing your tea?
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Toowl?
Speaker 3 (11:34):
No?
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Im thinking no, it's a good answer. Are there clothes
on the clothes line? Is met going to the clothes on?
Did anyone else go to the clothes line?
Speaker 2 (11:44):
What? No? Doesn't mean it's a bad answer.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
It does because I got the dick down. That's meant bad.
It doesn't mean good.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Yeah it does, I know in this case it does.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
But if you do get locked out of your house,
I think it's not a bad thing to do. Geraldine,
chance to go up early in round two? What would
you do if you lock yourself out of your house
and your underwear?
Speaker 4 (12:06):
There's no phone between the cracks? Is there? So I'm
not calling anybody?
Speaker 2 (12:13):
So maybe just realize it's cracky.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
There's no kne.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Spread cheeks.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
In case of emergency, I guess I would go to
go to the neighbors.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Is go to your neighbors on the board. It is
third night, it's okay, Merrick. What would you do if
you lock yourself out of your house in your underwear?
You have experience in this area.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
I do, and look I've actually got experienced in another area,
which is burglary. So I'm going to say, I'm going
to try and enter a window, break in through a window.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Use a window. Yep, yeah, I've done that is use
a window. On the board, there was that second top answer.
Well played me now level at one. All jerdy, you
used to have two questions ago. What would you do
(13:17):
if you like yourself out of your house and your underwear?
Speaker 4 (13:20):
Okay, I'm outside, I'm in Mundy's. There's nobody home, like
i'd get.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
It's not as simple as just knocking on the door.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
Yeah, well that would have been number one. If hello,
let me back in please? Okay, So I've tried the neighbors.
I live on my own, so nobody's coming home.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
I would.
Speaker 6 (13:47):
Go try the other neighbors.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
That on the board. I won't quite like that in you.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
No, no, no, don't knock that in. Okay, I would.
So you've tried a window, can we try like, I
don't know, just try and find someone else to help me.
So go for a walk and get some help.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Okay, is go for a walk to get some help
on the board. It's not on the board. Top answer
is still there. The top answer is still there. Merrick,
you have one guests remaining for a round two.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
It's one all and I reckon, I've got it, Pete.
I'm backing myself in here for number one. I've had
some thinking time, had a good heart look at myself.
I really done a positive self review in fact in
that short period of time. And I'm going to say,
go and find the hidden spare key. Why wouldn't you
have a hidden speak key? Everybody has a hidden speak key.
(15:03):
I hide my hidden Speare key inside the house because
that way it's safest find the hidden speak keys.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
My answer, I do wonder are they lucked out because
they know they have no access to the other key,
or had they not thought of the hidden key yet?
This is a dilemma is find the hidden key that
Merrick believes is the top answer?
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Is it on the board? People doing?
Speaker 3 (15:35):
How do you expense to get back in the house
if you locked down?
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Nude? You idiots.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
I can't believe that between two adults who have homes
that live in them and have done for quite some time.
Can't figure out the most effective way to get back
into the house that they live in.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
It's just never happened to me. I don't have a key.
I've got one of those keys, so I just punch
the code in and go back in, all.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Right, in Hickey, Yeah, what would you do if you
lock yourself out of your house in your underwear?
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Okay, well, I guess I'll just hang out and do
some sun baking.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
That's actually a pretty good answer. I drink. I drink
from the hose too late now.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Though, hang out and this some somebeat.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
Yeah, but what else can you do? Just hang out,
just to have a little lie down outside.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Just embrace it. Yeah, be in the moment.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
Yeah, in the moment.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Of course, when we asked these to the people who
were surveyed, we weren't. We didn't tell them what time
of day it was, so I guess it's about what
time they imagine in their own heads.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
Okay, just have a nap out in your garden.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
Okay, is have a nap.
Speaker 4 (16:56):
I'm feeling not very confident.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
I'm feeling good now.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
To take advantage into fast feud and to avoid the
family feud, noise canceling, sleeping bag, which some sees the
bigger prize is have a nap in the garden on
the board. On the board we have a tie in
(17:23):
round sue before we go to a tiebreaker. The first
and most popular answer on the board if you get
locked out of your house in your underwear, which I
think is a reasonably obvious one, is hide.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Have a nap in your garden.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
You could be napping in full view of everyone.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
Could your heid That's a coward's way.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Then we had used window, which you had, and we
had go to neighbors break in. We had run, cry
and laugh accepting your fate.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
Well, a nap, that was my emotional response.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
That was your Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
In hindsight, I would have drunk from the hose then
had a nap.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Well, this means, guys, it's tie in round one, a
tie round two, we're going to a tiebreaker.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
It's been a hot start.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
But neither of you have won around yet, which means
we go to a tiebreaker, and when in this round
gives you a major advantage in the final fast feud round.
