Prepare to witness the legend of Patrick Mahomes grow as we analyze his colossal impact on the NFL, akin to the Brady era's psychological warfare. The recent Super Bowl has reshaped the landscape, with Mahomes leading the Chiefs to a feat that left the rigging accusations in the dust. We dissect Kansas City's defensive prowess and their offense that did just what was necessary, setting the stage for a league where the name 'Mahomes' invokes both awe and fear. Plus, we're giving you the inside scoop on the narrative shift that's changing the game for everyone in Mahomes' domain.

Experience the delicate dance of respect and boundaries in sports through our insightful conversation, sparked by Cam Newton's enlightening camp encounter. We're peeling back the layers on athlete interactions, contrasting Newton's laid-back vibe with the Manning brothers' more structured demeanor, and what this means for setting expectations in young athletes. Our dialogue takes a turn into the murky depths of entitlement, highlighted by a heated moment between Kevin Durant and a self-proclaimed influencer. Join us as we dissect the fine line public figures walk between engagement and maintaining their dignity amid provocation.

Finally, we're lacing up for a sneak peek into the NBA finals, weighing the odds of teams like the Nuggets against the unpredictable variable of player health. Djokovic's extraordinary talents get a special nod as we ponder his team's potential to dominate the court. But we're not just about the games; we're also driving home the importance of civic engagement, urging you to cast your vote and play a part in shaping our collective future. It's a jam-packed session that marries the thrill of sports with the responsibilities of citizenship, and we can't wait for you to join the dialogue.

So come along with us on theride.
Andrew, what's happened in yourlife?

Andrew P (00:31):
Well, you know a lot of fun stuff with the sports
industry.
We got the baseball started andwe got the basketball playoffs
and one coming up soon, Samewith hot footballs over with.
I haven't seen you since youwent to Africa yeah, in December
.

Amadu J (00:45):
Yeah, actually.
Yeah, I went to Africa inJanuary.
You haven't seen me sinceJanuary and you missed the Super
Bowl.
I saw the football playoffs.
Yeah, I did miss the Super Bowl.
I was here for the Super Bowl.
Oh, I came back at the end ofJanuary.
I caught the Super Bowl andthere's a bunch of people out
there like Super Bowl, jere,we'll get into that.

(01:06):
You can't have new to battle.
We'll get into that.
We got what's it called KD'sargument with somebody that
calls themselves an influencer.
We'll get into that.
Oh, that was fun.
And we'll keep it short andsweet because, you guys, we got
to keep you updated and give youour take on how daily life, pop

(01:28):
culture and sports are blendingtogether.
All right, here we go, andrew.
All right, let's go, let's go.
We got so the first topic athand where three weeks out, it's
March.
We're in the middle of March, now second week in March.
But the Super Bowl happened andpeople were like, oh my God,
patrick Mahomes, they rigged itfor them, this, that and the

(01:49):
third.
But I don't believe that that'sa story.
The story that they should betalking about, about the Super
Bowl, is Patrick Mahomes andcompany.
They were supposed to suck.
They were not supposed to bethere at all, but they managed
to find a way to be Lamar andthe Ravens.
They found a way to beat whoelse?

(02:11):
Josh Allen.
Josh Allen and the the dolphinsin Kansas City and the dolphins
in Kansas City and then make itto the Super Bowl and beat the
San Francisco 49ers.
It wasn't supposed to happen.
They didn't have the offensivefirepower.
It was a defense this year.
It was a defense but they didjust enough.
That is the scariest thing thatcould ever, ever happen to the

(02:32):
league.
Why do you say that?
Cause that's a gritty-esquething to do.
Your defense carries you.
You do just enough to win.
And Patrick Mahomes and companyPatrick Mahomes and Regina Rice
and Travis Kelsey and therunning back what's the running
backs name?
I'll get back to him.
He runs hard.
All three of them managed tofind a way to win a championship

