Speaker 1 (00:53):
Thank you.
Hello guys, welcome to anotherfabulous episode of Fan Faces
Plus with your boy, amadouamadou the great.
Today I'm here to talk, talk toyou guys about, uh, my
experience out to the buffalobills, our neighborhood team,
our local team here in rochester, new york and western new york
(01:14):
buffalo bills.
Uh, we hope to have big thingshappen, but yesterday I went out
and watched the last pre-seasongame before they change it to
next year's only two preseasongames and 18 regular season
games.
So come on down, help us, comealong on this journey with me
and I'll tell you some of theinteresting facts and
(01:36):
information that I got fromyesterday's occasion.
So I'll jump off the top here.
Thank you for everybody that'slistening, thank you for
everybody that continues tolisten, and I appreciate
everybody that's still a fan ofmine that's going to continue to
patronize my podcast, fan FacesPlus.
I'm happy that you're comingalong on this journey with me,
(02:00):
because when we make it big, notif when we make it big I know
you were there along with me onthis journey.
So let's go.
Yesterday I went to the BuffaloBills last preseason game
against the Panthers, theCarolina Panthers.
I'm also a fan of the Panthers.
I was a fan of the Pantherswhen they had Cam Newton, but
(02:22):
now I have no loyalty to any oneteam.
My loyalty lies with theplayers, because I play fantasy
football and yesterday we wentto Buffalo to start it off.
I purchased my tickets onTicketmaster and Vivid
Entertainment Seats helped mepurchase my ticket.
(02:42):
But they sell basic.
When you go to go buy ticketsfootball event tickets they sell
them by the twos, so you couldonly buy two tickets at a time,
not one at a time.
So I purchased two tickets.
I took my son with me.
You'll see him in the videos,in the videos of the, in the
videos of the event that Irecorded and the videos that I
(03:03):
recorded while at the game.
You'll see him there.
He will be sitting with me.
He's the one that recorded mefor my commentary while the game
was going on.
But I purchased two tickets andeach ticket has a transaction
fee.
What is a transaction fee?
Why is there a transaction fee?
I don't get it.
I think it's a bunch of hooey.
But for each ticket there'slike a $7 transaction fee.
(03:25):
I ended up paying the tickets Ibelieve were like $22, $22,
$23,.
A $7 transaction fee ended uptaking me all the way up to $60
plus tax, so $62 total for thetickets.
And then I'm like I've nevergone to a game.
So typically, if you've nevergone to a game, you want to do
(03:48):
the safest thing possible.
And the safest thing possiblein my mind was let me pay for
parking as well while I'm here.
And I came to find out thatthere's also a transaction fee
for parking and these are notcovered.
Parking lots, it's not like in aparking garage, it's just you
know a lot where they have lotsof space for people to park, for
(04:09):
cars to park.
It's open, it's outside.
And when I got there, I waslike they charged me an extra
$16 for a transaction fee for meto pay for parking and I didn't
really care much for that.
I feel like I mean, it's anawesome experience, but the way
they go about it, they're reallybamboozling the customers.
(04:29):
But it is an awesome experience, but they're trying to gouge
you out of every single penny inevery single way.
You can't take food inside thestadium and I was just you can't
take food.
You can't take anything insidethe stadium because they have
people that check your bagswhile you know.
While you're in the stadium, they have people that check your
bags as you're trying to enterinto the stadium.
(04:50):
I had purchased electronictickets so it was easy.
All I had to do was show themmy phone and they scanned it
electronically and both my sonand I were able to gain entrance
into the football game Once wegot in.
We walked in, walked towardsour section, sat down.
But the people let me backtrack, the people that live near the
(05:10):
stadium they make a killing.
So they're like you know, youcould park in my parking spot,
you could park at my house for40 cash only.
So people like that to steal, because if you're paying for a
parking ticket for almost I meana parking ticket in the state
near the stadium or with in thestate within the stadium is 60,
(05:31):
costs you 64 and that's a bittoo much.
It's a bit wild seeing as thethe teams make money off of tv
revenue, commercial revenue, licensing fees of uh showing the
games on different channels, and commercial revenues, local
(05:52):
commercial revenue and licensingfees that the NFL give them.
So these teams make a killing.
Pre-season, post-season.
Pre-season they make a killing.
Regular season they make akilling.
Post-season they make an evenbigger killing because they
probably can increase the amountyou pay for parking because now
(06:13):
, these are special games andthe more home games you have,
the more they could charge forthem, because they're like these
are special games, these aregames to take us to the playoff
and take us to the um, take usto the what's it called to the
championship games.
So I I spent the money and Iwas just like that's pretty
interesting that you know peoplethat live near the stadium that
(06:37):
they could charge you $40 cash.
Take advantage of yourcircumstances, that you are in,
which is pretty cool.
I mean, it's an awesome thingbecause it's tax-free when you
charge somebody $40 to park inyour driveway for four hours or
so and it's basically $10 anhour.
(06:58):
But we ended up leaving athalftime and there was still
traffic.
We left at halftime becausewe're trying to avoid traffic,
but we still ran into traffic.
We left the stadium at around2.30, didn't get home until
almost 4.30.
It was an hour drive butbecause of the traffic it ended
up taking us two hours to getback home.
(07:18):
But it was productive.
It was a productive day spent.
We didn't buy anything at theconcessions in the stadium.
We bought something out of itonce we left.
But it was an interestingexperience.
I'll put the videos in for youguys to watch and, uh, you guys
(07:38):
can leave in the comments downbelow on tiktok, on youtube and
on facebook.
You guys can leave in thecomment section how you know,
how you enjoyed my commentaryand how you enjoyed the
experience coming along with me.
Well, uh guys, I thank you andhere's the video.
I don't need your money.
No To me, I have no way.
(08:17):
Then I made a Thank you.