The way a tiebreaker works is this, You get one
guess each and the person who gives the answer highest
on the board wins the round. We need you to
shout out your name the buzz in Jeredanke, you test
(18:37):
your buzzer excellent, mezsa mezza versus jezzer.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
I love it. We surveyed one hundred people and ask
them this question, what is something you use whilst moving.
Speaker 4 (18:50):
House A removalist?
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Merk, can you give an answer as well?
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Truck?
Speaker 4 (18:58):
Yeah, that's the same thing, reson removeless as a person.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
Or I'll change it. I'll say trolley if removalless is
the peak charge?
Speaker 2 (19:12):
Truck truck.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
I keep trying three answers.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Gerline said removalist. Merrick said, truck is removalist on the board.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
On the board. Have you not have standing? What has
it not on the board? Is truck on the board
for a win to Merrick?
Speaker 1 (19:38):
Wats it is on the board. Merrick wins in a
tie breaker. Perhaps controversial. I feel a little bit of
a jazz because I think I knew that you were
thinking about the whole package that comes.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
With the removalists.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
Yeah, that's all right.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Does mean though, that Merrick will take advantage in fast feud.
It does mean that Geraldine.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
I've gotta go get in that sleeping gotta go and
get in this now.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
I believe you'll have a lovely experience. It'll be cozy
in there. You may even have that nat that you
wanted to have in the garden. Let's go into fast
Feud right after the break. Now we have made it
to the final round, which means it's on the play
(20:25):
Fast Feud.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
I'll ask you both.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Five questions in quick succession, and you need to try
and guess the most popular answer straight off the top
of your head. That's where you need to focus your energy,
at the top of your head. If you take too long,
then I'll skip on to the next question and you'll
miss out on the chance to pick up those points.
The player with the most points at the end of
fast Feud wins the game. So merk, because you're won
Classic Feud, you'll be playing first. Geraldine. The time has come.
(20:51):
I'll get you to leave the studio and I wish
you the best of luck.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
Thanks everybody.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Oh, she's taking this badly. Should we stop? Should we stop? Now?
I mean this is like it was supposed to be fun.
But Jess looks really hurt.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
I think she looks worried because I know a lot
of people I have on the show mes are friends,
and I'd be lying if I haven't heard that. Some
of the talk around the comedy circuit has been about
the family feud, noise, canceling, sleeping bag, and people's experiences
in it.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
I mean some people refuse to come on because of
the sheer thought of having to get into it.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Oh yeah, on one of them.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Well that's why you played so hard.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Avoid All right, let's get this over with mess so
we can get Je's out. Merrick. I want your first
answer as soon as I finish the first question. Are
you ready to play fast feud? I am pete.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
Name the first electrical appliance you buy when you move
out of home toaster. Name the messiest room in your house, bedroom,
Name something you might find under the couch. Money name
something you find in almost every room of the house.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
Furniture.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Where is the worst place to be when someone knocks
on the front door?
Speaker 3 (22:11):
Toilet?
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Well played, well played, schood fault that How do you feel?
Speaker 3 (22:17):
No, I feel pretty good. I feel pretty good. Thank
you very much for providing the answers before we did
that segment when Geraldine it really helps do not put.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
My job at risk with baseless rumors and flood out lies.
I haven't had to use the term fake us before. Hell,
it's gonna get men, of course.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
I think we know.
Speaker 3 (22:40):
Look, you could just tell by how quickly I was
to react to the questions that you.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Natural the skills you learned in SAS Australia. I think
it came to the four there.
Speaker 3 (22:50):
Absolutely that happened a lot on Essas Australia. We would
often be asked about furnsure items inside the house and
it was a real tasks and I did well on it.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
So so there you go, life experience coming back to
play a role in family for you the podcast. Let's please,
can we let's get Jerline out of that sleeping bag.
Let's get it back in the studio. I'm keen to
hear that it was a nice experience. Don't hold your
breath though, maybe she had to.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Oh jez, what was it like?
Speaker 4 (23:18):
I'm just happy that I have ventilin on me.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