(02:55):
.
And McCall Hardman, the SuperBowl hero who was cut, who was
traded away again to Kansas Cityby the Jets, ended up being the
Super Bowl hero.
And they use the same play thatthey used on Philly the year
before to win the Super Bowl.
So it's all crazy If you thinkabout it and you sit down and

(03:15):
you think about it Movingforward.
Teams are no longer competingagainst Patrick Mahomes, they're
competing against the myth ofPatrick Mahomes.
When I say the myth, it's likeif you're winning against Tom
Brady and all sudden, you're uphigh.
You hope that you don't makemistakes that are going to
derail you, and that's allthat's in your mind.
Instead of preparing to do whatyou want to do, you're going to

(03:39):
say oh, I wish, I hope I don'tmess up, I hope I don't mess up.
And then you end up messing up,and when you end up, when you
end up, you're going to mess up.
And when you end up, when youend up messing up, you end up
manifesting what was in yourhead all along, and that's what
players are going to be playingagainst.
Moving forward with PatrickMahomes and the Chiefs, you're
going to manifest your destinyand the fact that you're going
to lose against them.
Instead of just going in there.

(04:00):
You've had a game plan all week, executing it to the max.
Be like Eli Manning and theGiants Execute your game plan.
Hit Tom Brady as often aspossible, hit Patrick Mahomes as
often as possible and executeyour game plan.
The Chiefs are doing.

Andrew P (04:14):
I'm sorry the 49ers were doing that in the Super
Bowl.
They got to after Mahomes a lot, especially in the first half
and then yeah they did.

Amadu J (04:21):
But in your mind you manifested the fact that Patrick
Mahomes is going to come back.
No matter how Fourth quarter,no matter how much we're up by,
patrick Mahomes is going to comeback, as you're going to come
back, and when he does, that'sgoing to be over for us.
And the moment you startfumbling, it's like you have
this, you have this ball in yourhands and you have wet gloves.

(04:43):
You start fumbling it and whenyou start fumbling it, what
happens?
Things just start.
Our big mess just startshappening.
You start to.
You try to catch it here, youtry to catch it there.
Nothing works.
The 49ers defense looked great.
Three quarters Look great, almost even into the fourth
quarter, but in overtime theycan stop anything.

(05:04):
It's like what happened.
So moving forward.
Kansas City Patrick Mahomes.
Patrick Mahomes.
Kansas City Andy Reed.
Travis Kelsey will soon be out,but Patrick Mahomes could
probably play another 15, 20years if he chooses to.
It is a lot, but it'sdefinitely possible.
Dude is young.
He could play right into his40s, late 40s, if he wants to.

(05:26):
Just makes his body.
Yeah, the way technology is theway they're taking care of
quarterbacks.
You're not following with a D,okay.
So it's definitely possible.
So, moving forward, of thegreats in all sports Wayne
Gretzky, michael Jordan, tomBrady at Patrick Mahomes to the
list.
You're playing against theghosts of Patrick Mahomes, the
myth of Patrick Mahomes becausehe could not have a great

(05:48):
supporting cast and he couldstill go out there and win.
You're a fun player, yeah, because in your head you're like
, oh my God, here he comes, they're coming, they're coming,
they're coming.
But it doesn't have to be thatway.
When I wrestled, you know whatI did.
I'm not the greatest wrestler, but when I wrestled, I'm like,
okay, you're like, oh, you'rewrestling against somebody.
Great, I'm like, that's fine, Ihave a game plan, my game plan

(06:10):
is my game plan, their game planis their game plan.
But I'm going to try my bestand honest to execute mine and
not worry about what they'redoing.
And when you go out there, youstart worrying about what
Patrick Mahomes is going to docome fourth quarter.
What Patrick Mahomes is goingto do, come over time.
What end you eat is going to do, come over time.
What happens is he starts tocrumble mentally and then
physically starts to manifestitself.

(06:31):
You start doing things tosabotage yourself.
But is it more about?

Andrew P (06:34):
the defense and them sabotaging themselves?
Or is it more to do withPatrick Mahomes and how he is
able to kind of like figureeverything out in the first
three quarters and then by thefourth quarter, he's really to
understand what's going onagainst him and he finds a way
to beat that.

Amadu J (06:49):
I mean that also is a factor for sure.
But Tom Brady won Super Bowlsmainly because people were
afraid of him, Teams were afraidof him.
They go there, they play it.
It's an all factor.

Andrew P (07:01):
I don't think any of these teams are afraid of Tom
Brady.
I don't think the Lana Falconswere afraid of Tom Brady.

Amadu J (07:09):
There's 12, 23.
There's 11 guys on the field.

Andrew P (07:12):
It only takes one guy to not do their job and
everything crumbles, but keep inmind too, like the Patriots won
two of their six Super Bowlsbecause, number one, the Seattle
Seahawks didn't run the ball inthe goal line when it was only
second down, and number two, because the Lana Falcons lost

(07:32):
that huge 23 lead in the fourthquarter because they didn't run
the ball and use the clock.
They decided to try to likescore another 20 points in the
fourth quarter and they had noneed to.

Amadu J (07:45):
What would cause you to stop doing what you did that
was so successful, if not fairEgo?

Andrew P (07:51):
It's not ego, it's like, okay, I'll give you an
example.
It's like Super Bowl 25 withthe Buffalo Bills and the New
York Giants.
Bill Belcher, who was thedefensive coordinator at the
time for the New York Giants, knew the Bills ego was so big
they were going to throw theball no matter what.
So they only put like threeguys at the line when they could
have just run.
If the Bills was huge, theywould have been Thomas the

(08:11):
runner ball.
They gave them open fields, butthey knew they were going to do
it because they wanted to throwthe ball, so they threw the
ball the entire time.
They want to show that.
And it wasn't until the fourthquarter that the Bills were like
you know what, they're givingup these huge lanes.
Maybe we should just give theball to Thurmond Thomas to run
the ball.
And that's when they startedkind of like really moving the
offense.

(08:31):
So sometimes they can give youthese defenses, will give you
lane, but they know your ego isso big.
It's just, it all depends onhow that's going to be
structured and, like I said, like the Falcons had the
Patriots to beat, it was a donedeal thing.
All they do is just run theball, use the clock, manage the

(08:51):
game that way.
The games don't, they don't evenhave the Patriots don't even
have time to react to that.
But their ego is so big andthey're like, eh, we can leave
it, score all these points allday long, we'll keep the winning
.
Now, you didn't, and then thePatriots came back and won the
game.
So that's also a lot to do withit and I think I don't think
the 49ers had an ego problem.

(09:11):
They should bowl.
It was just, literally, theChiefs got things figured out
after three quarters of justgetting beat by the 49ers, and
the 49ers did miss some goodopportunities to extend the
league Christian McCaffrey.

Amadu J (09:26):
Llanum, llanum, llanum they did.

Andrew P (09:29):
Yeah, that's another thing.
Like these, like people moveaway from this from their run
game, and, and, and and.
Shanahan was the offensivecoordinator for the Fathkins
Fathkins as well, so it's likethere he goes.
You know, all those years laterhe moves away from the run game
and from, and this one, theymove away from the run game.
It's like he's your basketballplayer.

(09:50):
Give it to Christian McCaffrey, just like.
Let him keep doing his thingand you guys are managing the
game a lot better.
But, for whatever reason, theyfeel like we just need to throw
the ball and you're allowingpatched my homes to get back
into that game that way, becausethe defense Kudos to the Chiefs
defense was able to stop theyou know the passing game and
which gave him moreopportunities and more time to

(10:14):
make that come.

Amadu J (10:15):
Well, I mean different view there my view as well, but
I mean fear.
For me, I feel like works agreat deal when you feel like
here they come, they're comingagain, they're coming to get us,
we've messed up, but we'veknocked that topic down.
Let's get on to the next topicat hand.
Mr Cameron Cameron, your buddy,he did such a great thing.

(10:38):
There was a meme that they puton Facebook where they showed
Cam Newton getting stomped.
I was like, after I have toldyou, this is what you do to me.
And then they had in the sameclip, up on top they had Peyton
Manning and Eli Manning runningthe camp and came across so
respectful, this, that and thethird like, yeah, thanks guys

(11:00):
for coming to our camp.
It was good.
But uh, Cam Newton, here's mybig old revelation how you start
a relationship is how it'sgoing to go.
Cam Newton came in with abravado.
I'm a young guy, you knowtalking junk to these kids,
treating them as if they're allequals when they're not.
It's your camp.

(11:20):
You should not give thesepeople.
Well, you could treat themrespectfully, but don't talk to
them in a manner which theycould eventually turn around and
feel that you guys on all equalfooting when you're not.
If you want your respect, youhave to have built it earlier.
You're Cam Newton, you're on a.
You know you're one of the top, top, top quarter backs in the

(11:41):
league to ever play, you're oneof the best to ever do it.
And for these kids to just comeup to you and, you know,
disrespect you in that manner, that should never been allowed.
That should never come to be.
That should never been athought that crossed your mind,
because the way you startinteracting with them determines
how they're going to treat you.
Moving forward, you come in.
You're like hey, buddy, we'refriends.

(12:01):
Okay, oh, you're my buddy,we're friends.
And instead of Sir Cam Newton, this is Mr Cam Newton or this is
Mr Newton.
Da, da, da, da da.
And keep the respect on ahundred.
If you don't, these kids aregoing to start treating you like
their peers and you know youtalk trash.
Then they talk trash back toyou and eventually they're
stomping you out or trying tostomp you out and you would have

(12:23):
been like, had I known I shouldhave never given them.
You know I shouldn't havetreated them like that.
It's partially your fault, butalso, I mean, I guess the kids
have to take responsibility onthe guys they're coaching.
The other teams have to takeresponsibility for their guys,
but I would never, never if Ihad, like you know, the status
that Cam Newton has go in therelike, belittle myself by talking

(12:45):
reckless to people, it's all infun, yeah, it's all fun until
somebody takes it the wrong wayand then they react to you in a
manner that you're like, oh, Ididn't expect this, you don't
expect it.
Don't bring it to the table tostart with, because your, cam
Newton, you're up there, youwanted the best to ever do it.
Keep that in mind and do that.
And don't I mean, if anybody isapproaching you, let them go

(13:07):
through security guards orsomething like that.
Don't let it be.
They have free range to you tocome approach you like an open
door policy, because you're aprofessional you wanted to best
ever do it.
Keep that respect between you.

Andrew P (13:20):
How was the interaction with Peyton Manning
and Eli Manning with the players?
Did the kids come up to them?
Were they able to interact withthem?

Amadu J (13:26):
No, kids will come up to them, but they're not like in
in player gear and they'reready to run around there with
the kids and roll around.
It looked like you know theyput on a jumpsuit like this and
you know just, I keep myboundary, I keep my distance.
You're doing your thing withthe coaches.
I'm not so much involved.
It's my camp.
I'll show some things, I'llteach some things, but I'm not

(13:47):
so involved to the point whereyou're in my face, I'm in your
face.
You're talking crap to me, I'mtalking crap to you, which in
the long run brings disrespect, because now you're so
comfortable with how we'reinteracting, you feel that you
could do something or saysomething to me, that you know
we're just two people on thesame level, doing, doing you
know, I don't want to sweardoing stuff that doesn't come

(14:11):
across as respectful to eachother.
So the bottom line is Cam Noon, maintain respect, moving
forward.
If you don't maintain yourrespect and you don't have, you,
don't put it out there as ifthis is what I deserve then
people are going to takeadvantage of it and somebody's
going to want to stump you outfor a bet.
Somebody's going to want tofight you.
Yeah, you, big boy 260, 250, 64, 65.

(14:34):
But somebody may want to giveyou all the smoke.
So in the future, carry yourselfin the manner and track with
the people the same the firsttime you meet them, interact
with them in a level that youwant them to treat you, moving
forward and forever and everwith your interactions.
So the thought won't even crossyour mind that we're going to

(14:55):
go jump Cam Newton.
Why in the hell would you besitting there thinking about
jumping Cam Newton?
You're not going to jump EliManny.

Andrew P (15:02):
You're not going to jump, kate Manny.
I don't think they went intothe camp thinking they were
going to jump.

Amadu J (15:04):
Cam Newton?
They did, but they felt relaxedenough around him to feel that
this is a possibility.
We could do that to him.
Like you know, I could crossthat line.
They might not have planned it,but if it happens, then this is
what we're going to do.
It's just goofy, but that'sthat.
Let's jump to that guy KD withthe social media influencer or

(15:28):
the podcaster.
What happened with that?
I don't know the details ofthat.

Andrew P (15:33):
Apparently, I didn't even know he was a podcaster
until he made an announcementthat he said put out a podcaster
, great, yeah, so anyway.
So some grown man who has thesereally nice tickets to the
Mavericks game, kevin Darryan, comes on the court, calls him B,
you're a B, and Kevin Darryanturns around and starts walking

(15:54):
back towards the guy and the guyshit himself as he should, and
so Kevin's, you know, talking tohim and the guy is like you
know, for whatever reason, hisway of rationalizing his
behaviors that he has a podcast, which is stunning.
So this guy obviously is makingsome decent money if he's going
to afford those nice floortickets to the Mavericks game.

(16:15):
But it's just gotten to a pointand you know, in Kevin
Darryan's credit, like he didn'thave him kick I mean he could
have kicked the guy out, hedidn't do it, which shows a lot
of Kevin Darryan's characterWith strength.
Yeah, I think that's great, butI mean.

Amadu J (16:31):
Andrew.
Kevin Darryan may show hisstrength there, but hop on Kevin
Darryan's burner account.

Andrew P (16:38):
And Kevin Darryan, he will, he will draw with you and
I think that's, that's cool andthe burner he will draw with you
in the burner account.
But I think it's just to me.
I'm just really fascinated bythese grown men that feel
entitled, yeah, and almost inthe interest or you call me

(17:00):
comfortable Like you're going toa game, like go to a game
because you want to watch theseprofessionals play.
You know you get to watch yourfavorite team represent your
city.
Get lost in that.
The idea of I'm going to nowdehumanize these athletes for no

(17:23):
other reason, just to get areaction, is this mind modeling
to me, especially when you're agrown up, like you know, when
you're a kid, you always thinkthat, like grown ups have their,
you know their stuff togetherand just like, listen to the
adults.
And then you get older andyou're like no, the pictures is
about f up as these kids war, like really, like my, my kids,
like if I took them to the gamewould be more well behaved than

(17:47):
this grown man.

Amadu J (17:49):
The same goes.
How pathetic is that.
Don't do as I do, do as I tellyou, but it's the dumbest thing.

Andrew P (17:56):
Like I, people are so comfortable.
It's like I'm glad you guys arecomfortable, but the fact that
you're comfortable, why is thatyour reaction?
Why is it that that is what youwant to say to Kevin Durant?
Why not be like yo man, have agood game, or you know?
Why is it that like you want tocall him a bitch Like for?

Amadu J (18:16):
what reason?

Andrew P (18:17):
The reason that you think you're going to throw him
off his game, like you think you, by doing that before tip off,
character is thinking about youthe whole game and probably
gonna drop five points.
Is that what you think is gonnahappen, cause you're not gonna
throw him off his game?
Nah, he's a grown guy andeverything's on camera nowadays.
So like we're gonna see you actthis way and then it's gonna go

(18:40):
viral and they're gonna havesome you know podcasts like ours
talk about it because it'severywhere now.
So like this dude's gonna beknown as the dumbass and gets
you somehow is able to affordthese nice tickets and call
Darren Kevin Durant a bitchbeing a grown man.

Amadu J (18:56):
Like how.
Well, andrew that's a lot ofpassion for that guy.
He's not paying our bills, solet's keep it pushing for them.
He's very slow.
Kd, you will hop on that burnerand let him know what it is.
Kd has a Twitter burner, so hehop on that burner and let him

(19:18):
know what it is.
Free smoke free smoke, but youknow that's the size of case.
The NBA championships are coming.
Well, may, june, so in Junethey'll be coming right around
the corner.
Man, the top teams in the East, top teams in the West, top
teams in the East, top teams inthe West I don't know.
I know the nuggets are one ofthem.

(19:39):
And in the West, in the East, there's the Celtics and maybe
the Bucks, maybe the Heat.
The Heat have the Celticsnumber.
So we'll see how that goes, butthe nuggets are destined to win
it again.
It looks like because theircore didn't go anywhere.
The only person that they'rereally, really, really really
playing, paying is Djokovic, andhe's healthy.

(20:00):
So the healthiest team in theNBA finals is gonna win.
So the nuggets may go back toback, just like the Chiefs were
back in a circle.

Andrew P (20:09):
The nuggets are fantastic.
They have no other All.

Amadu J (20:13):
Stars other than Djokovic, Djokovic, Djokovic.
Yeah well, they don't need anyother.
All Stars, Everybodycompliments him.
He compliments everybody.
He's a great passer, great rimprotector.
Doesn't jump, but he does histhing, so that's awesome for him
.
Doesn't jump?
Well, he jumps but doesn't jump.

Andrew P (20:30):
Well, doesn't need to jump very high, he's big he
likes horses.

Amadu J (20:35):
It's a good time, but what's happening in pop culture
these days?
Ah, the elections are comingaround the corner and go vote,
Go vote and make sure it counts.
I guess that's all we can say.
So if you're a Republican in?

Andrew P (20:54):
New York state.
Go vote.
You have the Democrats.
We're still gonna win becauseit's Republicans.

Amadu J (20:59):
Hey, republicans rigged for Republicans in Republican
states.
Democrats rigged.

Andrew P (21:04):
There's only a few states that, like you can.

Amadu J (21:06):
Democrats rigged for Democrats in Democratic run
states.
That's life.
That's what we've come to see.

Andrew P (21:12):
I'm just saying, for example, you were Republican in
California.
What's the point?

Amadu J (21:16):
Go vote.
Your vote still counts.
Your number it counts.
It does it does lose, it's allright.
Go vote.
Whatever you believe in, govote.
You don't know the outcomeuntil the outcome has been put
in your face.
Elections are not around thecorner.
But we have our two candidates.
You have Joseph R Biden, wehave Donald J Trump.
Is that official?

(21:37):
Yet when does it becomeofficial?
It's official.
It's issue, man.
Is it official?
Yeah, because Haley dropped outof the election.

Andrew P (21:45):
And so out of a country with how many million
people now, 400 million, I don'tknow Our two best options are
two elderly men.

Amadu J (21:53):
That's how it goes, man .
If you decided to run, you'reof age 45.

Andrew P (21:59):
Bro, I think you could be 35 to run for best.

Amadu J (22:02):
Oh yeah, 35, so you're good to go.
If Andrew wants to run, go putyourself out there.
Maybe it was an optionindependent.

Andrew P (22:09):
Vote.
Vote Pender for president.

Amadu J (22:12):
Why not Vivek Ramaswamy ?
They asked him if he'd giveDonald Trump some money, if he'd
loan him some money.
He talked and talked and talkedand talked and never answered
the question.

Andrew P (22:25):
It's amazing how people can talk so much and they
actually have nothing to say.

Amadu J (22:28):
Well, he did it the right way.
He didn't want to say nobecause he figures Donald Trump
still has his politicalambitions in his hands.
But here's the funny thingDonald Trump says he won the
last election, but if you would, you're not eligible to run
